RACE NO.1(62)
– THE STAR WISH PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres
– 11 Runners
SHINNING NOON (D. A. Naik) was brought in to the paddock sporting a Tongue
Strap. Permission to use the same was not obtained. As such the Tongue Strap
was removed before the filly left the paddock and Trainer C. Rajendra has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.
POWERHAUS (Dashrath
Singh) was brought in to the paddock sporting a Tongue Strap. Permission to use
the same was not obtained. As such the Tongue Strap was removed before the
filly left the paddock and Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.
ABBEYROAD (S. J. Sunil) jumped out
slow, losing about a length at the start.
At the start, POWERHAUS (Dashrath Singh, dr. 10) jumped inwards and went across
MEDELLIN (C. S. Jodha, dr. 9) who was slow to begin.
Passing the 800 metres,
SHINNING NOON (D. A. Naik) was observed to have hung
out despite the Jockey’s efforts. Trainer C. Rajendra
has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the
filly.
Passing the 200 metres,
HUZZAH’S GRACE (Prashant P. Dhebe)
was observed to have hung in despite the Jockey’s efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been
asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (FANTASY STAR) reported
that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu
has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the
filly.
After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (MEDELLIN) reported that his mount hung-in in the
straight. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to
take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (POWERHAUS) reported that his mount hung-in
in the straight and passing the 100 metres his whip
came in contact with the railing and fell. The Stipendiary Stewards will be
looking into the above incident and will submit a report shortly.
The Stipendiary Stewards will be
looking into the running of this race.
After the race, KNIGHT’S QUEST was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the
Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Equine
Hospital reported that SMART VISION had right eye injury with lacrimation.
After the race, SMART VISION, FANTASY STAR, SHINNING NOON, HUZZAH’S
GRACE, POWERHAUS and MEDELLIN were trotted and found to be sound. GENERAL’S
SONG had an abrasion at the right hind fetlock and MEDELLIN had a cut injury at
the right fore coronet.
RACE NO.2(63)
– THE PICASSO PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres
– 7 Runners
TAR HEEL (A.Imran
Khan) reared up and dislodged its rider as he was rolling behind the starting
gate and got lose. The colt was caught within the vicinity of the starting
point.
Passing the
800 metres, HANLON’S RAZOR (J. Chinoy)
was observed to have brushed the rails.
The Sr. V.O.
reported that HANLON’S RAZOR was examined at the stables in the morning on
27/08/2017 and was found to be sore by the right fore
leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting
to race.
After the race
MAGIC DUST was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(64)
– THE HER MAJESTY TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres
– 6 Runners
MULTIGLORY (C. S. Jodha)
jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
After the race, SEVERUS was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the
Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, WINTER RENAISSANCE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(65)
– THE NANA RAGHUNATH TROPHY:(About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners
At the request of Jockey T. S. Jodha, his mount STAR WARS was examined by the Club’s Sr.
V.O. who certified him fit to race.
STAR WARS jumped out throwing its head
thereby losing about a length at the start.
At the start, STALLONE (C. S. Jodha, dr. 7) jumped outwards on to FINE TUNE (R. Shelar, dr. 8).
Passing the 600 metres,
AURELIA (Santosh G.) shifted out and carried
PANDEMONIUM (N. S. Parmar) outwards.
Approaching the 200 metres, STALLONE (C. S. Jodha)
shifted in on to ASCENSION (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. After the race, on
questioning, Jockey C. S. Jodha stated that his mount
hung in despite his efforts. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas
has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the
gelding.
After the race, STAR WARS was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the
Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Equine
Hospital reported that STAR WARS had right eye injury (corneal ulcer and
opacity).
After the race, STALLONE and
WHOOPSIDAISY were trotted and found to be sound. STALLONE had lost its right fore shoe.

