On a request from Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge SORRENTO in the 6th race, at his (Trainer Shyam S.Habbu’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, permission was granted to Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha to saddle his charges KNIGHT RIDER (1st race), TOWERING HIGH (3rd race) and  HYM PATH (4th race), at his (Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (11)  – THE GREY AREA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

BY THE WAY (A.M.Tograllu) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

 LAZOR RAZOR (P.Trevor, dr.7) shifted in before the Red Marker and took the running of KNIGHT RIDER (C.S.Jodha) who was checked. Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs.1000/-.

 

Jockey P.Trevor (LAZOR RAZOR) has been fined Rs.3000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, ASHWA YODHAA was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore bulb of heel. BLITZING, ROMANTIC BEAUTY and BY THE WAY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (12) – THE STORM PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the start, DANCING MONEY (App.Sandeep Jadhav) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Jockey P.Trevor (SWEATY BETTY) reported that his mount lugged in during the race. STYLISH STROKES (C.S.Jodha) lugged in during the race and approaching 200 metres scrapped the rails. Trainers Narendra Lagad and Magansingh P.Jodha have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge before next accepting to race them.

 

After the race, STYLISH STROKES was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the right hock,  OCEAN OF FAITH was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the saddle area on the left side and left elbow, SWEATY BETTY was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the right hind cannon.  HERMANN and DANCING MONEY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (13) – THE STORM PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Bezan Chenoy, SYLVINIA was examined at 0945 hours on 25/07/2012  and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

Approaching 200 metres, TOWERING HIGH lost her footing whereby Jockey C.S.Jodha became unbalanced and the mare dropped out of the race.

 

After the race, ASHWA PRAHAR, TOWERING HIGH, TOMORROWS DREAMS and STAR OF ZOLTAN (examined on 28/07/2012) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (14) – THE GREY AREA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners

 

SAVAGE GARDEN (P.Trevor) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

HYM PATH (C.S.Jodha) planted and took no practical part in the race. Since the filly had behaved in a similar manner in her last outing during the Mumbai Season 2011/12, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha is required to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race before next accepting with her to race.

 

After the race, CARPE DIEM was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind cannon. ASHWA APOLLO was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (15) – THE VICTORIA FALLS PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 16 Runners

 

At the start, SUKI SUKI (N.S.Parmar) jumped out awkwardly. QUEENS KISS (Shrikant Kamble) hesitated at jump out and threw her head around as she was being steadied.

 

Near 800 metres, WINTER WIND (C.Rajendra) was checked in anticipation of CHARLIE COOL (App.Tushar Nemane) shifting in.

 

Relying on a report from the Sr. VO that DANCING DOLLY was found to have All Steel whereas the filly was declared to have Steel, Hind Bare, Trainer DJ Surti has been fined Rs.2000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing on his charge.

 

Jockey C.Rajendra (WINTER WIND) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race WINTER WIND was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind coronet and DANCING DOLLY had a cut injury at the left hind cannon.  ARABIAN FIGHTER and FOXTROT were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (16) – THE SECRET ROMEO PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

When CENT PER CENT was brought into the Paddock, Jockey Suraj Narredu, the declared Rider for CENT PER CENT, informed that the saddle on his mount was not his and the same was changed. After enquiring, Jockey Suraj Narredu has been fined Rs.3000/- for leaving his saddle unattended after weighing out and Trainer Faisal A Abbas has been fined Rs.3000/- for not ascertaining whether the saddle applied on his charge was of the declared Rider.

 

At the Start, HILLS AND HEIGHTS (P.Kamlesh, dr.2) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to SORRENTO (N.S.Parmar, dr.3), who took the running of ROYAL HIGHNESS (Imran Chisty, dr.4) who dropped back. SORRENTO (N.S.Parmar) further shifted in and went on to CHEMIN DE FER (C.Rajendra). 

 

After the race, LYRICAL SYMPHONY and HILLS AND HEIGHTS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (17) – THE RADIANT PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

HOME FACTOR (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and carried SECRET SERVICE (A.Ashhad Asbar) inwards before the Red Marker. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.1000/-.

 

At the start, LIMITLESS HILLS (C.Rajendra, dr.3) shifted outwards and at the same time CELESTIAL CALL (J.E.Pereira, dr.4) shifted in due to STUNTACULAR (App.Nikhil Bhujbal, dr.5) shifting in, and made contact with each other.

 

After the race, LIMITLESS HILLS was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore frog and ROESTI had a cut injury at the right hind cannon.

 

RACE NO.8 (18) – THE ROSE ROYAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs.1000/- for accepting his charge PEPE JUNIOR in this race when the gelding was on a Veterinary Ban. The horse was struck out from the race.

