RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED FROM THEIR ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.

 

FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer M. K. Jadhav, permission was granted to Trainer S. S. Shah to saddle his charges EXUMA in the 1st race, JETFIRE in the 4th race & FORTUNATE SON in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer M. K. Jadhav’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer S. Padmanabhan, permission was granted to Trainer Subhag Singh to saddle his charge SPLENDIDO in the 1st race, at his own (Trainer S. Padmanabhan’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain, permission was granted to Trainer Dallas Todywalla to saddle his charges ARIYANA STAR in the 4th race & ART COLLECTOR in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer S. Waheed, permission was granted to Trainer Vijay Kasbekar to saddle his charge BELIEVE in the 3rd race, at his own (Trainer S. Waheed’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, permission was granted to Trainer Himmat Singh to saddle his charges MULTIVERSE & KANYA RASHI in the 1st race and SANDS OF DUBAI & RED MIST in the 3rd race at his own (Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (131) – THE RADHA SIGTIA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

On arrival at the starting gate, MULTIVERSE (Nirmal Jodha) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race.

 

DASH (Yash Narredu, dr.6) planted in the stall thereby taking no practical part in the race. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MULTIVERSE & KANYA RASHI were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (132) – THE RAJPIPLA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 4

RACE NO.3 (133) – THE AMAZING MAURITIUS CUP: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

At the start, BELIEVE (Abhishek Mhatre, dr.4) jumped outwards and went across LAND OF PLENTY (App. Ramswarup, dr.5) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

It was observed that passing the 300 metres, the whipping action of Jockey Abhishek Mhatre (BELIEVE) was incorrect. After the race Jockey P. Trevor (RED MIST) brought the same to the attention of the Stipendiary Stewards, After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Abhishek Mhatre has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, JAGGER was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (134) – THE P. A. D'AVOINE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 11

 

After being stalled, MAJORELLA BLUE (App. Ramswarup, dr.11) ducked under the front gate, subsequently, the gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to have injuries on both sides of the withers. As such, the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

ATTAINED (T. S. Jodha, dr.9) planted in the stall thereby taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy has been asked to give her charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race. After the race, Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy complained about the loading pattern, the Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

 At the start, DAULAT MAI (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.2) jumped outwards and made contact with NELSON RIVER (App. Haridas Gore, dr.3).

 

At the start, WALTER (A. Sandesh, dr.4) jumped outwards at the same time CHAMPAGNE SMILE (App. N. Bhosale, dr.6) jumped inwards thereby bumping inconveniencing DEMETRIUS (P. Trevor, dr.5) drawn between them.

 

After the race, WALTER & ARIYANA STAR were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (135) – THE  KRASNY CUP: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

AXLROD (T. S. Jodha, dr. 3) was reluctant to the stalled. In view of the same and a similar behavior of the gelding in its previous outing, Trainer Behram Cama has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

After being stalled LAZARUS (Vivek G., dr.8) reared up in the stall thereby injuring Jockey Vivek G. On questioning Jockey Vivek G. stated that he would not be able to take part in the race, as such the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starters order. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing the 1200 metres, ART COLLECTOR (A. Sandesh) shifted out thereby carrying GOLDEN GLOW (Antony Raj S.) marginally outwards. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

 

It was observed that GOLDEN GLOW (Antony Raj S.) shifted out under the use of whip and the rider persisted with the whip in his right hand. As such, Jockey Antony Raj S. has been fined Rs.3,000/- for failing to take corrective measures.

 

Jockey S. J. Sunil (EATON SQUARE) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his fist offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

RACE NO.6 (136) – THE RAJCOOMAR GUJADHUR MEMORIAL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

 

At the start, ANAIRA (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.5) threw its head up and jumped outwards.

 

At the start, PURPLE MARTINI (Neeraj Rawal, dr.6) jumped outwards at the same OH KAY (S. Sunil, dr.7) jumped inwards and they made contact thereafter PURPLE MARTINI shifted out and made contact with RISING POWER (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.4).

 

At the start, THE SENGOL QUEEN (App. S. Siddharth, dr.8) jumped outwards and made contact with LUMINOSITY (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.9).

 

Soon After the start, LION KING (T. S. Jodha) shifted in under urgings at the same time MISS MAGIC (Amyn Merchant) shifted out and they made contact.

 

Approaching the 1200 metres, MOMENT OF MADNESS (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in onto THE SENGOL QUEEN (App. S. Siddharth) who further shifted in thereby bumping and inconveniencing RISING POWER (App. Aditya Waydande) and ZACAPA (Santosh G.). After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 600 metres, LIGHTNING BLAZE (App. N. Bhosale) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing LUMINOSTY (Prashant P. Dhebe) thereafter passing the 400 metres LIGHTNING BLAZE further shifted in onto BETSY (App. Bharat Singh) who in turn shifted in onto LUMINOSITY (Prashant P. Dhebe) who had to check and drop back. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, App. N. Bhosale has been suspended for one race day i.e. on 20th March 2025 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

After the race, Jockey S. Sunil (OH KAY) weighed in 63 Kg. i.e. 1.5 Kg. over the weight at which he had weighed out i.e. 61.5 Kg. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, PURPLE MARTINI & ANAIRA were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st & 3rd race, viz. EXPEDITE & MIGHTY SPARROW and the special samples of TREASURE GOLD (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

 

The urine and blood samples of the LORD AND MASTER (5th race), was collected for detection of prohibited substances.
