RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION.

RACE NO.1(86) – THE JAIDEV TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

It was observed that FLYING HALO (Vishal N. Bunde) stopped galloping at about the 200 metres. After the race, Sr. V.O. reported that the gelding was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

The Equine Hospital reported that PRECIOSO was found to have sore left eye.

RACE NO.2(87) – THE WARSAW PACT TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

Passing the 1300 metres, BUCKLEY (Dashrath Singh) shifted in onto ASHWA YUDHVIR (Amyn Merchant) along the rails, causing the latter to check and drop back. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (BUCKLEY) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, BUCKLEY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race. Further, the gelding was observed to have an injury on right fore hoof.

The Equine Hospital reported that ASHWA YUDHVIR was found to have sore left eye.

The Equine Hospital reported that SWIFT was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.3(88) – THE CAPRISCA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 11

JERUSALAM (Yash Narredu, dr.8) and BEYOND MEASURE (J. Chinoy, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths each at the start. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to give his charges more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

After the race, BANKSY & ALOYSIA were trotted and found to be sound.

After the race, WINTER AGENDA was trotted and found to be sound. Further, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, endoscopy was performed on WINTER AGENDA at the Equine Hospital and no abnormality was detected.

RACE NO.4(89) – THE DR. P. K. SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES –RUNNERS- 14

Soon after the start, MALET SPRING (H. M. Akshay) shifted in onto SWAROVSKI (Bhawani Singh) who was marginally slow to begin.

After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (DECACORN) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

The Equine Hospital reported that ENDURANCE was found to have sore right eye.

The Equine Hospital reported that IMPUNITY was found to have sore both eyes with ulcer in left eye.

RACE NO.5(90) – PARIMATCH INDIAN ST. LEGER (GRADE 1): (ABOUT) 2800 METRES – RUNNERS - 5

Jockey Akshay Kumar (DYF) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2023, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

The Equine Hospital reported that KING’S RANSOM was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.6(91) – THE COL. KAIKUSHROO MANECKJI BHARUCHA MEMORIAL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 13

GINSBURG (Amyn Merchant, dr.4) planted in the stall thereby losing considerable ground at the start. In view of above and a similar behavior of the gelding in his previous outing, Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

GALLOPING AHEAD (Akshay Kumar, dr.9) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start.

Approaching the 1300 metres, RHYTHM OF NATURE (M. S. Deora) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing BRAHMOS (S. A. Amit) who in turn shifted in onto OPUS DEI (C. S. Jodha) along the rails, causing both horses to be checked. After questioning, Jockey M. S. Deora has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

After the race, HILMA KLINT was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, the mare has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, BRAHMOS was trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that GINSBURG was found to have sore left eye.

RACE NO.7(92) – THE AMAZING GRACE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

Jockey C. S. Jodha (SOVEREIGN MASTER) was observed to have lost his whip in the final stages of the race. This being his first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2023, no action has been initiated.

After the race, JET TYPHOON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, FIDATO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

The Equine Hospital reported that JET TYPHOON was found to have sore left eye.
