RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE POSITIONED 9 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 2000 METRES TO 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 11 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO POSITIONED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer C.D.Katrak permission was granted to Trainer S.Waheed to saddle his charge BLAVATSKY in the 1st race & MYKONOS in the 3rd race, at his (Trainer C. D. Katrak’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer S.S.Attaollahi, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge SCHIAVONE in the 6th race, at his (Trainer S. S. Attaollahi’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer D.J.Surti, permission was granted to Trainer Vijay Kasbekar to saddle his charges EMERALD FORTUNE and GYAHANA in the 8th race, at his (Trainer D.J.Surti’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(92) – THE CIRCLE OF BLISS PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – 5 Runners

 

GAABRRIO (D.K.Ashish) whipped around at the 2000 metres, dislodging the rider. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting with him to race.

 

After the race, GAABRRIO was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore fetlock.

 

RACE NO.2(93) – THE CAPRIOLE PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 6 Runners

 

JEFFERSON (P.Trevor) leaned inwards as soon as the start was effected, momentarily unbalancing the rider.

 

TURF DANCER (App.Yash Narredu, dr.6) was observed to shift in soon after the start thereby tightening the field on his inside. App.Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in before the red marker.

 

After the race, IMPERIAL PRINCESS was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the left hind fetlock, cannon and pastern. JEENA had a cut injury at the left fore coronet.

 

RACE NO.3(94) – THE  MYSTIC MEMORY DOUBLE STAKES: (About) 1400 Metres – 5 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer S.S.Shah, PAPAKURA was examined at 1820 hours on 27/08/2015 and was found to have a painful swelling at the left hock and was sore from the left hind leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

At the request of Trainer C.D.Katrak, ROSIE SUNSHINE was examined at 1920 hours on 29/08/2015 and was found to be sore from the left fore leg. As such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

RACE NO.4(95) – THE KEJRIWAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

FAST LADY (App.Yash Narredu) lost 2 lengths at the start.

 

As the start was effected, INVINCIBLE (Akash Agarwal) was observed to have hit the side partition of the gate unbalancing the rider.

 

Near 1000 metres, due to a tightly packed field INVINCIBLE (Akash Agarwal) who was racing between DESERT RAGE (App.R.Ajinkya) and TINOGONA (S. Sameer) was jostled and dropped back on to FAST LADY (App.Yash Narredu), forcing the latter to check.

 

Turning for home, VICTORIA HARBOUR (Suraj Narredu) shifted in on to DOMINGO (J.Chinoy) who in turn went on to CHASE THE ACE (Satish Nayak).

 

After the race, INVINCIBLE, DOMINGO and TINOGONA were found to be sound. INVINCIBLE had a cut injury at the left fore fetlock and FAST LADY had a gum injury.

 

 

RACE NO.5(96) – THE  DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that whilst being saddled, SCHIEHAILLON played up and had a fall at the saddling enclosure. On examination, the gelding was found to have suffered abrasion at the right fore cannon and on both hocks. As such, SCHIEHAILLON was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

CHLOBUD (App.S.J.Sunil) was reluctant to be stalled and IN MY LIFE  (S.Mosin) was restless in the stall. Trainers Sanjay Kolse and S.S.Shah have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

ANVILL STAR ( N. S. Parmar, dr.8) jumped out Leaning inwards and bumped CEASARINA (J. Chinoy, dr.7) who in turn went on to  HORSE POWER (App.Vishal, dr.6). Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

ROMAN FLAME (App.Abhijeet Sawant, dr.10) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with PRAELECTOR (App.Akshay Gaikwad, dr.9) who shifted out after start and thereafter, ROMAN FLAME shifted out on to QUIZICAL (App.S.A.Amit, dr.11)

 

Approaching the 400 metres, IN MY LIFE (S.Mosin) and HORSE POWER (App.Vishal) were observed to shift out on to QUIZICAL (App.S.A.Amit).

 

App.Abhijeet Sawant (ROMAN FLAME) has been referred back to the Apprentice Jockey School to enable him to further improve his riding skills. He is not allowed to accept rides until the Club’s Riding Instructor gives him the clearance.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the improved performance of MYSTIC ROMANCE and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, ROMAN FLAME was found to be sound.

 

 RACE NO.6(97) – THE THREPTIN FILLIES’ & MARES’ STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1800 Metres – 6 Runners

 

SNOWING (App.Yash Narredu) was slowly out, losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

 

After the race App.Yash Narredu (SNOWING) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, SNOWING was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(98) – THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

WAJOOD (J. Chinoy) was observed to be running erratic. On questioning, Jockey J.Chinoy stated that the gelding was too keen and he was trying to settle him.

 

After the race, PEPPERCORN and WAJOOD were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(99) – THE GLASNOST PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

EMERALD FORTUNE (Altaf Sayyed) got loose on the way to the start and bolted riderless. The mare had a fall on the track and suffered multiple injuries at the left elbow, right hind fetlock and abrasions on the right shoulder and at the left hock. As such, EMERALD FORTUNE was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. The Trainer has been asked to school his charge to proceed to the start and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter during a Mock Race, before next accepting with her to race.

 

After being stalled, BIG BANG (J.Chinoy) tried to duck the front gates. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and was found to have suffered a cut injury above the left eye and abrasions above the right eye. As such, BIG BANG was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order.

 

App.S.J.Sunil (SUNSHINE HEART) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed  limit on his mount. This being his third offence, his App.Jockey’s license has been suspended w.e.f. 19th September to 20th September 2015 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

The saddle on RACHEL was observed to have slipped back during the race. Trainer S.Waheed has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

SAVAGE GARDEN (1st race), JEFFERSON (2nd race), REMEMBER ME (3rd race), VICTORIA HARBOUR (4th race), MYSTIC ROMANCE (5th race), AQUAMARINE (6th race), HEDWIG (7th race) and ABSOLUTE JEWEL (8th race), as also that of SCHIAVONE & SNOWING (6th race), and the special sample of BLAVATSKY (1st race), HIGHLAND KING (2nd race) ROMAN FLAME and ANVILL STAR (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance
