RACE DAY REPORTS

THERE WERE NO FALSE RAILS.

 

On a request from Trainer Narendra Lagad, permission was granted to Trainer Vinay Lagad to saddle his charges FULL THROTTLE (1st race), WILD IMAGINATION, SO TRUE (3rd race), SILVER SCREEN (4th race), NATIVE KNIGHT, NATIONAL GLORY (5th race), TEQUILA (6th race), LAZOR RAZOR (7th race), GLORIOUS MISS, EYE OF THE STORM (8th race), SPLASH (9th race) and AL ZAMRUD , SHERMAN FLAIL (10th race) at his (Trainer Narendra Lagad’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO 1. (10) THE SUN KING PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners -10

 

Near 1000 metres, MONEY FLASH (App.Kavraj Singh) shifted ground inwards, as such  App. Kavraj Singh has been cautioned.

 

STAR ZONE (P.Kamlesh) lugged-in in the straight.  Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey F.Irani (MISCHEVIOUS Z) reported that his mount was inclined to run out during the race. Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, VICTOR IVANOV was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 2. (11) THE SUN KING PLATE  ( DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 10

 

EVANGILIST (App.Kavraj Singh) jumped out awkwardly inwards and went on to COUGAR (J.Chinoy) who was checked.

After the race, EVANGILIST was found to be sound, having an abrasion at the right hind coronet.

 

RACE NO 3. (12) THE GOODNESS GRACIOUS PLATE  (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 16

 

Trainers Ivor Fernandes and Janardhan have been fined Rs.1000/- each for failing to race their respective charges i.e. MEDIATOR and WALKING TALL in the registered racing colour. The Jockeys wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.

The right cowl of the Blinkers on WALKING TALL (S.Sameer) was observed to be loose therefore the equipment was replaced by the Club’s gear at the Starting Gates. Trainer Janardhan has been fined Rs.1000/- for unserviceable condition of the Blinkers. 

 

Soon after the start, WILD IMAGINATION (Akash Agarwal) shifted in and inconvenienced WALKING TALL (S.Sameer). Jockey Akash Agarwal has been cautioned.

 

The saddle on WALKING TALL (S.Sameer) and JEN’S GLORY (Towfeeq R.Shaikh) slipped back during the race, as such, both the Trainers, Janardhan and Altaf Hussain have been fined Rs.2000/- each for faulty saddling of their respective charges.

After the race, WORD OF HONOUR was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore canon.

 

RACE NO 4. (13) THE VICTORIA FALLS PLATE  (DIV.II):  (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 14 

               

Jockey P.S.Chouhan was declared to ride on two horses in this race i.e. by Trainers Ivor Fernandes (LAKE SUPERIOR) and Zadmal Singh (RUNNING SUN). After enquiring, Jockey P.S.Chouhan was permitted to ride LAKE SUPERIOR and Trainer Zadmal Singh declared App.P.Trevor on RUNNING SUN. Trainer Zadmal Singh was fined Rs.1000/- for declaring Jockey PS Chouhan without his consent.

 

Jockey Malcolm Kharadi (TAMARAI) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

App.P.Trevor (RUNNING SUN) has been cautioned for shifting ground inwards in the early part of the race.

 

Jockey J.Chinoy (OCEAN STAR) has been cautioned for shifting out while negotiating the bend and forcing HAMMERHEAD (R.Shelar) to travel wide.

Jockey A.J.Nilesh (NATIONAL IKON) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to drift out while negotiating the bend and for keeping a wide course in the straight.

 

After the race, RED PASSION and LAKE SUPERIOR were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 5. (14) THE ROSE ROYAL TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 9

 

Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge ARES.

 

At the start, SEA STAR (P.Kamlesh) was tightened for room as BEAUTIFUL STRANGER (P.S.Chouhan) and SCHNELL (J.Chinoy) converged on to SEA STAR.

 

After the race, NATIONAL GLORY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 6. (15) THE IMPULSE PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres.   Runners - 10

 

After the race, CIEL INDIENNE was found to have a gum injury.

 

RACE NO 7. (16) THE VELVET ROPE TROPHY  (DIV.II):  (About) 1200 Metres.   Runners – 14

 

Trainer Nana Raghunath has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to race his charge RIDING ONTHE STORM in the registered racing colour. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.

Approaching 800 metres, GLOWING MIST (J.Chinoy) shifted in and caused KATHELYNN (C.Alford) to shift in, who in turn inconvenienced THAT’S MY MASTER (Zameer Sayyed). Jockey J.Chinoy has been cautioned.

 

HEAVENLY PRIZE (Vikram Jodha) lugged in during the race and near 400 metres made contact with CHIEF RULER (A.M.Tograllu). Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, HEAVENLY PRIZE and STAR MOUNTAIN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 8. (17) THE VICTORIA FALLS PLATE  (DIV.I) : (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 14

 

At the start, EYE OF THE STORM (Shrikant Kamble) jumped out awkwardly.

 

At the start, AMBEROGIO (I.Shaikh, Dr 14) shifted in and in the process went across ALBUURZ (J.Chinoy). Jockey I.Shaikh has been cautioned.

 

Jockey J.Chinoy (ALBUURZ) reported that his mount was restless in the Gates and as the horse jumped out he lost his right stirrup and was slow, therefore, he could not follow his instructions which were to go to the front.

 

After the race, ALBUURZ and GLORIOUS MISS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 9. (18) THE VELVET ROPE TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 14

 

RED RAIDER (Zameer Sayyed) and BLING (App.A.Sandesh) were reluctant to be stalled. Trainers D.J.Surti and Sanjay Kolse have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, BLING (App A Sandesh), who was restless in its Stall, jumped out awkwardly inwards. ASHWA BABHRI (Neeraj Rawal) jumped out awkwardly inwards.

 

Approaching 200 metres, BRAVE VISION (J.E.Pereira) shied away outwards due to the presence of PRIDE OF THE HILLS (Y.S.Srinath) and scrapped the rails.

 

Jockey R.Shelar (FREE FOR ALL) reported that approaching 200 metres his mount lost its action.

 

After the race, FREE FOR ALL and SCARLET PIMPERNEL were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 10. (19) THE GOODNESS GRACIOUS PLATE (DIV.I):  (About) 1000 Metres. Runners -  16

 

Soon after the start, SNOW BLAZE (C.Alford) shifted in before the Red Marker and carried MAHIMA (Shrikant Kamble) inwards who jostled with LUCKY MISBA (App.M.A.Roushan) who in turn went in on OCEAN SONATA (J.E.Pereira). Jockey C.Alford has been fined Rs.5000/-.

 

App.M.A.Roushan (LUCKY MISBA) reported loss of his whip near 400 metres.

 

After the race, GOLDEN SPURS was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

 After the race, AL ZAMARUD was found to have a gum injury. SNOW BLAZE was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 4th, 7th & 8th race, viz. SILVER SCREEN, IRRESISTIBLE HUNK & CLASS APART and the special sample of LAKE SUPERIOR (4th race), SCARLET PIMPERNEL & ANGELS TERN (9th race) and SNOW BLAZE, GOLDEN SPURS & GOLDEN HEART (10th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
