RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 1 METRE AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT 900 METRES AND THEREAFTER 3 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 9 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

RACE NO.1(150) – THE PARTY WHIP PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners
COURAGEOUS STAR (Shrikant Kamble) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Deepesh Narredu has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
RON (S. S. Baria) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
At the start, TWINSPIRE (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 1) jumped outwards and made contact with MIDNIGHT MOON (S. Zervan, dr. 2).
After the race, App. A. S. Peter (VALIANT STAR) reported that passing the 300 metres, his mount shied outwards under the use of whip.
The Equine Hospital reported that TWINSPIRE had injury to both eyes (sore, lacrimation).
After the race, GOD’S DECREE was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern. STORM EAGLE, DOWSABEL, PRINCESS AVIKA and TWINSPIRE were found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.2(151) – THE ALLIED FORCES PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners
At the start, MOUNT OLYMPUS (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 2) jumped outwards and went across WAR OF ATTRITION (N. B. Kuldeep, dr. 3) who was marginally slow to begin. Due to this incident, WAR OF ATTRITION clipped the heels of the former.
At the start, PERIWINKLE (N. S. Parmar, dr. 7) jumped outwards on to GODSWORD (App. K. Nazil, dr. 8). Thereafter, FIRE FLAME (App. Aniket Karande, dr. 9) shifted in on to GODSWORD, who in turn shifted in on to PERIWINKLE (N. S. Parmar), forcing the latter to be checked.
After the race, MOUNT OLYMPUS was found to be sore by the let fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, STICK TO THE PLAN, QUAIL HOLLOW, PERIWINKLE and FIRE FLAME were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(152) – THE PARTY WHIP PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners
SUMMER AIR (S. Zervan) was reluctant to be stalled. PIXEL (App. P. Vinod) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainers Altaf Hussain and M. Narredu have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, SUMMER AIR (S. Zervan) shifted out under urgings and made contact with C’EST L’AMOUR (C. S. Jodha). Jockey S. Zervan has been cautioned.
Soon after the start, WARRIOR CLAN (A. Sandesh) shifted in and went across VA BENE (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied.
Passing the 800 metres, GALLANT STAR (Shrikant Kamble) shifted out inconveniencing GOLDEN SCEPTRE (D. A. Naik) and SUPREME BEING (R. Shelar).
The Equine Hospital reported that MADELEINE had left eye injury (sore).
After the race, WARRIOR CLAN was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock, DANCING JADE had an abrasion at the left hind coronet and VA BENE had an abrasion at both hind fetlock.
RACE NO.4(153) – THE SURAIYA & MASOOM MASTER TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners
There was dual declaration in respect of Jockey N. S. Parmar by Trainer Dallas Todywalla on SPLASH and by Trainer P. Shroff on NOTORIETY. After questioning all concerned, Trainer P. Shroff was permitted to declare Jockey N. S. Parmar on NOTORIETY and Trainer Dallas Todywalla declared Jockey T. S. Jodha on SPLASH. In this connection, Jockey N. S. Parmar has been fined Rs. 4,000/-. for having accepted two mounts in the same race.
At the start, SPLASH (T. S. Jodha, dr. 7) jumped outwards on to TUDOR HALL (A. Sandesh, dr .8) who had to be steadied.
Soon after the start, SPLASH (T. S. Jodha) shifted in onto CHUTZPAH (Neeraj Rawal) who in turn shifted in tightening DON’T MESS WITH ME (S. S. Baria).
Approaching the 600 metres, SPLASH (T. S. Jodha) shifted in thereby tightening THUNDERCLAP (Santosh G.), causing the latter to be checked and change course thereby forcing BRILLIANT GOLD (C. S. Jodha) outwards on to CHUTZPAH (Neeraj Rawal), who in turn shifted out on to TUDOR HALL (A. Sandesh). After questioning, Jockey T. S. Jodha has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.
