RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT AND 5.5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE

 

On a request from Trainer S.Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge MAGISTERO in the 2nd race, at his own (Trainer S.Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Subhag Singh,  permission was granted to Trainer Nosher Cama to saddle his charge HIGHLAND PRINCESS in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer Subhag Singh’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(100) –  THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Trainers Dallas Todywalla , Narendra Lagad  and Karthik Ganapathy had declared full Jockeys on their respective charge BEEMER, MOUNT OLYMPUS and LAMBRETTA in this race which was restricted to Apprentice Jockeys. Subsequently, Tr.Dallas Todywalla declared App.Raghuveer Singh on BEEMER,  Trainer Narendra Lagad declared App.A.S.Peter on MOUNT OLYMPUS and Trainer Karthik Ganapathy declared App.A.Prakash on LAMBRETTA. The three Trainers have  been fined Rs.1,000/- each for this lapse.

 

After being stalled, MYRCELLA (App.P.Vinod) played up and sat on its haunches. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified her fit to race. 

 

BEEMER (App.Raghuveer Singh) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

ON VA DANSER (App.K.Nazil) was slow out losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, MOUNT OLYMPUS (App. A. S. Peter, 4) jumped outwards and went across ON VA DANSER (App. K. Nazil, dr.5) on to MYRCELLA (App.P.Vinod dr.6). On questioning, App.A.S.Peter stated that his mount had veered out soon after the start despite his efforts. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Soon after the start, MYRCELLA (App. P. Vinod) veered out and was hesitant to raise a fluent gallop. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures and show the filly in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ORION’S BELT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ON VA DANSER was trotted and found to be sound.

 

 

RACE NO.2(101) –  THE MAGANSINGH P.JODHA TROPHY : (About) 1600 Metres – 4 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, PURE ZINC was examined at 1100 hours on 21/09/2019 and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, the horse was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, MAGISTERO (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) jumped inwards thereby tightening QUESTIONABLE (C. S. Jodha, dr.3).

 

Passing the 500 metres, Jockey S. Zervan (FLYING VISIT) was observed to have forced a passage thereby bumping and inconveniencing QUESTIONABLE (C. S. Jodha) who was momentarily unbalanced. After questioning, Jockey S. Zervan has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (ZENON) reported that his mount hung-in throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ZENON and QUESTIONABLE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(102) –  THE JANARDHAN TROPHY  : (About) 1200 Metres –  7 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer S.S.Shah, TOUGH COP  was permitted to be withdrawn from this race since the gelding had bled during morning work on 20/09/2019. The gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (LUMINOSITY) reported that his mount was erratic in the intial stages of the race and shifted in thereby brushing the rails. Thereafter, it was inclined outwards, more so in the straight. In view of the erratic behavior, Tr. H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, LUMINOSITY was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(103) –  THE NANA RAGHUNATH TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – 6 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer P.Shroff, RIGHTEOUS was examined at 1205 hours on 22/09/2019 and found to be sore by both fore legs, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, WALK THE TALK and AKINA SPEED STAR were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(104) –  THE C.A.KUTS TROPHY : (About) 1000 Metres – 14 Runners

 

EPIPHANY (Amyn Merchant) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Since EPIPHANY had behaved in a similar manner earlier, Trainer Nazzak B.Chenoy has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race.

 

CEZANNE  (Kishore Kadam) was declared to run with aluminum, both fore  high heels shoes but subsequently Tr.A.M.Jadhav informed this office that he had made an error in the declarations and wished to race his charge in plain aluminium shoes. The said permission was granted and he has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.

 

At the start, ADELE (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) jumped inwards and brushed the front gates due to which the Blinker Cowl was damaged and was flapping throughout the race.

 

Soon after the start, SKYSURFER (App. K. Nazil, dr.11) shifted out and made contact with HIGHLAND PRINCESS (T. S. Jodha, dr.12). Thereafter, CEZANNE (Kishore Kadam, dr.14) shifted in under urgings went across HIGHLAND PRINCESS and made contact with SKYSURFER, due to which HIGHLAND PRINCESS had to be checked. Jockey Kishore Kadam has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching the 150 metres, HARMONY OF THE SEA (App. Raghuveer Singh) leaned inwards on to WILD FIRE (S. Zervan) who had to be checked. App. Raghuveer Singh has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 150 metres, RISING BRAVE (Bhawani Singh) shifted out under urgings and made contact with CEZANNE (Kishore Kadam). Jockey Bhawani Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/.

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (RISING BRAVE) reported that his mount hung-in throughout the race despite his efforts. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

Jockey C.S.Jodha (TRUE GRIT) reported loss of whip at about 50 metres from the winning post. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into this incident and submit a report shortly.

 

After the race, HARMONY OF THE SEA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ALPINE EXPRESS had left eye injury (sore eye, lacrimation, corneal ulcer).

 

After the race, ALPINE EXPRESS was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(105) –  THE  INDIAN ST.LEGER (GR.1): (About) 2800 Metres – 4 Runners

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ROBERTA had right eye injury (sore eye) and GOLDEN FORTUNE had injuries to both eyes (sore eyes).

 

After the race, BUSHTOPS and ROBERTA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(106) –  THE D.D.PILLAI TROPHY : (About) 2000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

After the race, MR.HONEY was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 4th and 7th race viz. FLYING VISIT, RAINBOW TROUT and SADDLE THE WIND  and the special sample of ODESSA and HARMONY OF THE SEA (5th race) and BUSHTOPS (6th race) and the Urine and Blood Samples of ADJUDICATE, ROBERTA and GOLDEN FORTUNE (Winner, Second Placed and Third Place – 6th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
