RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE, 5 METRES AWAY FROM 1000 METRES UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM 2000 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY FROM 1200 METRES UP TO 1000 METRES.

HAD A FALL IN THE 3RD RACE

 

RACE NO.1(125) –  THE SENTOSA COVE PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – 6 Runners

 

After the race, SYLVESTER was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(126) – THE STAR FORTUNE PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 7 Runners

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that ALPINE EXPRESS was examined at the Saddling Enclosure and was found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, THE CIVILIAN (App. K. Nazil, dr.3) was marginally slow and shifted out onto UNTITLED (App.N.Nadeem) who was inclined inwards.

 

Passing 600 metres, PRICELESSGIRL (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in and went across SPEEDO (S. A. Amit) who had to be checked and drop back. App. A. S. Peter has been cautioned.

 

App. D. S. Daman (CHARGING TIGRESS) has been fined Rs.2,000/- for raising his hand as a victory sign before passing the winning post.

 

After the race, GLORIOUS LAND was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(127) – THE PERSONIFIED PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the 500 metres, GREY FLANNEL (S. J. Sunil) was observed to have stumbled on its own and went down along with its rider.  Due to the fall, SAFDAR (N. S. Parmar) who was racing on its haunches, collided with the fallen horse thereby dislodging its rider. Due to this incident , SENSEX (C.S.Jodha) was inconvenienced.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that GREY FLANNEL stumbled and fell at the 500 metres marker dislodging the rider. On examination it was found that the mare had broken her left shoulder.  The mare was euthanized on humane grounds after obtaining consent of the Trainer.

 

After the race, FURIOUS N’ FAST and MIGHTY WARRIOR (examined on 30/09/2018) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(128) –  THE RADIANT PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 14 Runners

 

RELENTLESS PURSUIT (C.S.Jodha) was reluctant to be stalled. RAIN DANCE (App.D.R.Sbubham) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainers Imtiaz A.Sait and Adhirajsingh Jodha have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

GENTILLESSE (App.K. Nazil) was brought into the paddock sporting the wrong saddle. In view of this, App. K. Nazil was made to weigh out again and the horse was re-saddled before leaving  the paddock. After questioning all concerned, Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been fined Rs.2,000/- for the lapse on his part.

 

Soon after the start, RELENTLESS PURSUIT (C. S. Jodha) shifted in and went across DRAGONMOSS (S. A. Amit) forcing the latter to be checked. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Approaching 300 metres, STRONG VALUES (Bhawani Singh) shifted out due to which DRAGONMOSS (S. A. Amit) had to be checked and DUSKY SIREN (App. A. S. Peter) was inconvenienced.

 

After the race, GENTILLESSE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(129) –  THE JAMSHED DALAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the request of App. K Nazil, his mount HOUSE OF COMMONS was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. on arrival at the start and was certified fit to race.

 

Also, EXCELLENT GOLD (A.Sandesh) was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

Passing 150 metres, Jockey Bhawani Singh (GALLANT KNIGHT) shifted out under urgings and bumped HOUSE OF COMMONS (App. K. Nazil) who was inconvenienced. Jockey Bhawani Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

The Stipendiary stewards are looking into the running of this race and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, EXCELLENT GOLD and GAZINO were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(130) – THE SUPREME STAR PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 11 Runners

 

AURELIA (P.Trevor) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, RAISE A GRAND was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. ANATEVKA was found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.7(131) – THE PERSONIFIED PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

ROYAL MEWS (App.K.Nazil) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Approaching 400 metres SCION (Prashant P.Dhebe) shifted out under urgings due to which RARE SILVER (C.S.Jodha) clipped the heels of the former and stumbled, as a result Jockey C.S.Jodha was unbalanced and had to steady his mount. Jockey Prashant P.Dhebe has been fined Rs.5000/-.

 

In the final stages of the race, Jockey Shahrukh Khan (ETERNAL DANCER) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening BIDSTONE HILL (App. A. S. Peter) along the rails, due to which BIDSTONE HILL lost his footing and stumbled thereby dislodging its rider.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into this incident and submit a report shortly.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that after sampling, SCION was trotted and found to be sore by the right  hind leg. Also, the gelding had a tendon injury on the right hind leg.  The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ETERNAL DANCER was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th race, viz. DAZZLE N DAZE, GLORIANA, QUESTIONABLE and WILD FIRE, and the special sample of LOCARNO (2nd race) and GAZINO & EXCELLENT GOLD (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT :

 

RE : SUSPENSION OF JOCKEY A.IMRAN KHAN’S LICENSE FOR TWO RACE DAYS I.E. FROM 13TH OCTOBER, 2018 TO 14TH OCTOBER, 2018  FOR USING THE WHIP IN EXCESS OF THE PRESCRIBED LIMIT ON HIS MOUNT “GRAND CHIEFTAIN” IN RACE NO.118 – THE D.D.PILLAI TROPHY (DIV.II)– RUN ON 23RD SEPTEMBER, 2018  (THIRD OFFENCE) :

 

Vide his letter dated 28th September, 2018 Jockey A.Imran Khan informed this office that he did not wish to appeal against the above decision and requested to advance his suspension date.

 

In view of the above, his Jockey’s license now stands suspended w.e.f. 5th October, 2018 to 6th October, 2018 (both days inclusive) for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount GRAND CHIEFTAIN in Race No.118.
