RACE NO.1 (181) – THE BRAVE HUNTER PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 13

 

Jockey Mukesh Kumar, rider of MA CHERIE was observed to have sported a body protector of an unapproved standard, the same was brought to the attention of the Stipendiary Stewards and Jockey Mukesh Kumar was asked to ride in an approved body protector. As such, Jockey Mukesh Kumar has been fined Rs.10,000/- for not sporting an approved body protector and for not cooperating with the Stipendiary Stewards during the enquiry.

 

At the start, BALENO (S. A. Amit, dr.3) jumped inwards, at the same time FLASH MOB (C. Umesh, dr.5) jumped outwards thereby tightening and inconveniencing ABHYANKAR (A. S. Peter, dr.4) drawn between them causing the latter to be checked.

 

Approaching the 1500 metres, MARLBORO MAN (T. S. Jodha) shifted in and went across SUSSING (S. J. Sunil) causing the latter to check and change course who went onto JACKSON (A. Sandesh) who further shifted out and carried LEO THE LION (K. Nazil) outwards. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey T. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 400 metres, MARATHA ADMIRAL (N. S. Parmar) shifted in and went across BALENO (S. A. Amit) causing the latter to be check and change course. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation Jockey N. S. Parmar has been fined Rs 2,000/-

 

After the race, the Sr. V.O. reported the following.

 

ABHYANKAR was examined and found to be sore by right fore. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.2 (182) – THE WESTERN INDIA RACE HORSE OWNERS' ASSOCIATION TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 6

 

In the final stages of the race, YOUREMANORBORNE (Prashant P. Dhebe) was observed to have drifted out under pressure. As such, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been cautioned and Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (CACCINI) reported that passing the 200 metres his reins slipped momentarily.  As such, no action has been initiated and Jockey A. Sandesh has been asked to be more careful in the future.

 

After the race, App. Aditya Waydande (BLACK THUNDER) reported that his goggles fell passing the 400 metres. He further reported loss of whip passing the 200 metres, this being his second instance during the current Mumbai meeting 2025-26, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-. 

 

After the race, the Sr. V.O. reported the following:

 

NOSTALGIA was observed to have broken a blood vessel (3rd time) and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of twelve weeks. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.3 (183) – THE BLUE PENCIL PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

After being stalled, G VALENTINO (Dashrath Singh, dr.7) was fractious. In view of this and a similar behavior of the filly in previous outing, Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

QUEEN CAROLINE (P. Trevor) was reluctant to reach the starting gates. As such, Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to school his charge to reach the starting gate on time.

 

At the start, QUEEN CAROLINE (P. Trevor, dr.5) jumped inwards and bumped LUCKY DIAMOND (Yash Narredu, dr.4) causing the latter to be steadied.

 

At the start, DREAMS COME TRUE (A. Sandesh, dr.1) jumped outwards onto TEMPEST (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.2) who further shifted out and carried UMEED (C. Umesh, dr.3) outwards at the same time QUEEN CAROLINE (P. Trevor, dr.5) jumped inwards and made contact with LUCKY DIAMOND (Yash Narredu, dr.4) due to the incident UMEED was inconvenienced and had to be checked.

 

At the start, G VALENTINO (Dashrath Singh, dr.7) jumped outwards thereby bumping and forcing ABSOLUTE EMPEROR (Mukesh Kumar, dr.8) outwards onto SPORTING ALICE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.9) thereafter G VALENTINO shifted in under urgings onto GO TONTO (S. A. Amit, dr.6) who in turn shifted in thereby bumping and unbalancing QUEEN CAROLINE (P. Trevor, dr.5), due to which UMEED (C. Umesh, dr.3) racing on its haunches had to be checked. After the race on questioning, Jockey Dashrath Singh stated that his mount was running green throughout the race, not being satisfied with the explanation, his Jockey’s licence has been suspended for two race days i.e. should he apply for a Jockey’s licence for the Racing Season 2026/27 and if the same is granted to him, his licence shall stand suspended on first two race days of Pune Meeting 2026 dates of which will be intimated to in due course (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

After the race, the Sr. V.O. reported the following:

 

ABSOLUTE EMPEROR, DREAMS COME TRUE, G VALENTINO & QUEEN CAROLINE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (184) – THE AMBER FLASH PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS – 7

 

