RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT AND 9 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE

 

On a request from Trainer Mansoor Shah, permission was granted to Trainer Shazaan Shah to saddle his charges ROYSTON ROCK (1st race), HIGHLAND WIND (1st race) & TEODOR MONTE (2nd race), at his own (Trainer Mansoor Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(142) –  THE GOLFING PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the start, USTAD PEDRO (N. S. Parmar, dr.8) jumped outwards on to HIGHLAND WOODS (App. Gagandeep Mann, dr.9). Thereafter, EBONY (Neeraj Rawal, dr7) shifted out thereby tightening USTAD PEDRO (N. S. Parmar) who had to be steadied. 

 

Soon after the start, ABRAXAS (App. Aniket Karande) shifted in and cut across BRAVE (App. P. S. Kaviraj) and TRUE GRIT (App. M. Ayyar) and thereafter collided with the railing thereby unbalancing the rider. Due to this incident, TRUE GRIT had to be checked. On being questioned after the race, App Aniket Karande stated that his left rein had slipped due to which his mount veered in.  In view of the lapse on part of Apprentice Aniket Karande, he has been suspended for 2 Race Days for careless riding (dates shall be intimated in due course) (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he has been referred back to the Apprentice School to improve his riding skills.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, ABRAXAS (App. Aniket Karande) shied outwards, due to which BRAVE (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out on to EBONY (Neeraj Rawal), who in turn shifted out thereby inconveniencing HIGHLAND WOODS (App. Gagandeep Mann) causing the latter to be checked. Due to this incident, USTAD PEDRO (N. S. Parmar) was also inconvenienced.

 

Approaching the 700 metres, TRUE GRIT (App. M. Ayyar) brushed against the rails and unbalanced its rider also inconveniencing ROYSTON ROCK (N. B. Kuldeep) who was travelling alongside.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that BRAVE had injury to both eyes (sore, lacrimation).

 

After the race, TRUE GRIT was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore cannon and HIGHLAND WOODS had an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. TRANSFORM was found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.2(143) –  THE ASSESSED PLATE (DIV.II)  : (About) 1400 Metres – 14 Runners

 

Trainer C. Rajendra has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late declaration in respect of his charge DESTINED FOR GLORY.

 

SOLO MISSION (App. A. Prakash) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. S. A. Amit, dr.4) jumped outwards and at the same time HIGHLAND WIND (Neeraj Rawal, dr.6) jumped inwards thereby tightening DESTINED FOR GLORY (App. M. Ayaar, dr.5). Thereafter, HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. S. A. Amit) further shifted out thereby tightening HIGHLAND WIND (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be checked. After questioning, App. S. A. Amit has been cautioned.

 

At the start, VELVET VIBES (Shrikant Kamble, dr. 12) jumped outwards on to SOLO MISSION (App. A. Prakash, dr. 13) who was slow to begin.

 

Soon after the start, CECELIA (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in thereby clipping the heels of HANLON’S RAZOR (Amyn Merchant) and had to be steadied.

 

Approaching the Red Marker, WHOOPSIDAISY (App. N. Nadeem) shifted out thereby tightening and inconveniencing HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. S. A. Amit) causing the latter to be checked. App N. Nadeem has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

Passing the Red Marker, SAFFRON FLOWER (Santosh G.) shifted in and went across HANLON’S RAZOR (Amyn Merchant) who had to be checked.

 

Passing the 400 metres, VELVET VIBES (Shrikant Kamble) shifted out under urgings and made contact with HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. S. A. Amit) forcing it outwards. After questioning, Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, TEODOR MONTE (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out on to JACK FLASH (N. S. Parmar), who in turn shifted out on to CECELIA (App. A. S. Peter). Jockey N. B. Kuldeep has been cautioned.

 

From the 200 metres, HANLON’S RAZOR (Amyn Merchant) was observed to have weakened and also maintained an erratic course due to which MR. HONEY (C. S. Jodha) who was racing on its haunches, was inconvenienced.

 

After the race, HUZZAH’S GRACE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. Also, the mare had an abrasion at the right hind cannon. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that CECELIA had left eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, LILIBETH was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore coronet and JACK FLASH had lost its left fore shoe. HANLON’S RAZOR, HIGHLAND WIND and CECELIA (examined on 26/10/2019) were found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.3(144) –  THE STAR SHINE PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1200 Metres –  10 Runners

 

At the start, STAR COMRADE (App. A. Prakash, dr.8) jumped inwards and made contact with CORMORANT (S. Zervan, dr.7).

