RACE NO.1(61) – THE RUFFINA TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 13

FENDI (S. Zervan, dr.1) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

MASCARA (App. P. Vinod, dr.12) took a fly jump.

At the start, SHADOWS (S. A. Amit, dr.5) jumped outwards onto DAWNSTAR (M. Ayyar, dr.6).

At the start, ARABIAN MUKTAR (H. Zeeshan, dr.7) jumped outwards and went across PRINCIPESSA (N. Nadeem, dr.8) who was marginally slow to begin.

Soon after the start, HELLBENT (N. S. Parmar) shifted in on to JUBILANT JOURNEY (A. Sandesh) at the same time BOLD ADVANCE (Dashrath Singh) shifted out due to which JUBILANT JOURNEY (A. Sandesh) had to be steadied.

Soon after the start, REGAL PRINCE (Bhawani Singh) shifted in thereby bumping and tightening MASCARA (App. P. Vinod). Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

Approaching the 300 metres, FENDI (S. Zervan) leaned inwards thereby tightening SUITED ACES (R. Shelar) who had to be checked.

Passing the 200 metres, REGAL PRINCE (Bhawani Singh) shifted in at the same time PRINCIPESSA (N. Nadeem) shifted out and they made contact.

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of JUBILANT JOURNEY (A. Sandesh) and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race, BOLD ADVANCE was observed to have a cut injury on right hind pastern.

After the race, PRINCIPESSA was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.2(62) – THE PIONEER PLATE: (ABOUT) 1800 METRES – RUNNERS - 5

After the race, MAGISTERO was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.3(63) – THE JEREMIAH PLATE - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

On the arrival at the start, it was observed that Jockey M. Ayyar rider of DILBAR was sporting a wrong color the same was changed to “All Black”.

PERFECT PERFECTO (App. A. Prakash, dr.5) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the rig to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

VIVA LA VIDA (App. Aniket Karande, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about 3 lengths at the start.

At the start, PERIWINKLE (App. P. Vinod, dr.7) jumped outwards on to RISING BRAVE (Shahrukh Khan, dr.8) who had to be steadied thereafter PERIWINKLE shifted in and bumped NORTHERN SINGER (H. Zeeshan, dr.6). App. P. Vinod has been cautioned.

After the race, App. Jockey Aniket Karande reported that his mount VIVA LA VIDA was running green and thereafter the gelding ran detached from the field. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, SANDALPHON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, NORTHERN SINGER was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, KAHLUA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.5(65) – THE CONRAD PUNE CUP: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

It was observed that approaching the 1000 metres, the reins of Jockey Yash Narredu rider of POKERFACE had broken and as such could not ride his horse out. After the race, on inspecting the equipment it was found to be in serviceable condition. However, Yash Narredu has been asked to be more cautious with his riding gear.

RACE NO.6(66) – THE F. D. WADIA TROPHY (GRADE 3): (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

RAFFAELLO (Yash Narredu, dr.4) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

DRAGONESS (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) whipped around and dislodged its rider after the start. As such, Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.7(67) – THE RUFFINA TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

At the start, CAPRIFLA (Yash Narredu, dr.4) jumped inwards and went across PATRIOTS DAY (N. Nadeem, dr.3) who was marginally slow to begin and made contact with HILAD (Shahrukh Khan, dr.2).

REPUBLICA (M. Ayyar) ran detached from the field. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, INDIAN CROWN was trotted and found to be sound

RACE NO.8(68) – THE PUNE DERBY (GRADE 1): (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

Passing the 1700 metres, RASPUTIN (A. Imran Khan) veered out and carried A STAR IS BORN (David Egan) outwards. On questioning, Jockey A. Imran Khan stated that his mount was inclined outwards and had to be steadied.

Approaching the 200 metres, ALASTAIR (Akshay Kumar) shifted out and went onto SUNRISE (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey Akshay Kumar has been cautioned.

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha reported that his mount ZARAK hung out in the straight. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported his mount SUNRISE hung out in the straight. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, ZARAK was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.9(69) – THE AQUILO PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

At the request of Trainer H. J. Antia, LEVITATE was examined in the stables at 10.45 a.m. on 26/11/2021 and was found to have painful swelling on her right fore suspensory, as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

SHES THE QUEEN (App. P. Vinod, dr.5) reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

MYSTICAL ROSE (Yash Narredu) shifted in before red marker thereby tightening COMMANDMENT (T. S. Jodha) and forcing it inwards thereby bumping ARABIAN PHOENIX (S. Zervan) who in turn shifted in onto SHES THE QUEEN (App. P. Vinod). After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

Passing the 300 metres, COMMANDMENT (T. S. Jodha) racing on the haunches of LORD BYRON (P. S. Chouhan) was held up for room and had to be steadied.

In the final stages of the race, AIRA (Bhawani Singh) shifted in and bumped ARABIAN PHOENIX (S. Zervan) thereafter MYSTICAL ROSE (Yash Narredu) was inclined outwards despite the rider’s efforts as a result carrying COMMANDMENT (T. S. Jodha) outwards who in turn shifted out and went across ARABIAN PHOENIX. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.10(70) – THE JEREMIAH PLATE - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

Passing the 1000 metres, due to a tightly packed field TORMENTA STORM (M. Ayyar) was observed to have overreached and clipped CARLOS (H. Zeeshan) and thereafter stumbled dislodging its rider subsequently the riderless TORMENTA STORM ran outwards thereby inconveniencing TEISPES (S. A. Amit).

Passing the 300 metres, MONARCHY (P. S. Chouhan) shifted out and carried UNTITLED (R. Shelar) outwards. Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.

After the race, UNTITLED was observed to have a cut injury on right hind bulb of heel and CARLOS was observed to have a clip injury on left hock.

The urine samples of the BOLD ADVANCE (winner 1^st race), ARCADIA (winner 2^nd race), IRON AGE (winner 4^th race), ST. ANDREWS (2^nd place 4^th race), RED MERLOT (winner 5^th race), PETRONIA (winner 6^th race), BABY BAZOOKA (2^nd place 6^th race), and the special sample of NORTHERN SINGER (3^rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

The urine & blood samples of the ZUCCARELLI, (winner 8^th race), A STAR IS BORN (2^nd place 8^th race), REGAL COMMAND (3^rd place 8^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:

RACE NO.7(42) – THE THANDA PLATE - DIVISION I: RUN ON 13^TH NOVEMBER 2021.

Approaching the 300 metres, MY TREASURE (Yash Narredu) shifted in under urgings thereby bumping and boring COMMANDANT (T. S. Jodha) and ENJOY (Neeraj Rawal) as a result of which COMMANDMENT had to be checked and ENJOY brushed the railing and lost balance due to which Jockey Neeraj Rawal was forced to stop riding. After questioning and keeping in mind that the filly had returned in distress, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

ERRATUM

Tr. Subhag Singh was erroneously fined Rs.1,000/- for shoeing error on his charge “ANGELS TRUMPET” in race no.56 – The Party Whip Plate - run on 21^st December 2021. After due enquiry the same has been rescinded.
