RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

 

On a request from Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed, permission was granted to Trainer Rehanullah Khan to saddle his charge ABERLOUR in the Mock Race held after the last race today, at his (Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed’s) risk and responsibility.

 

RACE NO.1(131) –THE LT.COL.GOVIND SINGH (VRC) TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 5 

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (PULVERIZE) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (AUGUSTUS CAESAR) reported that his mount was inclined to lean outwards.

 

After the race, AUGUSTUS CAESAR was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(132) – THE R.R.BYRAMJI TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 4

 

After the race, ALBARETO was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(133) –THE RHYTHM TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners- 9 

 

At the request of App. K. Nazil, the saddle on his mount SIA was adjusted on arrival at the start.

 

At the start, POETRYINMOTION (App. Raghuveer Singh dr. 9) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.

 

Soon after the start, LOVELY KUDI (App. M. Ayyar) veered out and carried AZEEZA (Bhawani Singh) outwards who had to be steadied. Thereafter, LOVELY KUDI (App. M. Ayyar) further drifted out on to POETRYINMOTION (App. Raghuveer Singh). It was also observed that LOVELY KUDI (App. M. Ayyar) was sluggish and ran detached from the field. Trainer C. Rajendra has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (AIZEL) reported that his mount hung out negotiating the turn. Trainer Faisal. A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (HIGHLAND WIND) reported that his mount hung in.

 

After the race, HIGHLAND WIND was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ROYAL ECLAIR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AIZEL and LOVELY KUDI were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(134)–THE  GOOL S.POONAWALLA MILLION (GR.3): (About) 1200 Metres–Runners- 4

RACE NO.5(135) – THE P.D.AVASIA TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 9 

 

On arrival at the start, INCENTIO (Dashrath Singh) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

QUEEN CREDIBLE (C. S. Jodha) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

 

After the race, SHAMWARI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, INCENTIO and QUEEN CREDIBLE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(136) – THE TRICUMDAS DWARKADAS TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 14

 

SIRRACHA (S. G. Prasad) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, CRIMSON (R. Shelar, dr. 7) jumped outwards on to NEMBE GREEK (C. S. Jodha, dr. 8).

 

Soon after the start, Jockey Nirmal Jodha (SPORTO) shifted in and went across LORRAINE (App. H. Zeeshan) causing the latter to clip the heels of the former and stumble. Thereafter, in an effort to steady his mount LORRAINE (App. H. Zeeshan) shifted in and made contact with NIGHT WATCH (A. Imran Khan). After questioning, Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been suspended for one race day i.e. on 10th February, 2018 for careless riding.

 

Passing the 700 metres, due to a tightly packed field RIDGEWOOD STAR (App. S. J. Sunil) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Imran Khan (NIGHT WATCH) reported that his mount was running green and hung out. Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, RIDGEWOOD STAR, CRIMSON, SIRRACHA and LORRAINE were trotted and found to be sound. TESSA had lost her left fore shoe.

 

RACE NO.7(137) – THE VILLOO POONAWALLA INDIAN OAKS (GR.1): (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 10 

 

At the start, AUBURN (A. Sandesh, dr. 4) jumped outwards, at the same time DAUGHTEROFTHESUN (Suraj Narredu, dr. 5) jumped inwards and they made contact. Thereafter, TAKE FIVE (P. S. Chouhan dr. 3) shifted out thereby tightening AUBURN (A. Sandesh, dr. 4) who had to be checked.

 

Soon after the start, MERVEILLEUSE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in thereby tightening DAUGHTEROFTHESUN (Suraj Narredu) who had to be checked.

 

Passing the 350 metres, MERVEILLEUSE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in thereby tightening DAFFODIL (N. S. Parmar) along the rails. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, MANIFOLD (David Probert) was observed to have veered out and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, MERVEILLEUSE was observed to have lost her left fore shoe.

 

DAUGHTEROFTHESUN (Suraj Narredu) was placed fifth and MERVEILLEUSE (Neeraj Rawal) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(138) –THE RHYTHM TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners- 9 

 

SHIVALIK SKIES (S. G. Prasad) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, SIR SONG (Dashrath Singh, dr.6) jumped outwards and made contact with PARADISE (App. H. Zeeshan, dr.7).

 

The saddle used on SPINNING GOLD (Nirmal Jodha) was observed to have shifted forward during the race. As a result passing the 800 metres SPINNING GOLD (Nirmal Jodha) drifted out and went across PARADISE (App. H. Zeeshan) who had to be steadied. Further, Jockey Nirmal Jodha had to pull his mount and dismount passing the 600 metres. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.

 

After the race, STAR SCHOLAR and ARTUS were trotted and found to be sound

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th race, viz. ARASHI, STAR INSPIRATION, SUMMER RAYS, MANIFOLD and ABU AL BUKHOOSH, as also that of RIQUEWIHR (4th race) and THEMIS and SELFIE STAR (7th race), and the special sample of ALBARETO (2nd race), SHAMWARI (5th race) and ARTUS (8th race),  were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
