RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE UP TO 1000 METRES, 4.5 METRES AWAY UP TO 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT AFTER THE WINNING POST UP TO 2000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(71) – THE DR.K.VASUDEVAN TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners
FURIOUS N’ FAST jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.
FLASHING HONOUR (Dashrath Singh) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, STAR OF HARMONY (Yash Narredu, dr. 4) jumped outwards on to FURIOUS N’ FAST (A. Imran Khan, dr. 5).
After the race, COMIC TIMING was observed to have an abrasion at the right fore bulb of heel.
RACE NO.2(72) – THE WAR COMMAND PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – 7 Runners
At the start, Jockey H. Zeeshan (ART O WAR, dr. 4) was observed to have lost his balance and regained the same later.
Approaching the 400 metres, OTHELLO (N. S. Parmar) shifted out on to RITZ (J. Chinoy) who in turn shifted out and carried ASPEN (Bhawani Singh) outwards. After the race, on questioning, Jockey N. S. Parmar stated that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (STAR SCHOLAR) reported loss of whip passing the 700 metres.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (KOAL) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, OTHELLO, RESPECT, KOAL and ART O WAR were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(73) – THE SEA RULER PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 6 Runners
At the start, CHARGING TIGRESS (S. A. Amit, dr. 2) jumped outwards, at the same time SKY MINE (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr. 4) jumped inwards and went across GOVERNOR GENERAL (A. Sandesh, dr. 3) who was slow to begin.
At the start, ALLORA (P. Trevor dr. 6) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
After the race, SKY MINE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Club’s V.O. reported that ALLORA was examined at the stables in the morning on 28/08/2017 and was found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.4(74)– THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TRPOPHY (DIV.II):(About)1000 Metres – 12 Runners
At the start, ROYAL ACE (J. Pradeep, dr. 3) jumped out awkwardly brushing against its starting stall.
At the start, ARVAN (M. A. Roushan, dr. 6) jumped outwards and made contact with ALYATIES (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 7).
Soon after the start, ROYAL BLOOD (App. Raj Pawar) jumped outwards thereby tightening ADAM’S CREATION (Santosh G.).
Approaching the 700 metres, ROYAL BLOOD (App. Raj Pawar) shifted in and bumped OUTSTANDING (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be checked and dropped back thereby inconveniencing ROYAL SAPPHIRE (Bhawani Singh).
Approaching the 400 metres, ROYAL BLOOD (App. Raj Pawar) shifted out and bumped ADAM’S CREATION (Santosh G.).
After the race, Jockey B. Nikhil (BROOKLYN BRIDGE) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, ADAM’S CREATION was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Equine Hospital reported that OUTSTANDING had right eye injury (eye was partially open and there was swelling on the upper eye lid). BROOKLYN BRIDGE had right eye injury (eye is still closed, no lacrimation).
After the race, ROYAL BLOOD and BROOKLYN BRIDGE were trotted and found to be sound. ROYAL BLOOD and SHAMWARI had a cut injury at the right hind cannon.
RACE NO.5(75)– THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TRPOPHY (DIV.I):(About)1000 Metres – 13 Runners
At the start, DEMOCRAT (M. Ayyar dr. 5) jumped out awkwardly inwards at the same time ROCK IN RIO (Dashrath Singh dr. 3) jumped outwards thereby tightening CAPTAIN (Amyn Merchant dr. 4).
Soon after the start, SPARKLING THEA (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out on to FLOWER DUST (H. Zeeshan).
FLOWER DUST (H. Zeeshan) was observed to have raced detached from the field. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to ensure that his charge runs with the field next time out.
After the race, ROCK IN RIO was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, DEMOCRAT and FLOWER DUST were trotted and found to be sound. SPARKLING THEA had a gum injury.
RACE NO.6(76) – THE F.D.WADIA TROPHY (GR.3): (About) 1400 Metres – 7 Runners
In the final stages of the race, SUMMER RAYS (P. Trevor) shifted in and went across KRAMER (Yash Narredu).
The Equine Hospital reported that ROCHESTER had left eye injury (eye was partially open and there was swelling on the upper eye lid).
After the race, KRAMER and CLYMENE were trotted and found to be sound.
KRAMER (Yash Narredu) was placed fifth and TOWER BRIDGE (Prashant P. Dhebe) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
RACE NO.7(77) – THE PANCHSHIL MILLION: (About) 1400 Metres – 11 Runners
ELEGANT BEAUTY jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
At the start, PINK PANTHER (C. S. Jodha, dr. 4) jumped inwards onto SPIRIDON (A. Imran Khan, dr. 3).
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of TEXAS GOLD (Neeraj Rawal) and a report will be submitted shortly.
RACE NO.8(78) – THE SU CHALIYO PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners
At the start, HOPEILICIOUS (A. Imran Khan, dr. 5) jumped outwards on to PORVI (Neeraj Rawal dr. 6) who in turn shifted out on to MOIRA (D. A. Naik, dr. 7).
At the start, MACGYVER (S. Sunil, dr. 8) jumped outwards and bumped ALSACE (Amyn Merchant, dr. 9).
Soon after the start, KOTOR (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr. 1) shied outwards and bumped NEMBE GREEK (C. S. Jodha, dr. 2) who in turn shifted out thereby inconveniencing WILSHIRE (P. Trevor, dr. 3).
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of TAKE FIVE (Yash Narredu) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, TAKE FIVE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(79) – THE AURORA AUREALIS PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 11 Runners
At the start, STAR ACE (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr. 11) jumped awkwardly outwards and had to be steadied.
Approaching the 1400 metres, SILVER EDGE (Neeraj Rawal), racing along the rails, was hampered due to a tightly packed field and had to be checked and dropped back.
After the race, WILDHORN was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, PROMINENCE and SILVER EDGE were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th ASPEN, LADISLAUS, SHAMWARI, ROCHESTER and NEW ENGLAND, as also that of SUMMER RAYS (6th race), and the special sample of TAKE FIVE (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE: MOCK RACE RUN ON 27th AUGUST, 2017
Passing the 600 metres, SAGITTARIUS (S. J. Sunil) was observed to have stumbled and dislodged its rider. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into this incident.
