THERE WERE NO FALSE RAILS.

 

On a request from Trainer Suresh Chavan, permission was granted to Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai to saddle his charges FLOODS OF FORTUNE, GATRAVAT (2nd race), DESERT EAGLE, FLASHFORWARD (5th race) and BEEMER (7th race), at his (Trainer Suresh Chavan‘s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO 1. (166) THE PENNYWISE TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 11

 

At the request of Trainer D.J.Surti, CLASSIC MONEY was examined at 1730 hours on 23/09/2011 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg and had swelling on left fore fetlock joint. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

Jockey Zameer Sayyed (TYSEA) reported that he lost his right stirrup at jump out whereby he was unbalanced and his mount shifted out on to STYLISH STROKES (C.S.Jodha), who in turn went on to STAR OF ZOLTAN (P.Trevor). He added that he regained his stirrup soon thereafter. Jockey Zameer Sayyed has been cautioned for not being alert at the Gates.

 

Near 1000 metres, TYSEA (Zameer Sayyed) drifted out and carried STAR OF ZOLTAN (P.Trevor) outwards. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Near 900 metres, LADY BLACK STAR (J.Chinoy) shifted out and caused TYSEA (Zameer Sayyed) to travel wide, who in turn forced STAR OF ZOLTAN (P.Trevor) to travel wide. Jockey J.Chinoy has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey Aadesh Kumar (BRAVE GYPSY) has been cautioned for travelling wide while negotiating he bend.

 

After the race, FLASHING SWORD was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit to by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, UCANDOIT, YOUNG OFFENDER and EVANGILIST were found to be sound. AURARIA had lost its right fore plate.

 

RACE NO 2. (167) THE SWEET MEMORIES TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres.  Runners – 7

 

FLOODS OF FORTUNE (V.Chandrakant) was inclined to lug out while negotiating the bend and travelled wide. Trainer Suresh Chavan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race SEA SHOWER was fond to be sound.

 

RACE NO 3 (168) THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.II) (About) 1000 Metres.   Runners – 12

RACE NO 4 (169) THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.I) (About) 1000 Metres.  Runners – 13

At the start, JOSEPHINE (Shammi Khan, dr.4) shifted in after an awkward jump and went on to RIVER DRAGON (V.Chandrakant, dr.3), who in turn went on to HOTTIE (Dashrath Singh, dr.2) and in the process RIVER DRAGON lost position.

 

At the start, EQUIANO (Amyn Merchant, dr.11)  jumped out awkwardly as the Jockey was holding on to the bar of the Starting Gate and jostled with CLAIM TO FAME (R.Shelar, dr.10). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

 

Near 800 metres, JOSEPHINE (Shammi Khan) was steadied as HOTTIE (Dashrath Singh) shifted out. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

 

After the race JOSEPHINE was fond to be sound. BLUE FLASH had lost its right fore plate.

 

RACE NO 5. (170) THE CHANGE OF LUCK TROPHY:  (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 11

 

The explanation of Jockey B.Prakash (BRETTON WOODS) that he had no room to ride out coming into straight and his mount ran erratic, was noted. 

 

Near 300 metres, HYM PATH (C.S.Jodha) shifted out and inconvenienced BRETTON WOODS (B.Prakash). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been cautioned.

 

MISHRI (C.Rajendra) and VELOCITA (Y.S.Srinath) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Imtiaz A Sait and Hosidar Daji have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MISHRI and BRETTON WOODS were found to be sound. VELOCITA had a cut injury above the right hind fetlock. MOUNTAIN PRINCE had lost its right fore plate.

 

RACE NO 6. (171) THE MCDOWELL SIGNATURE INDIAN ST.LEGER (GRADE 1):   (About) 2800 Metres.  Runners – 5

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu (OCEAN AND BEYOND) has been cautioned for shifting inwards in the final 200 metres and possibly making contact with MACCHUPICCHU (B.Prakash).

 

After the race, BERLUSCONI was found to be sound, having a gum injury.

 

BERLUSCONI (S.Zervan) was placed 5th by the Judge.

 

RACE NO 7. (172) THE AMOROUS KNIGHT TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres.   Runners - 14

 

FINAL ATTACK (R.K.Mahesh) lost about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, PATEK PHILIPPE (M.A.Roushan) and HOUDINI (R.Shelar) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Jockey J.Chinoy (LAURUS PRIDE) has been fined Rs 3000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey R.K.Mahesh (FINAL ATTACK) reported loss of whip near 200 metres.

 

DAUGHTEROFDESTINY (C.S.Jodha) lugged-in in the straight for a brief period. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, INSITE SOUL and WELLS FARGO were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 8. (173) THE PENNYWISE TROPHY (DIV.I):  (About) 1200 Metres.  Runners -  12

 

OCTOPAUL (Dashrath Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. TOMORROWS DREAMS (T.Atul) was restless in the Stall. Trainers Imtiaz A.Sait and H.J.Antia have been asked to give more Gate Practice to their respective charge and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, ATHOS (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in and tightened CALYPSO QUEEN (Amyn Merchant). Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey Kavraj Singh (MONEY FLASH, dr.12) has been fined Rs.3000/- for cutting across the field and he has been severely warned for the future.

 

Jockey C.S.Jodha (ADAMS VISION) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift out in the final stages of the race.

 

After the race, CALYPSO QUEEN was found to have a cut injury on the left hock. MONEY FLASH had lost its right fore plate.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 3rd, 4th and 6th race viz. IRRESISTIBLE HUNK, TITLEIST, MACCHUPICCHU and also that OCEAN AND BEYOND, ORDAINED ONE & FROST FAIRY (6th race) and the special sample of RIVER DRAGON (4th race), FLASHFORWARD, MOUNTAIN PRINCE & BRETTON WOODS (5th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
