THERE WERE NO FALSE RAILS.

 

On a request from Trainer Suresh Chavan, permission was granted to Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai to saddle his charge FLOODS OF FORTUNE in the 3rd race, at his (Trainer Suresh Chavan’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer N.B.Chenoy, permission was granted to Trainer Bezan Chenoy to saddle her charge ALEXUS in the 4th race, at her (Trainer N.B.Chenoy’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Nosher Cama, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge SPIRIT OF ECSTASY in the 7th race, at his (Trainer Nosher Cama’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO 1 (77) - THE TRACK MUSIC PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres.  Runners -  10

 

At the time of stalling, it was noticed that the Drop Nose Band on ONLY WHITE (T.S.Jodha) was broken and the same was replaced with the Club’s gear.

 

At the start, INSITE SOUL (D.A.Naik) was awkwardly placed behind the heels of TOWERING HIGH (App.Kavraj Singh) and was steadied.

 

Relying on a report from the Sr. VO that WATCH OUT, Placed 4th, had left the Paddock before the All Clear was given, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.1000/- for his lapse.

 

After the race, HICKORY & RISING ASSET were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 2 (78) – THE BIG JOY PLATE : (About) 1600 Metres.  Runners - 5

 

At the start, ROESTI (Neeraj Rawal) tried to veer outwards.

 

Soon after the start, ARIANE (App.Akshay) shifted in due to which ZAAR (Shrikant Kamble) was tightened and checked. App.Akshay has been cautioned.

 

After the race, ARIANE and ASHWA PUSKAR were found to be sound. ARIANE had a cut injury at the left hind cannon and ASHWA PUSKAR had upper gum injury.

 

RACE NO 3 (79) – THE ROMAN ROSE TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 8

 

On arrival at the start, ARISTOCRATIC (P.Kamlesh) was examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter’s Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, BOLD DANCER (Neeraj Rawal) jumped out awkwardly, and was steadied as VIBGYOR (D.A.Naik) hung outwards and in the process went across BOLD DANCER who lost ground. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures with his charge VIBGYOR before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

BOLD DANCER (Neeraj Rawal) and INCOGNITO (Dashrath Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainers Mansoor Shah and M.K.Jadhav have been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with their respective charges.

 

After the race, ILLUSTRIOUS was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO 4 (80) – THE RUBEN STAR PLATE: About) 1400 Metres. Runners – 9

 

SCHOLAR (Ishwar Pardeshi) took a fly jump.

 

At the start, ALEXUS (App.A.Sandesh) reared up and fly jumped, losing ground.

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (ANCIENT WONDER) was observed to have eased up his mount before the winning post which may have cost him a place, considering the verdict of the race.  On questioning, the Jockey explained that he did not get a run throughout the straight and he had to ease up his mount as ANGELO (Kishore Kadam) shifted in. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Y.S.Srinath, the matter was reported to the Stewards.

 

The Stewards considered the above report and having viewed the video recording of the race, decided that no action was called for in the matter.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that ALEXUS collapsed and died after the race.

 

After the race, MIDSUMMER KNIGHT and ANCIENT WONDER were found to be sound. ANCIENT WONDER had an abrasion at both hind fetlock and HARMONICA had a cut injury at the right hind pastern.

 

RACE NO 5 (81) – THE PANCHSHIL MILLION:   (About) 1400 Metres.   Runners – 9

 

After being stalled, STAR MOUNTAIN (P.Kamlesh) kicked the rear gates. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to be sore by the left hind leg and had suffered bleeding injury at the left thigh. As such, STAR MOUNTAIN was certified unfit to race. GARARO (S.Sunil) was fractious and refused to be stalled despite all efforts. Both the horses, STAR MOUNTAIN & GARARO were withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s Order. SNOW BLAZE (Neeraj Rawal) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Adil Dajee, Faisal A.Abbas and Dallas Todywalla have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Further, STAR MOUNTAIN has to be passed fit by the Club;s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 200 metres, SONEEYO (C Rajendra) shifted out on to PRONTO STAR (Y.S.Srinath) forcing his way, due to which PRONTO STAR was forced outwards and thereafter SONEEYO went across PRONTO STAR. The matter was reported to the Stewards who interviewed Jockey C.Rajendra and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him decided to suspend his Jockey’s License for 10th September 2011 for Careless Riding. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race). Further, he was warned for the future.