– THE STAR WISH PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners
VOULEZ VOUS (N. B. Kuldeep)
jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to
give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the
Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race
At the start, GOOD THING (Dashrath Singh, dr. 10) jumped inwards on to HARMONY OF THE
SEA (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.
9).
Soon after the start, KING OF KILLEN (Neeraj Rawal) jumped inwards on
to KISS FROM A ROSE (K. Nazil, dr. 11) who in turn
shifted in and made contact with GOOD THING (Dashrath
Singh).
Passing the 200 metres,
WAY AHEAD (A. Imran Khan) lugged in on to RAPID GIRL
(A. Sandesh). On questioning Jockey A. Imran Khan stated that his mount hung in despite his
efforts. Trainer C. D. Katrak has been asked to take
remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the
race, HARMONY OF THE SEA and ICE ANGEL were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(67)
– THE PUNE CITY GOLD CUP (GR.3): (About) 1600 Metres – 8 Runners
MRS. PATMORE
was permitted to be withdrawn.
On arrival at the gates, TRAHERNE (C.
S. Jodha) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who
certified him fit to race.
JEFFERSON (Dashrath
Singh) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.
ALAINDAIR was declared to run with
bandages, however, the gelding raced without the bandages. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.
After the race, JEFFERSON was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s
V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.7(68)
– THE GOLDEN EDITION PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres
– 13 Runners
At the start, LILAC TIME (N. B. Kuldeep, dr. 3) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head.
Passing the 500 metres,
LILAC TIME (App. N. B. Kuldeep) shifted in under
urgings thereby tightening EMILIA ROMAGNA (N. S. Parmar)
along the rails. App. N. B. Kuldeep has been fined
Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, App. N. B., Kuldeep (LILAC TIME) reported that his reins slipped
passing the 200 metres. App. N. B. Kuldeep has been cautioned and asked to be more careful in
the future.
After the race, Jockey R. Ajinkya (MULTISTAR) reported that his mount hung-in
throughout the race. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been
asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, Jockey D. S. Daman
(FENCING) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked
to take remedial measures.
The Sr. V.O. reported that after
finishing the race, EMILIA ROMAGNA showed signs of distress. After First Aid
treatment, the filly was sent to the Equine Hospital for further management.
After the race, FENCING, ADELE and
MULTISTAR were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.8(69)
– THE JAIDEV PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres
– 13 Runners
At the request
of Trainer Faisal A. Abbas, CRACKLIN’ ROSIE was
examined at 1115 hours on 26/08/2017 and was found to be sore by the left hind
leg. As such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on
Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O.
before next accepting to race.
WIND CRAFT (N. B. Kuldeep)
and DANCING PRINCE (M. Ayyar) were reluctant to be
stalled. SENSEX (P. Trevor) was restless in the stall and not allowing the
rider to settle. Trainers Sangramsinh N. Joshi, M. Narredu and Imtiaz A. Sait have been asked to give their respective charge more
gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning
starting trials, before next accepting to race.
HIROHAMA (T. S. Jodha)
jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
At the start, DANCING PRINCE (App. M. Ayyar, dr. 3) shifted out and made contact with INDIAN
SERENADE (Dashrath Singh, dr. 4).
Passing the 700 metres,
THE CIVILIAN (S. A. Amit) shifted in on to
STREETJAMMER (J. Chinoy) who in turn shifted in
tightening WIND CRAFT (N. B. Kuldeep) along the
rails. Jockey S. A. Amit has been cautioned.
Approaching the 300 metres, STREETJAMMER (J. Chinoy)
shifted out forcing THE CIVILIAN (S. A. Amit)
outwards on to SENSEX (P. Trevor) who had to be checked. Jockey J. Chinoy has been fined Rs. 3,000/-.
After the race, App. S. A. Amit (THE CIVILIAN) reported that his mount hung in
throughout the race. On viewing the replay it was observed that the Apprentice
had not changed his whip hand despite his mount hanging in. App. S. A. Amit has been cautioned, further Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures.
An enquiry has been initiated into the
running and riding of STREETJAMMER (J. Chinoy) and a
report will be submitted shortly.
The Equine Hospital reported that

MASTER OF TRINITY had right eye injury (corneal opacity).
After the race, THE CIVILIAN, INDIAN
SERENADE, SENSEX and WIND CRAFT were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(70)
– THE MARIINSKY PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres
– 17 Runners
After being stalled, LORD ARAZAN (P.
S. Chouhan) rushed the front gates. The gelding was
taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race.
ROYAL CLASSIC (Nirmal
Jodha) and RARE SILVER (J. E. Pereira) were restless
in the stall and not allowing their riders to settle. Trainers Adhirajsingh Jodha and Imtiaz A. Sait have been asked to
give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction
of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
RICH N RARE (N. B. Kuldeep)
jumped out slow losing considerable ground at the start. ELSA (T. S. Jodha) jumped out and thereafter did not raise an effective
gallop. Trainers Narendra Lagad
and Subhag Singh have been asked to give their
respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the
Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
JARAMA (S. A. Amit)
and D’ACCORD (Neeraj Rawal)
jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths each at the start.
At the start, AINRA (App. M. Ayyar, dr. 1) and ZABISCO (App. K. Nazil,
dr. 2) jumped outwards and inwards respectively and made contact.
At the start, LORD ARAZAN (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 4) jumped outwards on to ROYAL CLASSIC (Nirmal Jodha, dr. 5).
At the start, SUDARSHAN CHAKRA (Bhawani Singh, dr. 8) jumped outwards on to JACK DAN (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr. 9).
Soon after the start, D’ACCORD (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out onto
JARAMA (App. S. A. Amit) who had to be checked.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal has
been cautioned.
After the race, RARE SILVER was
trotted and found to be sound.

urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 5th, 6th,
8th and 9th race, viz. KNIGHT’S QUEST, REGAL SHOT,
ALAINDAIR, VISTANA and AINRA, as also that of YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY (6th
race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

MORNING TRACK WORK ON 23rd
AUGUST, 2017:
The Sr. V.O. reported that after
morning track work on 23rd August, 2017 ROSELLA was observed to have
broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the mare is not to race for
the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s
V.O. before next accepting to race.
