On a request from Trainer S.Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Karthik G. to saddle his charge GOLDEN PRINCESS in the 7th race, at his (Trainer S.Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(365)  – THE GOODBYE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 9  

 

ALLEGIANCE (D.K.Ashish) was reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the registered Racing Colours at the Scales in respect of his charge NANINA. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.  

 

Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.1,000/- for brining his charge WINDS OF LUCK into the Paddock without a Tongue Strap, the permission for the use of which was obtained. The gelding ran with a Tongue Strap.

 

Near 700 metres, ALLEGIANCE (D.K.Ashish) stumbled possibly having clipped the heels of STARSONBOARD (App.Sandeep Jadhav).

 

After the race, STARSONBOARD, ANCIENT ODYESSY and VICTORIOUS CAUSE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(366)  – THE  GOODBYE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 8

 

At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, LUCKY RED was examined at 1000 hours on 27/04/2013 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

After the race, DREAMLINER, PALACE GIRL, AL ZAMARUD, TOPTRICK and TO THE MOON were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(367) – THE JOCKEYS TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 11

 

BLUE CASPER (P.Trevor, dr.3) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to SONG OF PRAISE (A.Ashhad Asbar, dr.2).

 

Jockey N.S.Parmar (RUN LIKE THE WIND) reported the loss of whip at about 50 metres before the Winning Post. This being the second instance of loss of whip, he has been fined Rs.1,000/-. 

 

Jockey S.Zervan (AMORA) when questioned, stated that his Instructions were to be in 4th or 5th position, however, his mount could not keep pace with the other runners and performed poorly, possibly due to the hot weather. The explanation was noted.

 

After the race, FAIRY EMPRESS was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern and HOT AS ICE had a cut injury at the right hind pastern. WIND AND RAIN, SONG OF PRAISE, PRINCE ARIUS and AMORA were found to be sound. 

 

RACE NO.4(368) –THE  JOCKEYS TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11

 

On arrival at the start, GATRAVAT (A.Ashhad Asbar) was examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

ROCKING (Hanumant Singh) reared up as the start was given, resulting in the gelding jumping out riderless. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing 300 metres, STAR BUILDER (S.Zervan) shifted in and hampered the running of CASINO JACK (N.S.Parmar). Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned.

 

After the race, STRIKE AGAIN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TUSCANIA was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the filly is not to race for the stipulated period of eight weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FIRE GODDESS, KRYPTON, STAR BUILDER and TUSCANIA were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(369) – THE  RACING OFFICIALS TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 12

 

At the request of Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed, BELLE BRISE was examined at 1100 hours on 26/04/2013  and was found to have painful swelling at the left fore tendon and was sore by the left fore leg. As such, BELLE BRISE was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

SAIFEENA (Deep Shanker) planted and was assisted out of the gate. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

MATRIOSHKA (A.Sandesh) was slow in the stride, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, DOUBLE DIAMOND (App.Nikhil Bhujbal, dr.8) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to STAR PRINCE (Hanumant Singh, dr.7).

 

Approaching 1000 metres, FOLLOW ME (Kavraj Singh) was inconvenienced and steadied as MY DIVA (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted inwards. Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar has been cautioned. 

 

After the race, MY DIVA was found to be sore by the right hind leg and also had a cut injury at the right hind cannon. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MOUNTAIN QUEEN was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(370) – THE  EUPHEMIA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 15

 

At the request of Trainer M.Narredu, KING OF HEARTS was examined at 0940 hours on 28/04/2013  and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race. 

 

CHAMPAKALI (J.E.Pereira) hung out in the straight. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ARAVALI) reported that his mount lugged out in the straight. BORN FOR GLORY (T.S.Jodha) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Nina M.Lalvani and S.S.Shah have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, CHAMPAKALI was found to be sound, but having its left side upper tooth broken and also had a gum injury. ARAVALI was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(371) – THE  BENNETT, COLEMAN – PROCAM MILLION: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 8

 

At start, REKINDLE (B.Sreekanth) stumbled on its own.

 

THE MINISTERIAN (Neeraj Rawal) ran erratic in the straight.

 

GOLDEN PRINCESS (P.Trevor) was placed fifth and BOMBARDIER (D.K.Ashish) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(372) – THE  EUPHEMIA PLATE (DIV.II):  (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 16

 

SANTA BARBARA (App.S.Mosin) was slow in the stride, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (GITANO)   has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. 

 

After the race, COSMIC DANCER was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore bulb of heel. GITANO and ADAMS SPIRIT were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9(373) – THE  CHIEF MINISTER’S GOLD CUP:  (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 7

 

JIMBO (S.Zervan) and AUGUSTUS (P.Trevor) lost 3 lengths each, at the start.  Since JIMBO had behaved in a similar manner in its previous run, Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, JIMBO was observed to have an abrasion at the left fore arm. HOME ALONE was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th race viz. VICTORIOUS CAUSE, FAIRY EMPRESS, AWESOME SMILE, MINT APPROACH and NATIONAL GLORY, as also that of ARCHIE and ALAINDAIR (7th race), and the special sample of AMORA (3rd race) and STAR BUILDER & TUSCANIA (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

JIMBO – Mock Race (Stipendiary Stewards)

 

RE : INCIDENT THAT TOOK PLACE AFTER THE RUNNING OF RACE NO.210 – THE ICE MAGIC PLATE (DIV.I) RUN ON 17TH FEBRUARY, 2013 :

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 21st April, 2013 interviewed Mr.Ashok Rupani for inciting the racing punters to accompany him and storm the Weighing Room after the race, thus creating a riotous situation which is not healthy for racing. Mr.Ashok Rupani admitted his guilt and agreed to give a written undertaking that he would never repeat this behavior again. He pleaded that this was his first offence and requested the Stewards to take a lenient view.

 

The Stewards having considered the matter and keeping in mind that Mr.Ashok Rupani had admitted his guilt and apologized for the same and also agreed to give an undertaking that he would never repeat this behavior, the Stewards took a lenient view and accordingly decided ;-

 

a)    To suspend his ownership and to exclude him from the premises of the racecourse, Mumbai/Pune and all other places wherever the Rules of Racing of this Club are in force, w.e.f. 18th July, 2013 to 31st August, 2013;

b)    To impose on him a suspended sentence, i.e. if he was again found guilty of a similar offence in the next five years starting from 1st September, 2013, he would be warned off the race course for life time.
