RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “ETERNAL DANCER” (DRAWN 15) IN RACE NO.58 - THE DHUN P KOTHAVALA TROPHY (1000 METRES) – RUN ON THURSDAY, 15th DECEMBER, 2016 :
The Stipendiary Stewards reported that although ETERNAL DANCER had received interference at the start and Jockey Kishore Kadam had reported after the race that the filly had stumbled after entering the straight, they still decided to take on record the views of Trainer Rehanullah Khan and Jockey Kishore Kadam, in this matter as it looked more like an awkward stride and not a stumble.
The video of the race was viewed in the presence of the Trainer and Jockey and Jockey Kishore Kadam was asked to elaborate on the above incident, to which he explained that he was knocked out badly at the start due to which he was unable to get into a handy position. Thereafter, approaching the 400 metres the filly had stumbled whereby he collected the filly and had not put pressure as he was worried for the wellbeing of the filly and himself. The Trainer concurred with the Jockey’s views.
Considering the Jockey’s apprehension about his and the filly’s wellbeing after the filly had taken an awkward stride in the straight and also keeping in mind the interference at the start, the enquiry was closed.

Having heard the submissions made and scrutinizing the Medical Log Book and the Requisition Book, Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed was fined a further sum of Rs.5,000/- for this lapse on his part.
