RACE DAY REPORTS

 

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 1 METRE WIDE FROM 1000 METRES TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACE 1.5 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1 (175) THE KILSHANNIG PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 7 

 

GOLDEN ORRA (Towfeeq R.Shaikh) and MEDTIAS PRIDE (App.Kavraj Singh) were reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Narendra Lagad and Adhirajsingh Jodha have been asked to give more Gate practice to their respective charges and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 200 metres, BLAZING SPEED (T.Atul) shifted in, due to which GOLDEN ORRA (Towfeeq R.Shaikh) shied away and shifted in and hampered the running of MEDTIAS PRIDE (App.Kavraj Singh). Jockey T.Atul has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, CHIEF WARRIOR was found to be sore by the left fore leg. Also, the gelding had a cut injury on the left hind canon. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MEDTIAS PRIDE and GOLDEN ORRA were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (176) THE CACOPHONY PLATE : (About) 1600 Metres. Runners – 6 

 

At the request of Trainer Dallas Todywalla, WINNING TREAT was examined at 0930 hours on 26/09/2010 and was found to be sore by the right hind leg, having hoof abscess and swelling on fetlock. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

After the publication of the Declarations for today’s races, Trainer Subhag Singh informed that at first he had declared Jockey Vikram Jodha on his charge MOON GAZER which he had subsequently changed to App Kavraj Singh on the Club’s Web Portal, but this change did not reflect in the published Declarations. The Trainer produced the e-mail received from the Club’s Web Portal and as such a change of Jockey was permitted and App.Kavraj Singh was allowed to ride MOON GAZER. 

 

Jockey S.S.Baria (BRILLIANT MOON) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount and further he has been fined  Rs.2000/- for improper use of the whip.

 

RACE NO.3 (177) THE ROYAL WINDSOR PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres. Runners - 4

 

STAR FUTURE (C.Rajendra) was restless in its Stall. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to give the gelding more Gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.4 (178) THE CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX (CCA), PUNE TROPHY DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 9

 

WARRIOR PRINCE (R.Shelar) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head up. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to the gelding more Gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, TUSCON SUN (Y.S.Srinath) swerved outwards and lost ground. Trainer S.K.Sunderji explained that the gelding had a change of equipment and also the gelding was drawn on the extreme outside, due to which he may have behaved in this manner. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter during the morning trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TUSCAN SUN and ARDENT LOVER were found to be sound. ARDENT LOVER was observed to have lost its left fore plate.

 

RACE NO 5. (179) THE  STARSKY TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 8 

 

TELL ME MORE (S.John) was restless in its Stall. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more Gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

KRUG (R.Shelar) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Near 300 metres, GUNS N ROSES (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in under the use of the whip and forced RIDING FANTASY (Y.S.Srinath) to shift in from its rightful running. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding. Consideration of the matter was deferred.

 

After the race, RIDING FANTASY was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind fetlock. TELL ME MORE and GUNS N ROSES were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (180) THE  HOTSTEPPER TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres.  Runners - 9 

 

VIBGYOR (App.D.Akkshay) played up in its Stall, ducked the front Gates and bolted off without the Rider. The gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starters’ Order. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to give the gelding more Gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ZARACHA, RIVER CHIEFTAIN, AMORE MIO and VIBGYOR were found to be sound.  VIBGYOR had an abrasion on the right fore arm.

 

RACE NO.7 (181) THE  PANCHSHIL MILLION:  (About) 1600 Metres. Runners - 7 

 

At the start, OCEAN ADMIRAL (C.Rajendra) was observed to have thrown its head up and began awkwardly. The explanation of Trainer S.K.Sunderji that the instructions to Jockey C.Rajendra were to settle the gelding behind and in trying to follow the instructions, the horse had behaved in this manner was noted. 

 

Approaching 200 metres, CARIBBEAN QUEEN (S.Zervan) shifted out as the Jockey used the whip once and went across DANTE ROSSETTI (B.Prakash). Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.   

 

HEIRESS (P.Kamlesh) lugged-in in the final 200 metres. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (CRYSTAL) was inclined to run out through out the race. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that CRYSTAL was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

CRYSTAL (Neeraj Rawal) was placed fifth and DANTE ROSSETTI (B.Prakash) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8 (182) THE  MOOSA M.HOSSEIN PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 11 

 

PROUD STAR (Y.S.Srinath) and SEA DIAMOND (I.Shaikh) were reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Imtiaz A.Sait and H.J.Antia have been asked to give more Gate practice to their respective charges and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

BLESSINGS (V.Chandrakant) was slow in the strides losing about 3 lengths.

 

On questioning, Jockey R Shelar (ASTON MARTIN) stated that he had poor visibility due to the kick back and hence he could not ride to full advantage.

 

RACE NO.9 (183) THE  CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX (CCA), PUNE TROPHY (DIV.I) :(About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 10 

 

At the start, MADAM KILLEEN (Amyn Merchant, dr.10) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to CONZTANZA (F.Irani, dr.9) who in turn inconvenienced INDIAN CHIEF (Towfeeq R.Shaikh, dr.8). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

After the race, INDIAN CHIEF was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind fetlock and EMERALD VALLEY had lost its left fore plate.

 

RACE NO.10 (184) THE  MOOSA M.HOSSEIN PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 10 

 

KIMAYA (V.Chandrakant) dwelt at the start.

 

Approaching 800 metres, due to MCQUEEN (I.Shaikh) shifting in, GLIDES LINE (T.S.Jodha) shifted in and forced THUNDER STRIKE (R.Shelar) to shift in, who in turn tightened KIMAYA (V.Chandrakant). Since the incident was accidental, no actiion has been initiated against anyone.

 

After the race, SEA WONDER was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind pastern and FIERY FORTUNE had lost its right hind plate. GLIDES LINE & ALBUURZ were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 3rd, 7th, 8th and 10th race viz. STAR FUTURE, HEIRESS, OCEAN STAR & RED TABASCO, as also that of CARIBBEAN QUEEN & LUNAR QUEST, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