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (PRONTO STAR) reported that his mount was trying to run out during the race. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race,  JOSEPHINE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, GARARO was observed to have an abrasion on bridge of nose. PRONTO STAR and SONEEYO were found to be sound.

 

PRONTO STAR (Y.S.Srinath) was placed fifth and GOOD AS GOLD (Amyn Merchant) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race

 

RACE NO 6 (82) – THE AIR DASH PLATE: About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 11

 

At the request of Trainer C.D.Katrak, OASIS GOLD  was examined at  2200 hours on 20/08/2011 and was found to be sore by right fore leg due to nail prick. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn from the race on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

REIN IN SPAIN (Neeraj Rawal) was fractious and kept backing away from the gates. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

At the start, VIVA LA DIVA (S.Sunil, dr.10) jumped out awkwardly inwards and made contact with VISIONIST (C.Rajendra, dr.9). TUDOR REGENT (Shrikant Kamble) shifted outwards and went on to IVORY MINT (App.Kavraj Singh) who in turn made contact with PERPETUATION (J.Chinoy).

 

Near 1100 metres, GOLDEN SPURS (Mansoor Khan) was steadied while racing on the inside of MOUNTAIN LION (T.Atul).

 

Near 500 metres, VIVA LA DIVA (S.Sunil) shifted in and then shifted outwards and took the running of TUDOR REGENT (Shrikant Kamble) who clipped the hind heels of VIVA LA DIVA and stumbled dislodging the Rider. Due to this incidence, IVORY MINT (App.Kavraj Singh) was checked by its Rider. Jockey S.Sunil was reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.

 

VISIONIST (C.Rajendra) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

After the race, TUDOR REGENT was found to be sound, having an abrasion at the right hind pastern and right nostril.

 

RACE NO 7 (83) – THE LEGAL STEPS PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres.   Runners – 11

 

At the start, ASHWA SAKIRA (Dashrath Singh) jumped out awkwardly. KNIGHT RIDER (C.S.Jodha) shifted in as the gelding was steadied after an awkward jump and at the same time EMERGING STAR (C.Rajendra) shifted outwards and carried ASHWA SAKIRA (Dashrath Singh) outwards who made contact with KNIGHT RIDER, who in turn went on ROMANTIC BEAUTY (P.Kamlesh).

 

At the start, Jockey T.S.Jodha (MADAGASCAR) lost his right stirrup which he regained shortly. Jockey has been cautioned to be more careful in future.

 

After the race, AMAZING SMILE was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern.

 

RACE NO 8 (84) – THE TRACK MUSIC PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres.   Runners – 11

 

MASTER CRAFT (D.S.Rathore) was reluctant to proceed to the start, thus delaying the start. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

At the start, BEMISAAL (J.Chinoy, dr.10) shifted in  and went in on to MASTER CRAFT (D.S.Rathore, dr.9) who went on to RIVER GEM (App.Akshay, dr.8) who in turn went in and took the running of TAG ALONG TOMMY (App.M.A.Roushan) who was checked. Jockey J.Chinoy has been cautioned.

 

Near 800 metres, DOCTOR NO (Ishwar Pardeshi) was inconvenienced as MASTER CRAFT (D.S.Rathore shifted inwards. Jockey D.S.Rathore has been cautioned.

 

Near 700 metres, RAN BANKA (App.Kavraj Singh) shifted in and tightened MASTER CRAFT (D.S.Rathore) and later went across MASTER CRAFT.  App.Kavraj Singh has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Passing 200 metres, MONARCHOS (T.S.Jodha) was ridden in check for a few strides while racing on the inside of ADVENTURER (Y.S.Srinath).

 

In the final stages of the race, UPROAR (App.A.Sandesh) was steadied due to lack of room.

 

After the race, ADVENTURER, UPROAR and UCANDOIT were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 4th, 5th & 6th race viz. RAJASTHAN ROYALS, SNOW BLAZE and VITTORIA as also that of SURYAVEER & SONEEYO (5th race) and the special sample of HICKORY (1st race), LIGHT MY WAY & ROESTI (2nd race), RIVER BLITZ, 4th race), GOOD AS GOLD, KING ARTHUR & MYSTIC TOUCH (5th race), HIGHLAND WARRIOR (6th race), EMERGING STAR (7th race) and RIVER GEM (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