After the race Jockey Suraj Narredu (SPECULATOR) reported that his mount hung-in from the 400 metres. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
After the race, DONT MESS WITH ME was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind coronet and SUNRISE RUBY had lost its left hind shoe. SPECULATOR was found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.5(154) – THE AQUAGUARD CHAMPIONSHIP R.W.I.T.C. LTD. GOLD CUP (GR.2):
(About) 2000 Metres – 7 Runners
WATCHMYSCRIPT (N. S. Parmar) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.
Soon after the start, RAEES (A. Sandesh) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing WATCHMYSCRIPT (N. S. Parmar).
An objection was lodged by Jockey N. S. Parmar, the rider of WATCHMYSCRIBT (Placed Third) against RAEES (A. Sandesh, Placed Second). The reason being, on jump out RAEES knocked him from the outside and took his position and eventually he had to sit last and his filly has come from the last position and covered too much ground otherwise he would have finished second.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
The Equine Hospital reported that RAEES had left eye injury (sore, lacrimation).
After t he race, SECRETIVE FORCE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(155) – THE MOUNT ROSE PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 10 Runners
At the start, ARRECIFE (Akshay) was observed to have lost its footing.
Soon after the start, CUPIDO (Neeraj Rawal) and AQUARIUS (D. A. Naik) were observed to have jostled.
Passing the 400 metres, RAINBOW TROUT (A. Sandesh) shifted out and made contact with POWER OF THOR (Dashrath Singh). Thereafter, passing the 250 metres, POWER OF THOR (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and at the same time SHAE (Yash Narredu) shifted out thereby tightening RAINBOW TROUT (A. Sandesh) who was racing between them.
Passing the 150 metres, RAINBOW TROUT (A. Sandesh) shifted in and went across SHAE (Yash Narredu). After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh reported that his mount hung in. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, SYLVESTER was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, CUPIDO was found to be sore by the left fore leg. At the behest of the trainer, CUPIDO was scoped at the Equine Hospital after the race and was found to have guttural pouch empyema (+) (EIPH Gr.II). The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, RAINBOW TROUT and AQUARIUS were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(156) – THE ALLIED FORCES PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners
At the start, CIPHER (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 11) was observed to have jumped out awkwardly brushing against its stall.
At the start, AME (N. S. Parmar, dr. 3) jumped outwards. At the same time, RUN FORREST RUN (App. P. Vinod, dr.6) jumped inwards on to BONAFIDE (App. A. S. Peter, dr. 5) who in turn shifted in and went across NIGHT HUNT (Kishore Kadam, dr. 4)made contact with AME (N. S. Parmar), causing the latter to be checked.
Approaching the 800 metres, JULIO CESARO (Akshay Kumar) shifted in and went across FALCONETTE (App. K. Nazil) causing the latter to be checked.
Passing the 250 metres, AUSPICIOUS (Suraj Narredu) shifted out due to which RUN FORREST RUN (App. P. Vinod) shied outwards and had to be steadied. Thereafter, in the final stages of the race, AUSPICIOUS shifted in and went across NIGHT HUNT (Kishore Kadam). In view of the erratic behavior of the colt, Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race his charge.
The Stipendiary Stewards have initiated an enquiry into the running and riding of POLYNEICES and will submit a report.
After the race, FALCONETTE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. Also, the filly had an abrasion at the left hind above the hock and right hind coronet. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, POLYNEICES was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. AUSPICIOUS was found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.8(157) – THE IRISH BOSS PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 16 Runners
THEA’S PET (Dashrath Singh) and ROMANTIC EYES (App. K. Nazil) and I AM THE WAY (Shrikant Kamble) jumped out slow losing about a length each at the start.
Passing 600 metres, OUTSTANDING (App. P. Shinde) shifted out and carried GLORIANA (N. B. Kuldeep) and SPEEDO (S. S. Baria) outwards.
In the final stages of the race, I AM THE WAY (Shrikant Kamble) who was racing on the haunches of OUTSTASNDING (App. P. Shinde) and GLORIANA (N. B. Kuldeep), was denied a clear passage and had to be held.
The Equine Hospital reported that ROMANTIC EYES had left eye injury (sore, lacrimation).

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 7th and 8th race viz. WARRIOR CLAN, AUSPICIOUS and ISINIT and the Urine and Blood Samples of BRONX & RAEES (Winner & Second Placed – 5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