 

Near 1000 metres, STAR TRAINER (App.Prabhu Naidu) shifted out and caused ANCIENT WONDER (Akshay) to shift out, due to which DANCING GLANCES (A.Sandesh) shied away and drifted outwards. App.Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned.

 

Jockey P.Trevor (STAR GODDESS) reported that his mount suddenly dropped back in the straight and near 200 metres, MOUNTAIN REGIMENT (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted in due to which he had to steady his mount.

 

After the race, STAR FUTURE was found to be sore by the right fore leg.  The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, STAR GODDESS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9 (19) – THE VICTORIA FALLS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 16 Runners

 

FALLEN ANGEL (Zameer Sayyed) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, SERENA (P.Trevor) jumped awkwardly inwards.

 

At the start, EMERGING STAR (App.Prabhu Naidu) shifted out and forced DIAMONDZIP (T.S.Jodha) to shift out, who in turn took SAIFEENA (Akash Agarwal) outwards, as such, App.Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned.

 

Jockey D.K.Ashish (TITLEIST) reported the loss of his whip at about 100 metres.

 

After the race, EMERGING STAR was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern and DREAM WEAVER had a cut injury at the left  hock.

 

RACE NO.10 (20) – THE RADIANT PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Soon after the start, ROYAL HONOUR (C.S.Jodha) hung out and jostled with REBECCA (N.S.Parmar) on a few occasions. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

Approaching 800 metres, FORTUNER (Hanumant Singh) shifted in and tightened AWESOME SMILE (A.Ashhad Asbar) who in turn shifted in and hampered the running of REBECCA (N.S.Parmar), who lost position. Jockey Hanumant Singh has been cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, NATIVE LADY (D.K.Ashish) lugged inwards and tightened SEVEN SEAS (Nirmal Jodha). Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, NATIVE LADY, SNOW BLAZE, TALK OF THE TOWN, ROYAL HONOUR and IRRESISTIBLE HUNK were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th race, viz. SWEATY BETTY, LEGENDS ORDER, WINTER WIND and SHABDEEZ and the special sample of  HILLS AND HEIGHTS (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE: APPEAL AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE STEWARDS OF THE CLUB IN RESPECT OF SUSPENSION OF HIS JOCKEY’S LICENSE W.E.F. 29TH APRIL 2012 AND THEREAFTER SHOULD HE APPLY FOR A JOCKEY’S LICENSE FOR THE RACING SEASON 2012-13, IT WOULD BE GRANTED TO HIM BUT IT SHALL STAND SUSPENDED W.E.F. 26TH JULY 2012 TO 4TH AUGUST FOR RIDING AN INJUDICIOUS RACE ON HIS MOUNT “ÓRIENTAL SAPPHIRE” IN RACE NO 340 RUN ON 14TH APRIL 2012 – JOCKEY DK ASHISH

 

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on 27th July 2012 considered Appeal from Jockey D.K Ashish and interviewed him and his Spokesman Mr.S.Kapoor as also Trainer Bezan Chenoy. The Board of Appeal, having studied all documents and papers that were submitted, including the Grounds of Appeal and having heard the submissions made by Jockey D.K.Ashish and his spokesman and having viewed the relevant portion of the race in question several times in normal as well as in slow motion and having deliberated on the matter at length and having applied their minds, decided to reject his appeal. In view of the Stay granted to him on his punishment, his Jockey’s License will now stand suspended w.e.f. 4th August 2012 to 12th August 2012 (both days inclusive). Further, the Board of Appeal was of the opinion that the punishment meted out to Jockey DK Ashish was lenient and decided to enhance the same. After having heard Jockey DK Ashish and his Spokesman again, the Board decided to fine Jockey D.K.Ashish a sum of Rs.10,000/- in addition to the penalty of suspension of his Jockey’s License.

RE: APPEAL AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE STEWARDS OF THE CLUB IN RESPECT OF SUSPENSION OF HIS JOCKEY’S LICENSE W.E.F. 4TH AUGUST 2012 TO 12TH AUGUST 2012  FOR UNSATISFACTORY RIDING ON HIS MOUNT “ISHPINGO” IN RACE NO 356 RUN ON 21ST APRIL 2012 – JOCKEY DASHRATH SINGH

 

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on 27th July 2012 considered Appeal from Jockey Dashrath Singh and interviewed him and his Spokesman Mr.S.Kapoor as also Trainer Faisal A Abbas. The Board of Appeal, having studied all documents and papers that were submitted, including the Grounds of Appeal and having heard the submissions made by Jockey Dashrath Singh and his spokesman and having viewed the race in question several times in normal as well as in slow motion and having deliberated on the matter at length and having applied their minds, decided to partially allow his Appeal and modify the punishment. In view of the Stay granted to him on his punishment, his Jockey’s License will now stand suspended w.e.f. 4th August 2012 to 5th August 2012 for riding an Ill-judged race.
