RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT

 

RACE NO.1(151) –THE KUMAR R.DALAL GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 5

 

Jockey David Egan (SILVER FLAMES) caused a delay in weighing out due to which the saddle was sent late for saddling thus delaying the arrival of his mount into the Paddock. In view of the above, he has been fined Rs. 1,000/-.

 

At the start, EXCELLENT GOLD (P. S. Kaviraj, dr. 2) jumped outwards starting a chain reaction, due to which LA MAGNIFIQUE (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 3) shifted out and bumped GAZINO (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 4) causing the latter to be steadied.

 

RACE NO.2(152) – THE MYSTICAL CUP: (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 4

 

At the request of Trainer S. Waheed, GOLD MEDALIST was examined at 1030 hours on 23/02/2020 and found to have submandibular lymph node swelling on the left side, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ROGUE ONE and SIR RAMON were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(153) – THE INTERVALVE POONAWALLA LTD. MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9 

 

EL CAPITAN (David Allan) played up as the start was effected thus losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, RISING SUN (N. S. Parmar, dr. 3) jumped inwards and made contact with VIRASAT (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 2).

 

At the start, MARKET KING (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 9) jumped inwards and went across EL CAPITAN (David Allan, dr. 8) and CIRCLE OF LOVE (David Egan, dr. 7) who were marginally slow to begin.

 
Soon after the start, JOAQUIN (A. Sandesh) leaned inwards and bumped RISING SUN (N. S. Parmar) who was steadied.

 

Passing the 100 metre, ZAEIM (C. S. Jodha) leaned inwards thereby tightening VIRASAT (P. S. Chouhan) along the rails.

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (MARKET KING) reported that his mount maintained an erratic course in the straight. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, the Starter informed that the Cross Nose Band used on JOAQUIN (A. Sandesh) had broken and was found on the Track soon after the start. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been fined Rs. 1,000/- for using an unserviceable equipment on his charge.

 

After the race, EL CAPITAN was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(154) – THE POONAWALLA BREEDERS’ MULTI-MILLION (GR.1): (About) 1400 Mts –Runners- 11 

 

At the start, SUCCESSOR (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) jumped inwards and at the same time SUPER GIRL (N. S. Parmar, dr.4) jumped outwards and they made contact.

 

Soon after the start, FOREST FLAME (David Egan) shifted in on to SUCCESSOR (Neeraj Rawal), who in turn shifted in and jostled with SUPER GIRL (N. S. Parmar).

 

In the final stages of the race, SUCCESSOR (Neeraj Rawal) veered out and went across SUPER GIRL (N. S. Parmar).

 

The Sr. V. O. reported that at the request of Trainer Deepesh Narredu, his charge CALIFORNIA was scoped after the race at the Equine Hospital and found to be Grade-III EIPH. The filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FOREST FLAME was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind bulb of heel and SUCCESSOR had an abrasion at the right fore pastern.

 

RACE NO.5(155) – THE FLORRIE & FREDDY SOPHER GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 8

 

At the start, SULTAN SULEIMAN (David Egan, dr.4) jumped outwards and made contact with MAKHTOOB (C. S. Jodha, dr. 5), who inturn shifted out and bumped ARC SHINE (App. Malam Singh, dr. 6).

 

Jockey K. Nazil (SUNRISE RUBY) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the current Mumbai meeting he has been fined Rs. 5,000/-.

 

After the race, App. P. S. Kaviraj (GOLDEN HIND) reported the loss of whip passing the 250 metres. This being his 2nd offence during the current Mumbai Meeting, he has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

RACE NO.6(156) – THE DR.GOOLAM E. VAHANVATI TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 10

 

At the start, HIGHLAND LASS (David Allan, dr. 5) jumped inwards on to ETERNAL DANCER (N. S. Parmar, dr. 4).

 

Approaching the 600 metres, GODS PLAN (P. Trevor) ducked outwards thereby bumping GRAND ARCHITECT (App. P. S. Kaviraj) and forcing it outwards on to MS BOSS (Nicky Mackay). After the race, Jockey P. Trevor reported that his mount had shied outwards for no apparent reason, not giving him sufficient time to exercise control.

 

Passing the 550 metres, ALPINE DANCER (P. S. Chouhan) shifted out and had to be steadied.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, GRAND ARCHITECT (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted in thereby inconveniencing GODS PLAN (P. Trevor). App P. S. Kaviraj has been cautioned.

 

From the 350 metres, PROPERLY POSH (Neeraj Rawal) was inclined inwards. Thereafter, passing the 200 metres, PROPERLY POSH shifted in thereby tightening PULVERIZE (Bhawani Singh) and MS BOSS (Nickey Mackay). After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported his mount hung-in despite his efforts. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey David Egan (FREE GOLD) has been fined Rs. 3,000/- for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of GOD’S PLAN and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, PULVERIZE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that FURIOUS N’ FAST was examined at the stables in the morning on 24th February, 2020 and found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, PROPERLY POSH and ALPINE DANCER were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(157)–THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9 

 

On the way to the start, the bit used on PERIWINKLE (N. S. Parmar) broke which led to the rider getting dislodged and being unable to ride, as such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using an unserviceable equipment.

 

At the start, WHITE RIVER (P. Trevor, dr. 9) jumped outwards and carried SANDRA’S SECRET (C. S. Jodha, dr. 10) outwards.

 

Soon after the start, REGAL SHOT (P. S. Chouhan) leaned outwards on to PAOLITA (Nicky Mackay), who in turn shifted out and made contact with PEZULA (Neeraj Rawal).

 

In the final stages of the race, SANDRA’S SECRET (C .S. Jodha) ducked inwards and bumped TOUGH COP (App. A. S. Peter) who had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha reported that his mount hung-in throughout the race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that KANADARIO stopped galloping at the 200 metres marker. On examination, swelling on the left point of hip was noticed. The gelding was sent to the Equine Hospital for further investigation. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TOUGH COP and SANDRA’S SECRET were trotted and found to be sound. TOUGH COP had lost its left hind shoe and DANCE SMARTLY had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.8(158)–THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9 

 

At the start, ÉCLAIR (David Allan, dr. 7) jumped inwards onto DIVIJA (C. S. Jodha, dr. 6) who in turn shifted in and went across SUPREME BEING (Ishwar Pardeshi, dr. 5) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi (SUPREME BEING) has been fined Rs. 3,000/- for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

App. A. S. Peter (HONOURABLE EYES) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the current Mumbai meeting he has been fined Rs. 5,000/-.

 

After the race, PRINCIPESSA was observed to have lost its left hind shoe.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 7th and 8th race, viz. FANFARE, REGAL SHOT and ÉCLAIR, and the urine and blood sample of JOAQUIN (Winner, 3rd Race) and ROREST FLAME, GOLDEN OAKS and LOMBARDY (Winner, Second & Third Placed – 4th race), and the special sample of EL CAPITAN (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
