RAILS WERE PLACED 8 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 10  METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 12 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.

RACE NO.1(92)  – THE  PREMIER CLASSE PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11

 

At the start, SWEATY BETTY (Shrikant Kamble) drifted outwards for a few strides.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (BLUSH) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift outwards under the use of the whip in the final 200 metres.

 

The explanation of Jockey Dashrath Singh (BLUSH) that he had pulled out his mount soon on straightening to give his mount a free run and also since he felt that the mare was not moving well on the inside, was noted.

 

After the race, SECRET MAGIC, OCEAN OF FAITH and STAR GLORY (examined on 28/12/2012) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(93) – THE STAR PRINCESS PLATE: (About)  1000 Metres – Runners - 9

 

At the start, CONZTANZA (M.A.Roushan) jumped awkwardly outwards.

 

Approaching 800 metres, SPRINGBANK (Neeraj Rawal) was hampered for a run as the filly shied away due to the presence of MABLE (Suraj Narredu) on its outside who was ridden out to gain position.

 

Trainer Narendra Lagad lodged a verbal complaint regarding the riding of his charge NEPTUNE by Jockey Akash Agarwal in the early part of the race. When questioned, the Jockey stated that the gelding did not hold the bit in the early part of the race and therefore he was unable to follow the Instructions which were to be in 3rd or 4th position. The  Sr. VO was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that no abnormality was detected. The explanation of the Jockey was noted.

 

ENDLESS HORIZON (A.Sandesh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, PHOSPHOR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MABLE, NEPTUNE, PURPLE MOKARA and CONZTANZA were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(94) – THE ALVARITA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 10

 

At the start, WOVEN DREAMS (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and made contact with BUNGA BUNGA (Neeraj Rawal) who went on to QUEEN OF VENUS (S.S.Baria). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

At the start, ICE GATE (R.Shelar) jumped out awkwardly.

 

After the race, MOUNTAIN PRINCE CAPRI and ICE GATE were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The above said horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, PRINCESS KHATOUM was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel. ORIENTAL MASTI was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(95) – THE  A.CAMPBELL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 7

 

At the start, SUGAR LOAF (Dashrath Singh, dr.4) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to WINTER WIND (App.Sandeep Jadhav, dr.5). Shortly afterwards, SUGAR LOAF shifted inwards and at the same time RULE FOREVER (Amyn Merchant, dr.3) shifted out, due to which SUGAR LOAF was forced to shift out and in turn hampered the running of WINTER WIND.  

 

Near 500 metres, JIMBO (D.K.Ashish) was checked due to lack of room.

 

Near 100 metres, JIMBO (D.K.Ashish) was ridden in check for a few strides due to lack of room.

 

After the race, WINTER WIND was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon.

 

RACE NO.5(96) – THE WILLOW HERB PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 9

 

Soon after the start, QUERIDA (Akash Agarwal) hung inwards. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that QUERIDA was found to be sound, but having wolf tooth on the right side. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey D.K.Ashish (PANTHERA) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

SILSILA (C.S.Jodha) lugged-in in the final 200 metres. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey C.S.Jodha (SILSILA) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift out in the final stages of the race. 

 

RACE NO.6(97) – THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres  – Runners - 10

 

CHECK HER OUT (Dashrath Singh) lugged out while negotiating the bend and carried TITELIST (I.Pasha) and SILVER SOUL (Neeraj Rawal) outwards. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

In the final stages of the race, STARLIGHT MAGIC (Suraj Narredu) shifted in and inconvenienced SO TRUE (Shrikant Kamble). Jockey Suraj Narredu has been cautioned.   

 

After the race, FORTUNER was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MARINE ZONE and FOXTROT were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(98) – THE ALVARITA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10

 

OCTOPAUL (C.Rajendra) lost 2 lengths at the start.

 

DISTANT PROMISE (Malcolm Kharadi) and OCTOPAUL (C.Rajendra) did not get a clear run in the straight.

 

Approaching 200 metres, POUND FOOLISH (A.Sandesh) was hampered for a run as MIRACLE OF MERCY (C.S.Jodha) shifted inwards. Jockey C.S.Jodha has been cautioned.

 

After the race, WIND CRAFT and DIAMONDZIP (examined on 28/12/2012) were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of  2nd and 6th race, viz. MABLE and ALBUURZ, and the special sample of PHOSPHOR (2nd race), MOUNTAIN PRINCE, CAPRI and ICE GATE (3rd race) and FORTUNER (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
