FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED ABOUT 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1600 METRES TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 3 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(161) - THE INGLENOOK PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners
LAKE VIEW (A.Sandesh) reared up and hit the top bar as the start was effected, resulting in the Jockey being dislodged. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
ASHWA YODHAA (Amyn Merchant) took a fly jump thereby losing about 2 lengths at the start. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures with his charge.
Near 1100 metres, ALEJANDRA (App.Tushar Nemane) shifted in, due to which SOUND OF RIVER (App.S.Mosin) also shifted in and in turn went on to MEDIATOR (V.Phadke), who had to be checked by its rider and dropped back, due to which LOVE SUPREME (Abhishek Habbu) and SECRET WEAPON (F.Irani), who were racing behind MEDIATOR (V.Phadke), were checked. App.Tushar Nemane has been cautioned.
GREAT SNIPE (V.Chandrakant) trailed the field. Trainer Magansingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures and ensure that the gelding runs with the field in the future.
After the race, ASHWA YODHAA was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, LAKE VIEW was found to be sound but having an abrasion above the right eye and on the bridge of nostril. GREAT SNIPE was found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(162) - THE NATIONALISTIC PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 5 Runners
The Sr.V.O. reported that PEPE JUNIOR (App.Tushar Nemane) was observed to be coming sore while approaching the starting gates. On examination, the gelding was confirmed to be sore from the right fore leg. As such, PEPE JUNIOR was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
An objection was lodged by Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar, rider of EMERALD VALLEY (Placed Second) against SEA TREASURE (Dashrath Singh, Placed First). The reason being, after jump out, SEA TREASURE shifted in whereby his horse lost balance and lost stride and from second position, dropped to the last position. Thereafter, at the two furlong marker, when his horse was full of running, SEA TREASURE again shifted in and hampered his opening whereby he had to pull his horse out and this cost him a certain race.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
Near 300 metres, NATIONAL GLORY (App.Nikhil Bhujbal) was ridden in check due to lack of room on the inside of STARLIGHT MAGIC (A.Sandesh).
STARLIGHT MAGIC (A.Sandesh) lugged out during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
RACE NO.3(163) – THE INGLENOOK PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners
Jockey J.E.Pereira (ZOE) reported that his filly lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Jockey T.S.Jodha (LAURUS PRIDE) was cautioned for shifting in soon after the start.
After the race, SUKI SUKI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, ZOE and SHADOWS OF TIME (examined on 24/09/2012) were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(164) - THE RAO SAHEB KEDARI GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 7 Runners
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, TITLEIST was examined at 1000 hours on 22/09/2012 and was found to be sore by left fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
At the start, MATILDA (D.K.Ashish) jumped awkwardly inwards, due to which the Jockey lost his right stirrup which he regained shortly. VIVA LA DIVA (Akshay) jumped out awkwardly and was inconvenienced as MATILDA (D.K.Ashish) shifted inwards.
Approaching 600 metres, ALBUURZ (App.S.Mosin) was hampered for a clear run as NATIVE LADY (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.
ALBUURZ (App.S.Mosin) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
The saddle on VIVA LA DIVA was observed to have slipped in the final 200 metres and after the race the saddle shifted completely whereby the Jockey was dislodged. Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.2000/-.
After the race, MATILDA was observed to have a gum injury. VIVA LA DIVA and ALBUURZ were found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(165) - THE RAMBUS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 13 Runners
MAGDALENA (Akshay) planted, losing over a distance at the start. As the filly had behaved in a similar manner in her earlier run this season, Trainer Vinseh has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race.
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, passing 200 metres, MOUNTAIN SONG (S.Zervan, placed First) shifted in and came in contact with AFROJACK (Imran Chisty, placed Second) which may have cost him the race.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to maintain the Order of Placing as declared by the Judge.
Passing 400 metres, CONZTANZA (App.S.Mosin) weakened, due to which FOLLOW ME (Shammi Khan) who was following, was awkwardly placed behind the heels of CONZTANZA and clipped the former’s hind heels and stumbled.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (HIDDEN GODESS) has been cautioned for exhibiting an exaggerated movement of his whip passing 600 metres.
Jockey S.Zervan (MOUNTAIN SONG) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift-in in the straight under the use of the whip.
After the race, CONZTANZA, MARENGO, SAN RAFAEL and MAGDALENA were found to be sound. CONZTANZA had an abrasion above the left hock.
RACE NO.6(166) – THE VILLOO C.POONAWALLA GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres
– 12 Runners
ORIENTAL MASTI (Amyn Merchant) was reluctant to reach the start. SEA PEARL (A.Sandesh) lost about 2 lengths at the start. Trainers Bezan Chenoy and Altaf Hussain have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge.
SCARLET REGENT (B.Sreekanth), GATES OF HEAVEN (K.P.G.Appu) and SEA PEARL (A.Sandesh) hung out during the race. Trainers Karthik G, Mansoor Shah & Altaf Hussain have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race them.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (BUNGA BUNGA) reported that his mount ran green.
Jockey C.S.Jodha (ALKAZI) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
After the race, ALKAZI was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern. BUNGA BUNGA, GATES OF HEAVEN and INDISCRETE (examined on 24/09/2012) were found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(167) – THE S.A.POONAWALLA MULTI-MILLION (GR.2): (About) 1600 Metres – 9 Runners
At the request of Trainer P Shroff, STORM TRACKER was examined at 0825 hours on 21/09/2012 at the Equine Hospital and was found to have a cut injury on the right upper eyelid, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer has to obtain a fitness certificate for the horse from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with him to race.
Near 700 metres, DEFINING MOMENT (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and hampered the running of ANAHI (T.S.Jodha). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.1000/-.
After the race, BIZARRO, DEFINING MOMENT and ANAHI were found to be sound.
DEFINING MOMENT (Amyn Merchant) was placed fifth and RED BARON (B.Sreekanth) was placed sixth in this race.
RACE NO.8(168) - THE ELOISE PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 14 Runners
At the request of Trainer Sanjay Kolse, ROESTI was examined at 0800 hours on 21/09/2012 and was found to have swelling on the left hind above fetlock and was sore by left hind leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Jockey P.Trevor (AMBROSIA) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.
ROYAL CREST (Akshay) shifted in before the Red Marker and cut across the field on his inside and then again shifted in and hampered the running of CRRISP (Abhishek Habbu). Jockey Akshay has been fined Rs.2000/-.
BONOBO (Nirmal Jodha) lugged out while negotiating the bend. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
After the race, KING WARRIOR, STAR PRINCE and BONOBO were found to be sound. KING WARRIOR had an abrasion at the left fore bulb of heel and AMBROSIA had lost her right hind plate
RACE NO.9(169) - THE RAMBUS PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners
At the start, EL WONDER (C.S.Jodha, dr.10) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to QUEEN’S CAMP (S.K.Jadhav, dr.9) who went on to WIND CRAFT (Amyn Merchant, dr.8), who in turn went on to MYSTIC REWARD (A.M.Tograllu, dr.7).
Jockey C.S.Jodha (EL WONDER) has been fined Rs.2000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.
After the race, MYSTIC REWARD and QUEEN’S CAMP were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 4th, 7th & 8th viz. ARABIAN FIGHTER, MATILDA, NEONA and AMBROSIA, as also that of COMMANDER & BLUE ACE (7th race), and the special sample of SUKI SUKI (3rd race) and BUNGA BUNGA (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
