RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 6 METRES AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST.
FOR THE RACE STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer Rajesh Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer M. Narredu to saddle his charge DEDICATED BOY in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer Rajesh Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.
RACE NO.1(135) – THE STUNNING PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10
At the start, WAFY (M. Ayyar, dr.3) jumped outwards and made contact with BETWEEN FRIENDS (C. S. Jodha, dr.4).
Approaching the 1000 metres, SPIRITUAL ROCK (Dashrath Singh) shifted in onto DAWNSTAR (S. A. Amit) causing the latter to check. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Antony Raj S. rider of BAKU reported that passing the 300 metres in the process of using the whip his mount shifted out and made contact with MYRCELLA (S. Zervan) who inturn carried BETWEEN FRIENDS (C. S. Jodha) outwards, further approaching the 200 metres he lost his reins momentarily in the process of using his whip.
The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of BAKU (Antony Raj S.) and the report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, NUSRAT was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(136) – THE DADY ADENWALLA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 4
Jockey P. Trevor was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount AAH BELLA. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, ARIES was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(137) – THE OSMAN CHOTANI PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 14
Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.1,000/- for weighing out late due to which his mount IRREPRESSIBLE came late in the paddock.
At the start, it was observed that Jockey Dashrath Singh rider of POWER OF THOR had lost his balance momentarily due to which the gelding lost about 3 lengths.
Approaching the 200 metres, ANGELS TRUMPET (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out under urging onto VERDANDI (P. S. Chouhan) causing the latter to check. Jockey N. B. Kuldeep has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.
After the race, SHADOWS was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, MASCARA found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, VERDANDI had a gum injury.
RACE NO.4(138) – THE AMAZING MAURITIUS CUP: (About) 2000 Metres –Runners- 4
At the request of Trainer P. Shroff, NORTH STAR was endoscope in the Equine Hospital at 09.45 a.m. on 25/3/2022 and found to be a case of EIPH Grade II, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
Trainer Altaf Hussain has been fined Rs.1,000/- for mounting Jockey P. Trevor late on his charge SULTAN SULEIMAN in the paddock.
Jockey P. Trevor was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount SULTAN SULEIMAN. This being his second offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.
RACE NO.5(139) – THE SATINELLO TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
At the start, MONT BLANC (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.2) was marginally slow to begin.
At the start, HUNAR (Antony Raj S., dr.7) jumped inwards onto MIGHTY THUNDER (Akash Agarwal, dr.6) who was marginally slow to begin and brushed the haunches of HUNAR.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that his mount DEDICATED BOY was lugging-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer Rajesh Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Akash Agarwal reported that his mount MIGHTY THUNDER hung-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.6(140) – POONAWALLA STUD FARMS AUCTION SALE STAKES: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 5
MOZELLE (P. Trevor, dr.4) reared up as the start was effected due to which the filly lost about 3 lengths at the start.
It was observed that passing the 400 metres, MOZELLE (P. Trevor) lugged-in in the straight despite Jockey’s effort. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
It was observed that approaching the 100 metres, COEUR DE LION lugged-in in the straight despite Jockey’s effort. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
COEUR DE LION was examined in the stables by Sr. Veterinary Officer on 28th March 2022 and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(141) – THE RAJCOOMAR GUJADHUR MEMORIAL TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 15
PERCIVALE (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) and BEEMER (R. Rupesh, dr.10) jumped out slowly losing about 3 lengths each at the start.
At the start, SPECULATOR (App. A. S. Peter, dr.4) jumped inwards and at the same time BOLD ADVANCE (M. Ayyar, dr.3) jumped outwards and made contact further they shifted in onto CHANCELLOR (App. P. Vinod, dr.2).
Soon after the start, ARABIAN PHOENIX (App. A. Prakash) shifted out and carried STEPPENWOLF (S. Zervan) outwards. App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.
Approaching the 900 metres, SHE IS ON FIRE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out due to which CHANCELLOR (App. P. Vinod) racing on its haunches had to be steadied. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.
Passing the 350 metres, CHANCELLOR (App. P. Vinod) shifted out and made contact with CAMPAIGN (Raghuveer Singh). App P Vinod has been cautioned.
After the race, ON VA DANSER found to be sore by the right fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.8(142) – THE STUNNING PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10
Jockey S Zervan has been fined Rs.1,000/- for weighing out late due to which his mount TRISTAR came late in the paddock.
At the start, CIPHER (Joc. H. M. Akshay) jumped outwards and made contact with SILVER STEPS (N. B. Kuldeep).
After the race, App. Kirtish Bhagat reported that the saddle on his mount KING OF KATNI had shifted forward during the race due to which he was unable to ride his mount at full advantage. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.
After the race, Jockey Akash Agarwal reported that his mount C’EST L’AMOUR was not galloping fluently in the straight as such he had to stop riding.
After the race, C’EST L’AMOUR found to be sore by the right hind. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

The urine samples of the winners of the 1st, 2nd & 6th race, viz. SPIRITUAL ROCK, CHAMONIX & AHEAD OF MY TIME, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