On the way to the starting gates, ABSOLUTE MAJESTY (N. B. Kuldeep) reared up, dislodged its rider and got loose, subsequently the colt was apprehended at about 2000 metres and with the consent of the Trainer P. S. Chouhan, the Colt was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. As such, Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

In the process of stalling, AGE OF REASON (Neeraj Rawal, dr.4) was fractious, reared up and dislodged its rider, as Jockey Neeraj Rawal got injured and was not able to fulfill his riding engagement, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. As such, Trainer Imiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

SHAANDAAR (Vivek G., dr.7) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning staring trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, INCREDIBLE LUCK (Yash Narredu) shifted out and went across SOLANA (C. Umesh) causing the latter to be checked, thereafter INCREDIBLE LUCK further shifted out thereby bumping HERMANUS (App. Kirtish Bhagat) who made contact with CASPIAN (Mukesh Kumar) due to which HERMANUS racing between them was inconvenienced, had to check and drop back. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, the Jockey’s reported the following:

 

Yash Narredu (INCREDIBLE LUCK) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. The colt was subject to veterinary examination and found to be sound. As such, Trainer Rajesh Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

P. Trevor (GOLDEN EYE) reported that his mount was not galloping fluently. The filly was subject to veterinary examination and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (185) – THE CURSETJEE DHUNJISHAW SALVER: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

BIG RED (S. Mosin, dr.4) was reluctant to be stalled and also lost about four lengths at the start. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, RAMBLER (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.8) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Approaching the 300 metres, ARDAKAN (Vivek G.) shifted in and went across YOUR UNFORGETTABLE (P. Trevor).

 

BIG RED (S. Mosin) was observed to have trailed the field. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the race, the Jockey’s reported the following:

 

A. Sandesh (EARTH) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. The mare was subject to veterinary examination and found to be sound. As such, Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, the V.O. reported the following:

 

EARTH & ART COLLECTOR were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (186) – THE BUSY LIZZIE PLATE: (ABOUT) 1100 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

After being stalled, RAFAEL (A. Sandesh, dr.3) was fractious. In view of this and a similar behavior of the gelding in previous outing, Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

After being stalled, ESTEBAN (K. Nazil, dr.2) was fractious and reared up. In view of this and a similar behavior of the gelding in previous outing, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, RAFAEL (A. Sandesh, dr.3) jumped outwards at the same time KEY WEST (N. S. Parmar, dr.4) jumped inwards and they made contact.

 

Soon after start, EKLA CHOLO (Amyn Merchant) shifted in onto HOUSE OF LORDS (A. Prakash) who further shifted in thereby carrying ENSKY (C. Umesh) inwards, thereafter ENSKY shifted in thereby bumping, boring and unbalancing KEY WEST (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to check and change course thereby bumping and inconveniencing ESTEBAN (K. Nazil). After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, as such, Jockey’s licence of Mr. C. Umesh has been suspended for four race days i.e. should he apply for a Jockey’s licence for the Racing Season 2026/27 and if the same is granted to him, his licence shall stand suspended on first four race days of Pune Meeting 2026, dates of which will be intimated to in due course (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

ESTEBAN (K. Nazil) was observed to have trailed the field. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the race, the V.O. reported the following:

RACE NO.7 (187) – THE SECRET TREASURE PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 10

 

At the start, CHELSEA (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.5) jumped outwards at the same time CINDERELLA’S DREAM (Amyn Merchant, dr.6) jumped inwards and they made contact.

 

At the start, NEUTRALIST (P. Trevor, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with JOHNNY MAC (Neeraj Rawal, dr.2) causing the latter to be steadied.

 

In the final stages of the race, CHARLIE BROWN (Yash Narredu) was observed to have drifted out passing the 400 metres and finished the race on the wide outside. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

JOHNNY MAC (Neeraj Rawal) was observed to have trailed the field. As such, Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the race, the Jockey’s reported the following:

 

App. S. Siddharth (DENSETSU) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer James E. Mckeown has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

A. Prakash (MATISSE) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, the V.O. reported the following:

 

NEUTRALIST was trotted and found to be sound.

 

CHELSEA was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 7th race, viz. MARATHA ADMIRAL, YOUREMANORBORNE, DREAMS COME TRUE & NEUTRALIST and the special samples of INCREDIBLE LUCK (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.
