At the start, VICTOIRE (I.Pasha, dr.5) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to TELL ME MORE (Shrikant Kamble, dr.4) who had also jumped awkwardly outwards.
After the race, VIVA ZAPATA was found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(28) – THE CARBON STAR PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 7 Runners
ADAM’S SPIRIT (R.Vaibhav) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Jockey R.Vaibhav (ADAMS SPIRIT) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight and after passing 100 metres marker, hampered the running of STELLA (A Sandesh). Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. Nevertheless, Jockey R.Vaibhav has been asked to exercise proper control over his mounts in the future.
Jockey Dashrath Singh (ALLEGIANCE) reported that his mount hit the Gate at jump out and broke one of its tooth and was bleeding from its mouth. He further added that the gelding lugged-in in the straight. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that ALLEGIANCE had returned sound but having a gum injury and broken upper incisor tooth.
Jockey A.Sandesh (STELLA) reported that his Instructions were to be in front or in 2nd/3rd position. He added that the filly was drawn on the outside and after the start she did not get into effective strides and could not be positioned as instructed. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that STELLA had returned sound but having an abrasion at the left hind coronet
App Nikhil Bhujbal (ZAFIRAH) has been cautioned for travelling on the Main Track near 200 metres whereby the filly was unbalanced for a few strides.
After the race, ADAMS SPIRIT was found to be sound. EMERALD FORTUNE was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind cannon and ZAFIRAH had a cut injury at the left fore fetlock.
RACE NO.3(29) – THE SECRET ROMEO PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – 6 Runners
AUGUSTUS (Neeraj Rawal) was reluctant to be stalled and also lost about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Near 700 metres, SWIFT MEMORIES (Dashrath Singh) was tightened for room as SUGAR LOAF (N.S.Parmar) shifted in. Jockey N.S.Parmar has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
Jockey N.S.Parmar (SUGAR LOAF) reported that his Instructions were to be well up but the gelding was not good enough to be positioned as such. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that no abnormality was detected.
After the race, HIDDEN GOODNESS and RUNNING SUN were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(30) – THE PENNYWISE TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners
At the start, PHELPS (R.Vaibhav, dr.7) jumped awkwardly inwards and tightened VEENA’S STAR (Kavraj Singh, dr.6).
Travelling some distance from the start, SANTA CATERINA (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted in and tightened BRAZIL (N.S.Parmar) who lost position. Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
Near 1300 metres, DIXIE DELIGHT (C.S.Jodha) suddenly shifted in and hampered the running of BROWN DYNAMITE (I.Pasha). Jockey C.S.Jodha explained that his mount lugged in suddenly at that stage, as such, Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Near 1000 metres, BROWN DYNAMITE (I.Pasha) shifted out as the gelding raced keen and caused SANTA CATERINA (Malcolm Kharadi) to travel wide, who in turn forced DEMONIC (Abhishek Habbu) to travel wider.
After the race, SANTA CATERINA was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore fetlock. BROWN DYNAMITE, DEMONIC and SYDNEY were found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(31) – THE ATOMIC PRINCE PLATE : (About) 1200 Metres – 7 Runners
NEPTUNE’S OCEAN (M.A.Roushan) veered out after the start. This being the first run of the filly, Trainer S.K.Sunderji has only been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
When REMEMBER ME was brought into the Parade Ring, Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar, the declared rider, observed that the saddle on REMEMER ME was not his. The correct saddle was applied on the gelding. During the Enquiry, it was revealed that Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait had applied the saddle of Jockey Dashrath Singh, the declared Rider for GARARO who was a runner in the 6th race. Both the saddles were for Horses with saddle cloth number 2 and hence the swap of the saddles took place. After enquiring from all, both the Jockeys, A.Ashhad Asbar and Dashrath Singh have been cautioned for leaving their saddles unattended and Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been cautioned for not ensuring that the correct saddle was carried for saddling.
NEPTUNE’S OCEAN (M.A.Roushan) jumped out awkwardly and the Jockey tried to control the filly and tucked on the left rein due to which the filly drifted outwards. The explanation of Jockey M.A.Roushan that the filly had soft mouth and was having her first run and was a bit scared possibly due to the Pacifiers was noted and he has been advised to be more careful in the future.
After the race, HAIL THE KING was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern and ZORAAVAR had a cut injury at the right hock. MIDNIGHT RUN was found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(32) – THE ZAHRA PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 7 Runners
After the race, ALBUURZ, EDWINA, AWESOME SMILE and MR MORRISON were found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(33) – THE DESERT LIGHT PLATE : (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners
NASERIAN (I.Pasha) was very reluctant to reach the starting point thus delaying the start. Further, after being loaded, NASERIAN broke open the front gates and bolted rider-less, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock race, before next accepting to race.
After being loaded, GATES OF HEAVEN (Dashrath Singh) reared up, flipped backwards and fell inside the gate. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to have suffered a cut injury on the right hip and abrasion on the left hip. As such, GATES OF HEAVEN was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Also, the trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Near 600 metres, GOLD NECKLACE (D.K.Ashish) received interference as STAR GAZING (M.A.Roushan) shifted in due to AURNIA (J.E.Pereira) shifting inwards. Jockey J.E.Pereira has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
After the race, HEARTHROB and NASERIAN were found to be sore by the right fore leg and left fore leg respectively. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
