RACE NO.1(251) – THE  DEMOCRATICUS PLATE : (About) 2400 Metres – 4 Runners

 

After the race, WOVEN DREAMS was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, WORD OF HONOUR was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(252) – THE  KEJRIWAL TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer B.Prakash, CAPRI was examined at 0945 hours on 27/10/2013 and found to be sore by the right hind leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

CELSIUS (App.S.Mosin) was reluctant to be stalled. EMPEROR OF FRANCE (S.Sunil) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainers Faisal A.Abbas and Dallas Todywalla have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

 

At the start, ACE ANGELFIRE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3) shifted in and went on to INTESAR (P.Trevor, dr.2) and in the process Jockey P.Trevor lost proper hold on his right stirrup iron which he was able to regain passing 800 meters. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Soon after the start, NATIONAL PRIDE (C.S.Jodha, dr.7) shifted in and went across EMPEROR OF FRANCE (S.Sunil, dr.6), who in turn went on to SAMAY BALWAN (Shrikant Kamble, dr.5) who was awkwardly placed behind the heels of CROWNED PRINCESS (App.B Nikhil, dr.4) and steadied. Jockey C.S.Jodha has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Approaching 800 meters INTESAR (P.Trevor) shifted out and went across to SAMAY BALWAN (Shrikant Kamble). Since Jockey P.Trevor had lost the proper hold on his right stirrup iron, no action has been initiated in the matter.

 

Near 600 meters INTESAR (P.Trevor) shifted in and caused interference to NATIONAL PRIDE (C.S.Jodha). Jockey P.Trevor (INTESAR) has been fined Rs 3,000/-.

 

Passing 200 meters INTESAR (P.Trevor) shifted in under the use of whip and carried BOURBON STREET (Dashrath Singh) inward, who made contact with CELSIUS (App.S.Mosin) who became unbalanced and shifted out whereby BOURBON STREET (Dashrath Singh) was again inconvenienced. Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs 3,000/-.

 

After the race, BOURBON STREET was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind coronet and ACE ANGELFIRE had a cut injury at the left fore cannon. INTESAR was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(253) – THE  ASSESSED PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – 7 Runners

                                      

On a request, Trainer Jayantilal K Gor was permitted to withdraw his charge PLAYER in view of the gelding having been tested positive.

 

After the race, ASAHI and PHELPS (examined on 28/10/2013) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(254) – THE DELHI RACE CLUB TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – 7 Runners – NO REPORT

 

RACE NO.5(255)  – THE  MOUNT ROSE PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – 7 Runners

 

HIGHLANDER (N.S.Parmar) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

 

After the race, HIGHLANDER was observed to have lost its right fore plate. HEAVENS KEY was examined on 28/10/2013 and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(256) – THE  PUNE CANTONMENT BOARD TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, GRAN AMIGO was examined at 1000 hours on 27/10/2013 and found to be sore by the right hind leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

ZAAGROS (I.Pasha) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, ZAAGROS and ARCH DUCHESS were found to be sound. ZAAGROS had an abrasion at the left hind pastern and FIREWORKS had a cut injury at the right hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.7(257) – THE  CONNOLLY’S RED MILLS MILLION: (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

BE SAFE (B.Sreekanth) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

 

After the race, STRIKING STORY was observed to have a gum injury.

 

YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY (J.Chinoy) was placed fifth and SOLOMON (P.Trevor) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(258) – THE  KEJRIWAL TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards’ Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, near 200 metres, CAPITANO (Bhanu Pratap Singh) shifted out and carried COLOURFUL PRINCE (P.Trevor) outward, who in turn caused interference to YELLOWZONE (P.Kamlesh) and forced him outward and at the same time AUTUMN RUSH (C.S.Jodha) shifted in due to which YELLOWZONE clipped the heels of AUTUMN RUSH, stumbled and fell, dislodging its Rider.

 

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to maintain the order of placing as declared by the Judge.

 

The Stewards after the last race, interviewed Jockey Bhanu Pratap Singh (CAPITANO) and having heard him and having viewed the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and held him guilty of improper and dangerous riding.  The Stewards noted that throughout the race CAPITANO (Bhanu Pratap Singh) had been coming on to the favourite, YELLOWZONE (P.Kamlesh) and took him wide, first, near 600 metres and thereafter again near 400 metres. Thereafter, when Jockey P.Kamlesh (YELLOWZONE) made his move near 200 metres between COLOURFUL PRINCE and AUTUMN RUSH, he shifted out on to COLOURFUL PRINCE (P.Trevor) who in turn caused YELLOWZONE, to shift out, who clipped the hind heels of AUTUMN RUSH (C.S.Jodha), stumbled and fell, and Jockey Bhanu Pratap Singh made no apparent effort to correct his horse. Therefore, the Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 12th November, 2013 to 7th January, 2014 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

The Stewards also interviewed Jockey C.S.Jodha (AUTUMN RUSH) and having heard him and having viewed the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and decided to suspend his Jockey’s License for 21st November 2013 for Careless Riding on his mount.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (AINRA) has been fined Rs.5,000/- for dropping his hands before passing the winning post, thereby losing Third Place..

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that SHABDEEZ was pulled up by the Jockey 100 metres before the winning post. On examination, the mare was found to be sore by the right fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the mare was sent to the Equine Hospital by Horse Ambulance, for further management. Subsequently, the Equine Hospital reported that the mare had sustained fracture of the right scapula. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AINRA, YELLOWZONE and COLOURFUL PRINCE were found to be sound.  YELLOWZONE had an abrasion between the nostrils on the fore head and bruise on both knees and both hocks. ALBUURZ had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.9(259) – THE  PUNE BOOKMAKERS’ ASSOCIATION TROPHY: About) 1200 Metres – 22 Runners

 

MINSTREL SON (Vijay R.Kadam) was slow in the stride, losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

Jockeys Dashrath Singh (TROPICAL ZONE, dr.16) and Shrikant Kamble (DOUBLE DIAMOND, dr.17) have been fined Rs 2,000/- each, for shifting in before the Red Marker and in the process going across the field on the inside.

 

Approaching 200 meters, DOUBLE DIAMOND (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in and caused interference to TROPICAL ZONE (Dashrath Singh). Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been fined Rs 2,000/-.

 

After the race, SPEED BABY was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon. MIDNIGHT LADY, DOUBLE DIAMOND, WINDS OF CHANGE and VALOROZKY (examined on 28/10/2013) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.10(260)  – THE  CAPRIOLE PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 10 Runners

 

JEWELS OF THE HILL (J.Chinoy) was slowly out losing about 6 lengths at the start. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing 400 meters BELMONT (Dashrath Singh) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process forced SHERLOCK HOLMES (J.Pradeep) to travel wide. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

 

Approaching 200 meters NEW WORLD (S.Sunil) shifted out and caused STILETTO (A.Sandesh) to travel wide. Jockey S.Sunil has been cautioned.

 

After the race, JEWELS OF THE HILL, ARCHIE, SHERLOCK HOLMES and NEW WORLD (examined on 28/10/2013), were found to be sound. SHERLOCK HOLMES had a gum injury.

The post race urine sample of the winner of  the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th race, viz. YODHA SHAKTI, ACE ANGELFIRE, HIGHLANDER, QUICK FIRE, BE SAFE and ARCHIE, as also that of  RAVELLO & AL SHAMSHEER (7th race) and the special sample of WOVEN DREAMS (1st race) and PLAYER (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
