RACE DAY REPORTS

(FLASE RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES WIDE FROM 2000 METRES TILL 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 6 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED ABOUT 4 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai, permission was granted to Trainer Himmat Singh to saddle his charge ROYAL DESTINY in the 7th race, at his (Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai‘s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (87) – THE  SONALIKA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge OLUCHI.

 

Soon after the start, STAR OF ZOLTAN (Zameer Sayyed) shifted in and inconvenienced TOMORROWS DREAMS (App.Tushar Nemane). Jockey Zameer Sayyed has been cautioned for not making sufficient effort to control his mount.

 

Approaching 1000 metres, STAR GLORY (Hanumant Singh) was tightened while racing between JENS SECRET (S.K.Jadhav) and FANTASTIC KINGDOM (S.Zervan) due to JENS SECRET shifting out, and dropped back and in doing so, hampered the running of OLUCHI (A.Sandesh) and ASHAWA APOLLO (App.Prasad). Jockey S.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey S.K.Jadhav (JENS GLORY) reported loss of whip near 300 metres. 

 

Near 100 metres, FANTASTIC KINGDOM (S.Zervan) lugged out and made contact with SUKI SUKI (Amyn Merchant). Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, SUKI SUKI was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the left hind pastern.  FANTASTIC KINGDOM was found to be sound, the gelding had lost its right fore plate.

 

RACE NO.2 (88) – THE  SANS PAREIL PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners

 

WIND OF THE HILLS (Amyn Merchant) was restless in the stall. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey P.Trevor, the declared Rider for SCARLATTI informed on 25th August 2012 that he had erroneously accepted to ride SCARLATTI in this race and would not be able to fulfill his riding engagement as he had already accepted a ride in a Graded race at Hyderabad. As such, Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to fulfill his riding engagement on SCARLATTI and  Jockey B.Prakash was substituted in his place.

 

At the start, SECRET WEAPON (F.Irani) shifted in and caused WIND OF THE HILLS (Amyn Merchant) to shift in, who in turn caused SAMI (P.Kamlesh) to shift in, who was awkwardly placed behind the heels of SCARLATTI (B.Prakash) and was steadied. Jockey F.Irani has been fined Rs. 1000/-.

 

COMMANDER (Dashrath Singh) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey J.Chinoy (SET TO FLY) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to drift outwards in the straight.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the riding of SET TO FLY and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

RACE NO.3(89)  – THE  RAPHAELA PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 7 Runners

 

Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge INCOGNITO.

 

Near 1200 metres, VIBGYOR (Akshay) was tightened and lost position.

 

Approaching 200 metres, SALT (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and caused interference to ILLUSTRIOUS (Nirmal Jodha). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.   

 

After the race, HILLS AND HEIGHTS was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right fore cannon. STROMBOLI had an abrasion at the right hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.4(90)  – THE  GAMBLE FOR LOVE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 6 Runners

 

Soon after the start, WEIZHOU (Imran Chisty) was inconvenienced while racing between STAR GODDESS (Kavraj Singh) and NATIONAL GLORY (Dashrath Singh).

 

Near 300 metres, NATIONAL GLORY (Dashrath Singh), who was weakening at that stage, shifted out and made contact with STAR GODDESS (Kavraj Singh). 

 

Jockey S.Zervan (ELENA, dr.5) has been fined Rs. 1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker and in the process going across the inside field.  

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (WEIZHOU) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, STAR GODDESS was found to be sore by the right fore leg.  The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, WEIZHOU was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right nostril. NATIONAL GLORY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(91) – THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners

 

Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge ZOOM ZOOM.

 

At the start, ZOOM ZOOM (Shrikant Kamble) stumbled.

 

Near 900 metres, MCQUEEN (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted in and hampered the running of CHARLIE COOL (Imran Chisty). Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 800 metres, THREE ROSES (App.Nikhil Bhujbal) scrapped the rails and thereafter the filly became uninterested and trailed to field.

