RACE DAY REPORTS

(THERE WERE NO FALSE RAILS)

 

On a request from Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charges GRAND DESIGN (3rd race) and MONSIEUR STRAUSS (5th race), at his (Trainer Shyam S.Habbu’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 – THE BUD ROYALE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

Near 1000 metres, INTEQUAM (Amyn Merchant) was inconvenienced as BATHSHEBA (J.Chinoy) shifted in the process of being settled.

Passing 800 metres, PRINCE (App.Tushar Nemane) shifted out and caused interference to MACHALA (S.Sunil), who in turn went  on to CLASSIC RULER (P.Kamlesh). App.Tushar Nemane has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Passing 600 metres, INTEQUAM (Amyn Merchant) shifted out and in the process went across PRINCE (App.Tushar Nemane). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

 

Jockey K Deepesh (REWARDING) has been fined Rs.1000/- for Incompetent handling of his mount in the straight.

 

After the race, BATHSHEBA was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the left hind pastern. REWARDING, was found to be sound but having kick back injury on the right eye. MACHALA and PRINCE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 – THE MUSIC MAN PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the start, STERLING SILVER (P.Trevor) took a fly jump.

 

The saddle on EQUIANO was observed to have slipped back during the race, as such, Trainer Adil Dajee has been fined Rs.2000/-.

AUGUSTUS (Vikram Jodha) and EQUIANO (P.Kamlesh) were inclined to lug-in in the straight. Trainers S.K.Sunderji and Adil Dajee have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting with them to race.

 

After the race AUGUSTUS was found to be sound but having an abrasion at the left side saddle area. QUEEN’S CAMP had a bleeding cut injury at the left hind cannon. EQUIANO, JEWELS OF THE HILL and MACHO MAN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 – THE MUSIC MAN PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Near 600 metres, GRAND DESIGN (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process went on to ETESIAN (Ishwar Pardeshi). Jockey Malcom Kharadi has been advised to be more careful.

 

Jockey T.S.Jodha (GIBRAN) reported that his mount was inclined to hang out during the race. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, GUNS N ROSES was observed to have an upper gum injury.

 

RACE NO.4 – THE CAPRICORN TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the start, ICE GATE (P.Kamlesh, dr.2) swerved outwards and took MOON SHADOW (V.Phadke, dr.3) outwards, whereby both the horses lost ground. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race his charge ICE GATE.

 

While negotiating the bend, STAR STORM (K.Deepesh) hung out and travelled wide and in the process forced SHE’S SWEET (Akash Agarwal) outwards. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. 

 

Jockey T.S.Jodha (ANAHI) has been cautioned for looking back repeatedly in the straight.

 

After the race, ALKAZI was observed to have an abrasion at the right fore bulb of heel and MATEUS ROSE had an abrasion at the left hind pastern. SANGRIA and STAR STORM were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 – THE SPECIALIST PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 15 Runners

 

Soon after the start, KRYPTON (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in and made contact with LADY WILLINGDON (P.Kamlesh). Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been cautioned.

 

Approaching 800 metres, LADY WILLINGDON (P.Kamlesh) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of MONSIEUR STRAUSS (N.S.Parmar). After the race, Jockey N.S.Parmar reported that his mount ran erratic during the race, as such, no action was initiated against anyone.

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (WINDMILL LADY) reported that his mount lugged-in during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Hamir Singh (SEMINYAK) has been cautioned for travelling wide for no apparent reason, in the early part of the race.

 

After the race CEASARINA,  MONSIEUR STRAUSS (examined on 27/07/2012), SEMINYAK and WINDMILL LADY were found to be sound. CESARINA and LADY WILLINGDON had an abrasion at the left hind cannon.

 

RACE NO.6 – THE GIRONDE PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the start, SCHOLAR (App.Prasad) jumped out awkwardly thereby unbalancing its Rider momentarily.

 

After the race, SEA TREASURE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, VIVA LA DIVA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 – THE BUD ROYALE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the start, PURPLE MOON (Akshay, dr.1) jumped awkwardly outwards and shifted out causing a chain reaction wherein MIRACLE OF MERCY (App.S.Mosin, dr.2), NEPTUNE (Shrikant Kamble, dr.3), TWITTILLATOR (M.A.Roushan, dr.4), AMORA (Hanumant Singh, dr.5) and ZORBA (A.M.Tograllu, dr.6) were forced outwards. Soon thereafter, AMORA (Hanumant Singh) clipped the hind heels of ZORBA (A.M.Tograllu), stumbled and dislodged its Rider.  

 

Approaching 600 metres, ADVENTURER (D.K.Ashish) was steadied as FREE VERSE (A.Sandesh) shifted in and also due to the bend.

Jockey Akshay (PURPLE MOON) reported that his mount was drifting outwards during the race. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

The saddle on PUMBA (P.Trevor) was observed to have slipped back during the race, as such, Trainer Nina M. Lalvani has been fined Rs.2000/-.

 

Jockey Shrikant  Kamble (NEPTUNE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, ADVENTURER was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore and left hind coronet. AMORA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8 – THE CAPRICORN TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer M.Narredu, ANGEL’S DREAM was examined at 0945 hours on 26/07/2012 (Race day)  and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

FIREHEART (P.Trevor) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, FIREHEART (P.Trevor, dr.7) jumped awkwardly outwards and caused WISH UPON A STAR (A.M.Tograllu, dr.8) to shift out. Thereafter, WISH UPON A STAR (A.M.Tograllu) continued to drift out and carried MAHIKI (Imran Chisty, dr.9) outwards who lost ground.

 

Soon after the start, SOMETHING NEW (A.Ashhad Asbar) ran outwards thereby placing its Rider at a disadvantage. Trainer Anil Kumar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Soon after the start, MAHIKI (Imran Chisty) tried to drift out. After the race, Jockey Imran Chisty reported that his mount ran green during the race and was inclined to run out. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, BETHLEHEM, MAHIKI and SOMETHING NEW were found to be sound. MAHIKI had a wolf tooth on the right side.

 

RACE NO.9 – THE ELEGANCE PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners

 

NIGELLA (C.Rajendra) fly jumped losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

KOH SAMUI (Imran Chisty) was restless in the stall. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, KOH SAMUI (Imran Chisty, dr.2) jumped awkwardly outwards and at the same time BLUE CASPER (P.Trevor, dr.3) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with each other.

 

At the start, STORMY PRINCESS (V.Phadke, dr.8) shifted in before the Red Marker, as such Jockey V.Phadke has been cautioned.

Passing 400 metres, FOND MEMORIES (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and tightened KOH SAMUI (Imran Chisty) on to STORMY PRINCESS (V.Phadke). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount .

 

After the race, GREAT SNIPE was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore fetlock and left fore cannon. ALLEGIANCE, KOH SAMUI and NIGELLA were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.10 – THE ALLEY CAT PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Jockey P.Trevor (GLORIA) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, MATILDA was observed to have a lower gum injury. CLOUD COVER was found to be sound.

 

The post race urine sample of the winners of the 4th, 8th, 9th & 10th race viz. ANAHI, LUCKY RED, FOND MEMORIES & SCINTILLO and the special sample of SEA TREASURE (6th race), TWITTILLATOR (7th race) and KOH SAMUI (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
