RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT.

On a request from Trainer Vishal Gaikwad, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh to saddle his charge JACK BAUER in the 2^nd race & AGOSTINO CARRACCI in the 5^th race, at his own (Trainer Vinesh’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Zadmal Singh, permission was granted to Trainer Subhag Singh to saddle his charge TARZAN in the 5^th race, at his own (Trainer Zadmal Singh’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Rajesh Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer S. Narredu to saddle his charge DEDICATED BOY in the 7^th race, at his own (Trainer Rajesh Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy, permission was granted to Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy to saddle his charge ARTHUR in the 7^th race, at his own (Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(103) – LE GRIS CHEVAL PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 10

At the start, AME (D. S. Daman, dr.7) jumped outwards and made contact with TURMERIC TOWER (Dashrath Singh, dr.8).

Approaching 150 metres, SMART CHOICE (Raghuveer Singh) shifted in under urgings and went onto NUSRAT (Akshay Gaikwad) who had to be steadied. Jockey Raghuveer Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

After the race, Jockey R. Rupesh reported that the saddle on his mount DOWSABEL had slipped during the race. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been fined Rs.2,000/- being first offence of faulty saddling of his charge, during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22.

After the race, Jockey K. Nazil reported that his mount LITTLE MORE hung out throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, TRMERIC TOWER had an abrasion on left hind pastern.

After the race, NUSRAT and LITTLE MORE were trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.2(104) – THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB TROPHY - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, POWER OF THOR was examined in the stable area at 11.30 a.m. on 25/2/2022 and was found to be sore from right fore, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

PERCIVALE (N. S. Parmar, dr.5) jumped out slowly losing about 6 lengths at the start. In view of above and a similar behavior of the gelding in the last start, Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the starter, before next accepting to race.

At the start, ZACAPA (S. A. Gray, dr.6) jumped outwards at the same time DALI SWIRL (P. Trevor, dr.8) jumped inwards thereby bumping and tightening GHALEB (App. A. S. Peter, dr.7) drawn between them.

Soon after the start, JACK BAUER (Akshay) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing WINSTAR (App. P. Shinde). Jockey Akshay has been cautioned.

After the race, ROYAL CROWN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, LORD AND MASTER was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, COLD PURSUIT was trotted and found to be sound thereafter the gelding examined at 10.15 a.m. on 28^th February 2022 and found to be sore from right fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.3(105) – THE DR GOOLAM E. VAHANVATI TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 9

REMY RED (S. A. Gray) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, SHE IS ON FIRE (S. Zervan, dr.4) jumped outwards and went across HELA (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) who was marginally slow to begin.

After the race, App. A. K. Aniket reported that his mount ZARAK hung out in the straight. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

Jockey N. S. Parmar (TOUSSAINT) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. After questioning, Jockey N. S. Parmar stated that his mount was lugging out in the straight and the whip was used as a corrective measures and the same was borne out from the race video as such no action has been initiated against Jockey. However, Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.4(106) – THE KUMAR R. DALAL CUP: (About) 2400 Metres –Runners- 5

At the start, AAH BELLA (Suraj Narredu, dr.1) jumped outwards and went across BOTERO (P. Trevor, dr.2) at the same time MANDEVILLE (P. S. Chouhan, dr.) leaned inwards onto ANIMOUS (T. S. Jodha, dr.3) forcing it inwards in view of this BOTERO and ANIMOUS were tightened for room and had to be steadied.

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into running and riding of BOTERO (P. Trevor) and MANDEVILLE (P. S. Chouhan) and reports will be submitted shortly.

After the race BOTERO and MANDEVILLE were trotted and found to be sound, ANIMOUS had a cut injury on left hind tendon & pastern.

RACE NO.5(107) – THE FLORRIE & FREDDY SOPHER GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14

CIPHER was brought in to the paddock sporting a Visor instead of a Blinker. The said equipment was replaced before the horse left the paddock. In view of the lapse Trainer Faisal Abbas has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

At the start, VIKRAMADITYA (Antony Raj S., dr.2) jumped inwards onto BOLD ADVANCE (M. Ayyar, dr.1).

