RACE DAY REPORTS

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 1 METRE WIDE FROM 1800 METRES TILL 900 METRES AND THEREAFTER 2 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.  

 

On a request from Trainer P.Shroff, permission was granted to his Assistant Trainer, Mr. Vishal Gaikwad, to saddle his charges ZILLE ILAHI & CIRCLE OF LIFE in the 1st and 2nd race respectively, at his (Trainer P.Shroff’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Nazak Chenoy, permission was granted to Trainer Bezan Chenoy to saddle her charge CAPILANO in the 5th race, at her (Trainer Nazak Chenoy’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer J.S.Dhariwal, permission was granted to Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha to saddle his charge PANAMERA in the 6th race, at his (Trainer J.S.Dhariwal’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(95) – THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

On arrival at the start, it was noticed that the left hind plate of SUNSHINE HEART was loose. Both hind plates were removed and the filly was trotted with and without the Jockey and was found to be trotting sound, hence she was allowed to race.

 

FLAMING HEART (Altaf Sayyed) charged the front gates in anticipation. The filly was taken out of the gate and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified her fit to race.

 

Jockey D.A.Naik (SOMBRERO) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, DARK KNIGHT, FLAMING HEART, ICE ICE BABY and LUCKY RED were found to be sound. ICE ICE BABY  had an abrasion at the right hind coronet and LUCKY RED had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.2(96) – THE RAPHAELA PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer S.S.Shah, BORN FOR GLORY was examined at 1000 hours on 24/08/2013 and found to have an injury on the inside of the right fore arm, as such, the colt was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the colt from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

On the way to the start, DOMINGO (Dashrath Singh) dislodged the rider and bolted towards the winning post. After consent from the trainer, the gelding was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s order. After the race, DOMINGO was observed to have lost its right fore shoe

 

Jockey A Ashhad Asbar (FLEETWOOD MAC) reported that his mount lugged out while negotiating the bend. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

After the race FLEETWOOD MAC was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(97) – THE GLASNOST PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – 9 Runners

                                       

Near 400 metres, GIFT WRAPPED (Shrikant Kamble) shifted out due to the bend and caused BLUE KNIGHT (H.G.Rathod) to shift out and was steadied.

 

After the race, STELLA was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. JET STREAM, GIFT WRAPPED and HEAVENS KEY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(98) – THE SONALIKA PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer M.K.Jadhav, SNOW ANGEL was examined at 0930 hours on 25/08/2013 and was found to have painful swelling on the right hind fetlock and was sore by the right hind leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

RELIC HUNTER (P.Kamlesh) hung out during the race. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, BRUNELLO, MINT APPROACH, RELIC HUNTER and DREAMS R MINE were found to be sound. BARRINGO had abrasions at both the hind fetlocks and BRUNELLO had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.5(99)  – THE AEROBICA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

On arrival at the start, the girth on WILD SEA (T.S.Jodha) was observed to be broken and the same was replaced with the Club’s gear.

 

At the start, INTESAR (S.P.Ranjane) jumped out awkwardly due to which the Jockey lost his balance momentarily.

 

Jockey S.P.Ranjane (INTESAR) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for looking back repeatedly and showing Victory Sign before passing the Post.

 

After the race, ORIENTAL ROCKY was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind cannon and SUPER BOLT had an abrasion at the left hind coronet. INTESAR was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(100) – THE THREPTIN FILLIES’ & MARES’ STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1800 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Trainer J.S.Dhariwal has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge PANAMERA.

 

After the race, SONG DYNASTY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AUBURN BEAUTY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(101) – THE  DR.S.R.CAPTAIN TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

Soon after the start, MONZA (R.Vaibhav, dr.7) shifted in and went across WINGS OF GLORY (Akshay, dr.6) and then went on to JIMBO (D.K.Ashish, dr.5) who was steadied. The explanation of the Jockey that MONZA hung out and in trying to control his mount, the gelding shifted in, was noted.

 

Shortly afterwards, CATHARSIS (C.S.Jodha) shifted in and went on to RULE FOREVER (P.Kamlesh) who went on to PITBULL (S.Sunil), who in turn caused interference to SHARAARAT (Ishwar Pardeshi). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.    

 

Jockey S.Sunil (PITBULL) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for cutting across the field in the early part of the race. 

 

App.B.Nikhil (VICTORIOUS MARCH) reported that his mount lugged-out during the race, as such, Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

The bit on MONZA (R.Vaibhav) slipped to the right and was lodged on its right cheek. Jockey R.Vaibhav stated that his mount hung out during the race, as such Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, MONZA was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind bulb of heel and had broken right hind plate. JIMBO and RULE FOREVER had a cut injury at the left hock. VISIONIST and WINGS OF GLORY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(102) – THE AEROBICA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer M.Narredu, ACE CHRISTALENI was examined at 0650 hours on 23/08/2013 and found to have suffered abrasion on the left hock and cut injuries on both hind fetlock joints, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

In the process of being stalled, EARTH ORBIT (S.P.Ranjane) reared up and fell backward. The filly was examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such she was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. ADVANCE TO CONTACT (C.S.Jodha) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainers H.J.Antia and Sangramsinh N.Joshi have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Also, EARTH ORBIT has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey P.Kamlesh (MYKONOS, dr.11) has been fined Rs.2,000/- for cutting across the field soon after the start and hampering the running of ZARAR (D.A.Naik), who in turn inconvenienced ARCH DUCHESS (Imran Chisty). 

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (ARCH DUCHESS) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to drift outward under the use of the whip in the straight.

 

The saddle on ARCH DUCHESS slipped back during the race, as such, Trainer Hosidar Daji, who deputized for Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, SCARLET OF HOPE was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the left hind coronet. MYKONOS had a cut injury at the left hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.9(103) – THE GRUEZI PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

DREAM WEAVER (Shrikant Kamble) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

STAR GAZING (Vikram Jodha) lost about 2 lengths at the start.

 

HOLIDAY DANCER (S.S.Baria, dr 9) jumped towards the inside and TAJ E SHAHI (C.S.Jodha, dr. 6) jumped out awkwardly outwards, due to which STRATEGY (A.Ashhad Asbar, dr. 8) and NEW WINGS (R.Vaibhav, dr 7) were tightened.

 

Soon after the start, MAHIKI (P.Kamlesh) was steadied across the heels of TAJ E SHAHI (C.S.Jodha) and later HOLIDAY DANCER (S.S.Baria) and in the process MAHIKI carried STRATEGY (A Ashhad Asbar) outwards.

 

Near 300 metres, DREAM WEAVER (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in caused interference to STAR GAZING (Vikram Jodha). Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been cautioned.

 

Jockey Shrikant Kamble (DREAM WEAVER) reported that he lost his left stirrup on jump as the horse brushed the gates which he regained shortly.

The post race urine sample of the winner of  the 3rd, 5th, 6th 7th and 8th race, viz. PERFECT STRENGTH, INTESAR, PANAMERA, PITBULL and MYKONOS, as also that of NEONA & MAPLE STAR (6th race) and the special sample of SONG DYNASTY (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