 

Soon after the start, FLOWER DUST (Yash Narredu) shifted out under urgings and went across ODESSA (App. Gagandeep Mann), forcing it outwards on to TILL END OF TIME (N. S. Parmar). After questioning, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

Soon after the start, UNTITLED (Hanumant Singh) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing HARMONY OF THE SEA (App. Raghuveer Singh).  Jockey Hanumant Singh has been fined Rs, 2,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (FLOWER DUST) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. As such, Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, Jockey S. Zervan (CORMORANT) reported that in the straight he was held up for room.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that PABLO had left eye injury (sore), CORMORANT had left eye injury (sore, corneal opacity, ulcer) and HARMONY OF THE SEA had injury to both eyes (sore, lacrimation, white spot on the cornea in both eyes)

 

After the race, PABLO and FLOWR DUST (examined on 26/10/2019) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(145) –  THE SHAMU CHAVAN TROPHY: (About) 2400 Metres –  8 Runners

 

The Equine Hospital reported that GOLD MEDALIST had right eye injury (sore, lacrimation) and CHEZZA had left eye injury (sore).

 

RACE NO.5(146) –  THE GENERAL RAJENDRASINHJI MILLION: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners

 

The Equine Hospital reported that NEKHBET had right eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, MYSTIC BAY was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.6(147) –  THE DELHI RACE CLUB CUP: (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Approaching the 1000 metres, TITANIUM (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out and went across DESPACITO (A. Sandesh) and thereafter further shifted out and cut across DANCING JADE (T. S. Jodha) who clipped the heels of TITANIUM and stumbled thereby unbalancing its rider. Due to this incident, TAKE IT EASY (Amyn Merchant) also had to be checked. After questioning, Jockey N. B. Kuldeep has been suspended for 2 Race Days for careless riding (dates shall be intimated in due course) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

Approaching the 500 metres, SANDRA’S SECRET (App. Raghuveer Singh) shifted out due to which RIGHTEOUS (N. S. Parmar) had to be checked.

 

Passing the 400 metres, Jockey A. Sandesh (DESPACITO) was observed to have forced a passage thereby bumping and inconveniencing SANDRA’S SECRET (App. Raghuveer Singh). Jockey A. Sandesh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 250 metres, MEMORABLE MEMORIES (App. S. A. Amit) was observed to have shifted out and at the same time MIKAYLA’S PRIDE (Yash Narredu) shifted in and they made contact. After the race, App. S. A. Amit reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that TITANIUM had right eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, MEMORABLE MEMORIES was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind pastern and SANDRA’S SECRET had an abrasion at the right hind coronet.

 

RACE NO.7(148) –  THE  STAR SHINE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

 

Approaching the 600 metres, EL COMANDANTE (App. Gagandeep Mann) was observed to have lost its footing, stumbled and fell along with the rider.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that EL COMANDANTE had a fall at the 600 metre marker and was lying with twisted neck. Despite the First Aid treatment, the gelding did not survive.

 

Passing the 250 metres, DOUBLE NINE (App. A. Prakash) was observed to have lost its footing on its own. Also, App. A. Prakash’s reins were observed to have slipped which he regained soon.

 

In the final stages of the race, NAMAQUA (A. Sandesh) shifted in and bumped SLAM DUNK (App. P. Shinde). In view of the erratic behavior of the gelding, Trainer M. K.  Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures and show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting with him to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that TURMERIC TOWER had left eye injury (sore, corneal ulcer, lacrimation), AURELIA had injury to both eyes (sore) and ARC SHINE had injury to both eyes (left eye sore, corneal ulcer)

 

After the race, NAMAQUA was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.8(149) –  THE ASSESSED PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres –  14 Runners

 

On the arrival at the start DIREWOLF was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O at the request of Jockey Yash Narredu and was certified fit to race. However, since Jockey Yash Narredu was not comfortable with the trotting of his mount, after consultation with the Chief Stipe, DIREWOLF was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order.

 

At the start, SIXTH EMPEROR (T. S. Jodha, dr. 6) jumped outwards onto NIGHTFALL (Akshay, dr. 7) who in turn shifted out on to GANDALF (App. K. Pranil, dr. 8).

 

Passing the 1300 metres, NUSRAT (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in onto LAMBRETTA (App. A. Prakash) who in turn shifted in tightening WHISPERING QUEEN (App. P. S. Kaviraj) and SIXTH EMPEROR (T. S. Jodha). App. A. S. Peter and App. A. Prakash have been cautioned.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that SIXTH EMPEROR had right eye injury (sore, lacrimation) and GANDALF had left eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, DIREWOLF was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th race viz. EBONY, SILVER FLAMES, MISSING YOU and BELGRAVIA, and the special sample of PABLO (3rd race)  were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RACE NO. 131 THE PICCOLINA PLATE RUN ON SATURDAY, 12th OCTOBER, 2019

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs. 1,000/- for running his charge SHARAREH without the declared bit. Filly was declared to run with Rubber D Bit but ran sporting a Snaffel bit.

 

RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE LOSS OF WHIP BY JOCKEY AKSHAY GAIKWAD ON HIS MOUNT “DASHING IMAGE” IN RACE NO.127 – THE SIR SULTAN CHNOY TROPHY (DIV.II) RUN ON 12th OCTOBER, 2019 :

 

Jockey Akshay Gaikwad was questioned in the above connection and having heard him and having viewed the incident of the loss of whip in normal as well as slow motion, the Stipendiary Stewards were not entirely satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Akshay Gaikwad and decided to fine him a sum of Rs.2,000/-.
