 RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 9 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer Karthik Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Nosher Cama to saddle his charges ANGELS TOUCH (1st race), STAR COMRADE (3rd race) and SOLO MISSION (5th race), at his (Trainer Karthik Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Zadmal Singh, permission was granted to Trainer Subhag Singh to saddle his charge CLASSICUS in the 3rd race, at his (Trainer Zadmal Singh’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(252) –THE MANYATTA PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8 

 

After being stalled, ANGELS TOUCH (Bhawani Singh) got restless, as such, the filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race.

 

At the start, CRISTO BOSS (Amyn Merchant, dr. 2) jumped outwards thereby inconveniencing ANGELS HARMONY (App. K. Nazil, dr. 3).

 

After the race, MONEYWISE was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Also, the gelding returned sore by the right hind leg. Being a second time bleeder, the gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, HUZZAH’S GRACE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ANGELS TOUCH, EBONY and ANGELS HARMONY were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(253) – THE J.ROBINSON PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11

 

GOLD MAGIC (Deep Shanker) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, FIRE FLAME (J. Chinoy) shifted in and went across DESTINED FOR GLORY (S. J. Sunil) who had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey J. Chinoy reported that his mount hung out throughout the race and as such he was unable to ride out in the straight. Further, he stated that in his effort to restrain his mount from going out, it shifted in and went across the field on his inside. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Approaching the 1000 metres, Jockey P. Trevor (GOLDEN HIND) shifted out on to EXCELLENT ELLA (Dashrath Singh) who in turn shifted out on to PONDAROSA (T. S. Jodha) forcing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey P. Trevor has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Passing the 150 metres, DAZZLING STAR (Bhawani Singh) shifted in thereby inconveniencing RETAINED ASSET (App. S. A. Amit). After questioning, Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

 

After the race, GOLDEN HIND, INTENSE STYLIST, EXCELLENT ELLA and FIRE FLAME were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(254) –THE BEHRAM A.ENGINEER CUP: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 7 

 

ELEGANT BEAUTY (S. Mosin) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, INCENTIO (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 4) jumped outwards and made contact with CLASSICUS (C. S. Jodha, dr. 5).

 

Passing the 1000 metres, CLASSICUS (C. S. Jodha) leaned outwards thereby inconveniencing INCENTIO (App. Raghuveer Singh) and TIMELESS DEEDS (App. K. Nazil).

 

After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (CLASSICUS) reported that his mount hung out despite his efforts as such he was unable to ride his mount to complete advantage in the straight. Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ELEGANT BEAUTY was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(255) –THE KAZAKH PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres–Runners - 10

 

ROYAL MEWS (App. G. Amit) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, ATOMIC (J. Chinoy, dr. 1) jumped outwards and made contact with BIDSTONE HILL (App. H. Zeeshan, dr. 2).

 

At the start, BARRINGO (Amyn Merchant, dr. 8) jumped inwards and went across ROYAL MEWS (App. G. Amit, dr. 7) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of ROYAL MEWS (App. G. Amit) in this race and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, ATOMIC was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, BARRINGO was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(256) –THE  BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12

 

SAFFRON FLOWER (D. S. Daman) jumped out throwing its head thus losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, TRANSFORM (App. H. Zeeshan, dr. 1) and ADVANCE TO CONTACT (App. K. Nazil, dr. 2) jumped outwards and inwards respectively and made contact.

 

At the start, DECCAN KING (App. Parbat Singh, dr. 3) was observed to have lost its footings and stumbled.

 

Soon after the start, STAR ANISE (App. G. Amit) racing between KOTOR (P. Trevor) and AQUARIUS (T. S. Jodha) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

 

Approaching the 300 metres, DIWALI LIGHTS (Bhawani Singh) shifted out and carried STAR ANISE (App. G. Amit) outwards. After the race Jockey Bhawani Singh reported that his mount hung-in in the straight and in his effort to maintain a straight course the horse shifted out. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of GANDALF (Amyn Merchant) in this race and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, KOTOR was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel and STAR ANISE had a gum injury. DIWALI LIGHTS was found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.6(257) –THE  BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11

 

MANZANITA was permitted to be withdrawn from this race.

 

TIME OF MY LIFE (App. D. R. Shubham) took a fly jump resulting in losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, HUZZAH’S PHOENIX (J. Chinoy, dr. 2) jumped inwards and made contact with LOVELY FAIRY (S. A. Amit, dr. 1).

 

Soon after the start, BAY OF LOVE (Bhawani Singh) shifted in and made contact with SKY SURFER (App. K. Nazil) who was steadied.

 

Approaching the 1100 metres, SYNCHRONICITY (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and bumped BEWITCHED (T. S. Jodha). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, LOVELY FAIRY (S. A. Amit) had to be checked and dropped back due to a tightly packed field.

 

Passing the 300 metres, OUTSTANDING (C. S. Jodha) racing between ISINIT (App. H. Zeeshan) and BEWITCHED (T. S. Jodha) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, App. H. Zeeshan (ISINIT) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race. In view of the same, Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, BOURBON LEGEND was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, BEWITCHED and ISINIT were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 4th and 5th race, viz. STAR BRIGHT, BENEFICIAL and TRANSFORM , and the special sample of HUZZAH’S GRACE (1st race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