 

After the race, THREE ROSES and ANGELS QUEST were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(92) – THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the start, ADAMS VISION (C.S.Jodha, dr.3) fly jumped and jostled with WINCHESTER (A.Ashhad Asbar, dr.4) who had jumped awkwardly inwards.

 

Near 900 metres, CAPITANO (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and went across TRUMP CARD (V.Phadke) who shifted out in anticipation and caused MINUTE TO WIN IT (V.Chandrakant) to travel wide. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

 

Jockey V.Chandrakant (MINUTE TO WIN IT) was observed to ease up his mount before passing the Post wjerenu he has possibly lost the 4th Place. The matter was reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter has been to the next meeting of the Stewards.

 

After the race, CAPITANO was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right hock and  HURRICANE BIRD was found to be sound but having a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel. MINUTE TO WIN IT  had a cut injury at the right hind coronet and RESURRECTION was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(93) – THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

SHE’S SWEET (Akash Agarwal) was reluctant to be stalled. MOON RAKER (Vikram Jodha) jumped awkwardly and tried to drift outwards thereby losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainers Zadmal Singh and S.K.Sunderji have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 400 metres, ROYAL DESTINY (S.N.Chavan) was hampered for a run and steadied when MOON RAKER (Vikram Jodha) shifted in. Jockey Vikram Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (DANSE DEBONAIRE) reported that his mount lugged out while negotiating the bend and in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

After the race, MOON RAKER and STAR GAZING were both observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern and HOT AS ICE had a cut injury at the right hind bulb of heel.

RACE NO.8(94)  – THE  THREPTIN FILLIES’ & MARES’ STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1800 Metres – 8 Runners

 

BLING (Dashrath Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, NADIA was found to be sore by the left fore leg.  The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ALMA MATER was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern and fetlock and BLING had an abrasion at the right shoulder and also had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.9(95) – THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

 

Jockey K.Deepesh (NICANORA) reported that his mount lugged in during the race. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey S.Zervan (ICE ZONE) reported that his mount was inclined to lug in during the race. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ROMALIA was found to be sore by the right fore leg.  The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race,  COLOURS FLYING was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.10 (96) – THE  SONALIKA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

O’PRINCESS (Akash Agarwal) jumped out awkwardly, losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

App.Prabhu Naidu (ARABIAN FIGHTER, dr.10) has been cautioned for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Soon after the start, STAR STORM (B.Sreekanth, dr.9) shifted in and interfered with NANINA (C.S.Jodha, dr.8) who was tightened on to ASHWA YODHAA (Amyn Merchant, dr.7). Jockey B.Sreekanth has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

STAR STORM (B.Sreekanth) who had shifted in after the start, shifted outwards due to the presence of SOLID ROCK (Nirmal Jodha) and caused ARABIAN FIGHTER (App.Prabhu Naidu) to shift out, who in turn forced MACHALA (Imran Chisty) to travel wide.

Jockey B.Sreekanth (STAR STORM) reported that his mount lugged out during the race. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Trainer Karthik G. was questioned regarding the poor performance of STAR STORM. The Trainer stated that the filly had run a good Mock race in which she had not hung out, on the basis of which he had fancied her and he was disappointed with her performance. He added that he was unable to point out any specific reason for the poor performance except that the horse was hanging out and did not show any interest in this race. To another question, he added that the filly was sound after the race. The explanation was noted for future reference.

After the race, NANINA was found to be sore by the left hind leg and also had a cut injury at the right hind pastern. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, STAR STORM and DANCING MONEY were found to be sound.

 

The post race urine sample of the winners of the  2nd, 4th, 8th & 10th race, viz. COMMANDER, ELENA, CAPRIOLE & WARRIOR PRINCE,  as also that of ALMA MATER & NADIA (8th race) and the special sample of COLOURS FLYING (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
