RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES AWAY FROM  ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 8 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 4 METRES AWAY AT 1100 METRES AND 8 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

RACE NO.1(22) – THE SIR JAMSETJEE JEEJEEBHOY (VI BART) CUP: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 6 

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (SNOW CRYSTAL) reported that his mount was running green.

 

RACE NO.2(23) – THE KAZAKH PLATE : (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 3

 

HELPING HAND (J.Chinoy) jumped out slowly losing about 6 lengths at the start. Tr.Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

THE UNICORN (N.S.Parmar) was observed to have hung out in the straight. Trainer P.Shroff  has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ZAZOU was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern. HELPING HAND was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(24)  – THE SIACHEN PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 8

 

At the start, UMARKOT (R.Vaibhav, dr.7) took an awkward jump and made contact with PLAN B (App.H.Zeeshan, dr.6).

 

IN THE LIMELIGHT (App.S.J.Sunil) was observed to have shifted out in last furlong. As Apprentice S.J.Sunil did not take corrective measure and persisted to use his whip on the right, he has been fined a sum of Rs.1,000/-.

 

Apprentice R.Ajinkya (STORMY PRINCESS) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey R.Vaibhav (UMARKOT) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. Further, he has been fined Rs.1,000/- for improper use of the whip wherein he used the whip down the shoulder in the fore hand position.

 

After the race, IN THE LIMELIGHT, SAINTS N SINNERS, PLAN B and PALACE GIRL were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(25) – THE A.C.ARDESHIR TROPHY (GR.3): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  4

 

REMEMBER ME (S.Zervan) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

 

RACE NO.5(26) – THE RED RUFUS DOUBLE STAKES: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 8

 

BON VIVANT (D.K.Ashish) was reluctant  to be stalled. Tr.P.Shroff has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 100 metres, FAST LADY (S. Zervan) shifted in on to BON VIVANT (D. K. Ashish) who was steadied.

 

After the race, BON VIVANT was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore cannon. ASAHI was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(27) – THE STYLE CRACKER MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 15

 

PIERCE ARROW (S.Zervan) played up in the stall. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified her fit to race. MULTINATIONAL (App.R.Ajinkya) planted and took no part in the race. Trainers C.D.Katrak and  Narendra Lagad have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 900 metres, SHIVALIK HEROINE (Suraj Narredu) shifted in causing DAYTONA (J.Chinoy) to check  and shift in on to PIERCE ARROW (S.Zervan,dr.1). On questioning, Jockey Suraj Narredu stated that his mount was leaning in.

 

Passing 800 metres, ALTUS (App.Parbat Singh), who was running keen, forced a passage between DAYTONA (J.Chinoy) and CHAMPAGNE (P.S.Chouhan), thereby causing the latter to check and shift out on to JUNE (Neeraj Rawal). Since Apprentice Parbat Singh did his level best to control his mount, no action has been initiated.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu (SHIVALIK HEROINE) was observed to have used  the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. However since the filly was hanging out and  the same was used as a corrective measure, no action has been initiated against the Jockey. Trainer M.Narredu has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race Jockey Colm O’Donoghue (HOLY SMOKE) reported that his mount was running a bit erratic and as such he has advised Trainer Faisal A.Abbas to change the bit.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that SHIVALIK HEROINE was examined at the stables in the morning on 30/11/2015 and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(28)– THE MUNICIPAL COMMISSIONER’S TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  11

 

LIMEKILNS (Neeraj Rawal) was brought into the paddock with a Tongue Strap. Since prior permission for the use of the equipment was not obtained, the Tongue Strap was removed before the filly left the paddock. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been fined a sum of Rs.1,000/-.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (MAGIC IN THE AIR) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures.

 

After the race, COLEY, COMMITMENT and AZADEGAN were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. SIOBHAN (1st race), THE UNICORN (2nd race), PALACE GIRL  (3rd race), SHIVALIK STORM (4th race), MYRTLEWOOD (5th race), HOLY SMOKE (6th race) and GESTAPO (7th race), as also that of  YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY & REMEMBER ME (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : RACE NO.15 – THE ALVARITA PLATE RUN ON 26TH NOVEMBER, 2015 :

 

EARTH QUAKE was declared to run with bandages on all four. However, the horse was observed to have run with bandages only on both fore. Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.