At the start, EXCLUSIVE (Suraj Narredu, dr.3) jumped outwards at the same time AGOSTINO CARRACCI (P. Trevor, dr.5) jumped inwards and made contact with LAGERTHA (App. A. S. Peter, dr.4).

Soon after the start, MY TREASURE (Yash Narredu) leaned inwards and made contact with STARS FOR YOU (S. Zervan).

Passing the 650 metres, TARZAN (P. S. Chouhan) was observed to have overreached and clipped the heels of SPIRIT BAY (H. Zeeshan).

After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu reported that his mount MY TREASURE lacked the initial speed as such could not seat up.

Jockey Bhawani Singh (BLAZING BAY) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for coming in before the red marker.

App. A. S. Peter (LAGERTHA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

After the race, SPIRIT BAY found to be sore by the left fore and had injury on right hock. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, STARS FOR YOU & MY TREASURE were trotted and found to be sound, PEPPER and RHYTHM OF NATURE had gum injuries.

RACE NO.7(109) – THE POONAWALLA BREEDERS' MULTI-MILLION (GRADE 1): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 8

Soon after the start, DEXA (Antony Raj S.) shifted in and went across DAIANNE (Bhawani Singh) and made contact with IMPERIAL POWER (Suraj Narredu) who in turn shifted in tightening ARTHUR (Akshay Kumar) causing the latter to check and drop back. Jockey Antony Raj S. has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

Soon after the start, DEDICATED BOY (Yash Narredu) was inclined outwards and carried AHEAD OF MY TIME (P. Trevor) outwards

After the race, SUPERNATURAL was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.8(110) – THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB TROPHY - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

AURELE (M. Ayyar, dr.8) and ESFIR (Bhawani Singh, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about a length each at the start.

Soon after the start, DAGGERS STRIKE (Prashant P. Dhebe), racing between SONG SONG BLUE (App. A. S. Peter) and SHAE (S. Zervan) was tightened for room and had to be steadied. Jockey S. Zervan and App. A. S. Peter have been cautioned.

Passing the 900 metres, ESFIR (Bhawani Singh) leaned inwards thereby tightening and inconveniencing AURELE (M. Ayyar). Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned

From the 400 metres, SINNER (Suraj Narredu) was observed to inclined outwards thereafter approaching the 300 metres shifted out and made contact with DAGGER’S STRIKE (Prashant P. Dhebe) who had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey Suraj Narredu reported that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, SHAE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, SINNER was trotted and found to be sound, PRINCIPESSA was observed to have lost its left fore shoe.

RACE NO.9(111) – LE GRIS CHEVAL PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 10

At the start, BETWEEN FRIENDS (T. S. Jodha, dr.4) jumped inwards onto EXPLORER (App. P. Shinde, dr.3)

At the start, SPECIAL SITUATION (R. Shelar, dr.6) jumped inwards and made contact with SAFDAR (Shahrukh Khan, dr.5).

Soon after the start, KARDASHIAN (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in before the red marker and went across the field thereby starting a chain reaction due to which SAFDAR (Shahrukh Khan), BETWEEN FRIENDS (T. S. Jodha), EXPLORER (App. P. Shinde) and ON VA DANSER (App. A. K. Aniket) were tightened. App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.3,000/-

Passing the 400 metres, SAFDAR (Shahrukh Khan) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing BETWEEN FRIENDS (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to check and change course. Jockey Shahrukh Khan has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Approaching the 200 metres, POWER OF NEATH (App. A. Prakash) leaned inwards onto KARDARSHIAN (App. A. S. Peter). App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.

App. A. S. Peter (KARDASHIAN) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

After the race, LA PEREGRINA was trotted and found to be sound.
