PUNE MEETING 2022, SECOND DAY, FRIDAY, 29TH JULY, 2022.

RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 1800 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 2METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 6 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES, 7 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES WIDE UPTO WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Aravind G., permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge QUEEN REGNANT in the 2nd race, at his own (Trainer Aravind G.’s) risk and responsibility.
RACE NO.1(8) – THE ALLEY CAT PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10
App. P. S. Kaviraj was declared to ride on two horses viz. CAMPAIGN and RECIPROCITY by Trainers Imtiaz A Sait and H J Antia. After enquiring with all concerned Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
After being stalled, TANHAIYAAN (App. A. Prakash, dr.10) played up and casted himself in an awkward position. As such, the gelding was unloaded and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. In view of above, Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, RECIPROCITY (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.2) jumped outwards and brushed the haunches of RHYTHM OF NATURE (P. Trevor, dr.3).
Soon after the, LION KING (K. Nazil) shifted in and made contact with PEPPER (App. Haridas Gore). As such, Jockey K. Nazil has been fined Rs. 2,000/-
Passing the 350 Metres, App. Haridas Gore (PEPPER) who was unbalanced momentarily.
After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (RUBIK STAR) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
It was observed that Jockey R. Shelar (SLAM DUNK) had dropped its hands passing the 200 metres. Subsequently on questioning he stated that his mount had wobbled and was not comfortable as such he had stopped riding. The gelding was subjected to veterinary examination and was found sound. Jockey R. Shelar was severely reprimanded for failing to report after the race
After the race, TANHAIYAAN was observed to have injury on left hip.
RACE NO.2(9) – THE JAMSHED DALAL TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 7
QUEEN REGNANT (Bhawani Singh, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.
At the start, JERUSALEM (Yash Narredu, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with ROYAL ALAMDAAR (Dashrath Singh, dr.2).
At the start, HERRING (Santosh G., dr.4) jumped inwards and had to be steadied.
It was observed that Jockey Bhawani Singh (QUEEN REGNANT) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being the first offence during the current Pune Meeting as such he has been fined Rs.3,000/-
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (JERUSALEM) reported that his mount was running green in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (ROYAL ALAMDAAR) reported that his mount had weakened and lugged-in in the straight.
After the race, SKY STORM was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(10) – THE SEASON OPENER PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been fined Rs.1,000/- for accepting with his charge LOVE WARRIOR in this race whilst the filly was on Veterinary Ban. The filly was struck out at the Acceptance stage.
After being stalled, EYES ON THE PRIZE (Bhawani Singh) ducked the front gates and came out as such the filly was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
CANDESCENT STAR (App. P. Vinod, dr.3) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
It was observed that POWER OF BLESSINGS (N. Nadeem) did not raise an effective gallop after the start. Trainer Sangramsinh Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, THE PIANIST (R. Ajinkya) shifted in thereby tightening the field on its inside due to which LETO (N. S. Parmar) and MY TREASURE (Yash Narredu) had to be checked. As such Jockey R Ajinkya has been fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in before the red marker.
Passing the 100 metres, Jockey A. Sandesh (DALI SWIRL) shifted out thereby taking the ground and causing LETO (N. S. Parmar) to be checked. After questioning Jockey A. Sandesh and not being satisfied with his explanation his Jockey’s licence has been suspended for one day i.e. 21st August 2022, for careless riding.
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (MY TREASURE) reported that his mount was running green in the straight. Trainer M Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, MY TREASURE was found to be in distress in the paddock, the filly was treated immediately and recovered and sent back to the stables.
After the race, DALI SWIRL was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(11) – THE DR. S. R. CAPTAIN TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 8
At the start, PETRONIA (P. Trevor, dr.2) jumped inwards and made contact with RAMBLER (S. Zervan, dr.1).
At the start, BIRKIN BLOWER (K. Nazil, dr.5) jumped inwards and at the same time THE PROTECTOR (App. A. Prakash, dr.4) jumped outwards and they made contact.
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (KINNARA) reported that his mount was trying to run out throughout the race despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, KINNARA was examined in stables was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(12) – THE HAWKE BAY PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (QUEEN O’ WAR) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
In the final stages of the race, AHEAD OF MY TIME (A. Sandesh) leaned onto ARC DE TRIOMPHE (P. Trevor) who had to be steadied. After the race Jockey A Sandesh reported that his mount lugged in despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measure, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey K. Nazil (MAJORELLA BLUE) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight despite his efforts. As such Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, INTENSE APPROACH was trotted and found to be sound and DIVINE HUNT was observed to have injury on right gaskin.
RACE NO.6(13) – THE CLASSIC TALK PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 13
At the request of Trainer M. Narredu, PHANTA was examined at the stable area at 10.50 a.m. on 28/07/2022 and found to be lame by left fore leg. Hence the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
At the request of Trainer Altaf Hussain, QUEENS PRIDE was examined at the stable area at 10.00 a.m. on 29/07/2022 and was observed swelling on left hind fetlock and found to be lame. Hence the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
At the start, OUTLANDER (App. Haridas Gore, dr.4) took a fly jump outwards at the same time ESPERANZA (S. Zervan, dr.5) jumped inwards and made contact.
At the start, LIGHTNING BLAZE (Akash Agarwal, dr.6) outwards and brushes the haunches of MERIDIA (R. Ajinkya, dr.7).
At the start, PRINCE IGOR (Shrikant Kamble, dr.13) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths and thereafter veered inwards and collided with the inner rails. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, MOJO (Bhawani Singh) shifted in and went across HIGH SPIRIT (Dashrath Singh) who was marginally slow to begin and had to be steadied. Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.
Passing the 250 metres, OUTLANDER (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in and went across MUFAZA (N. S. Parmar) who had to be checked. As such, App Jockey. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
In the final stages of the race it was observed that Jockey Bhawani Singh (MOJO) had used the whip in an improper manner. As such he has been fined Rs. 2000/-.
After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (MIRAE) reported that his mount was running green.
After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (MOJO) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, LIGHTNING BLAZE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(14) – THE ISMAIL KHAN PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 13
In view of the incessant rain, the Stewards of the Club had decided to cancel this race.

The urine samples of the winner of the 5th & 6th race, viz. AHEAD OF MY TIME & ESPERANZA, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
