RAILS WERE PLACED  AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

 

On a request from Trainer M. Narredu, permission was granted to his Assistant, Mr. Deepesh Narredu to saddle his charges OSTWIND & JIGSAW (1st race), MUSTANG (4th race), STARISTOCRAT (5th race), COLOMBIANA & PERFECTIONIST (7th race) and SHIVALIK HEROINE (8th race), at his (Trainer M. Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

CHANGE OF JOCKEY:

 

Since Jockey D.K.Ashish had a fall at RCTC on 19/12/2015 and Tr.M.Narredu as also Jockeys Suraj Narredu, Neeraj Rawal and App. Yash Narredu & S.A.Amit, who are related to him, left for Kolkata, the under-mentioned change of Jockeys were permitted on this day :

RACE NO.1(70) – THE NAWABZADA RASHIDUZZAFAR KHAN CUP: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 3 

 

After the race JOCKEY P. Kamlesh (OSTWIND) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, HELPING HAND and OSTWIND were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(71) – THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 9

 

At the start LHOTSE (S. G. Prasad dr. 5) shifted out, made contact with SHOOTING STAR (P. Trevor dr. 6) and ricocheted inwards.  

 

At the start, SEVEN SEAS (App. S. J. Sunil dr. 1) was observed to have shifted out.

 

At the start SHOOTING STAR (P. Trevor dr. 6) was jostled between LHOTSE (S. G. Prasad dr. 5) and MIDNIGHT ROMANCE (S. Zervan dr. 7).

 

AEOLUS MAXIMUS (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have stumbled soon after the start.

 

Approaching the 650 metres, AEOLUS MAXIMUS (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have shifted out going on to ATALYA (App. G. Amit). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

 

ASCENDENCY (P. Kamlesh) was observed to have hung out in the straight.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that after the race SHOOTING STAR collapsed on the way back from the track to the paddock. First aid treatment was given but the gelding did not recover and died.

 

After the race, ATALYA was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern. LHOTSE, MIDNIGHT ROMANCE and MILITARY GIRL were found to be sound. 

 

RACE NO.3(72)  – THE RANJIT V.BHAT MEMORIAL GOLD TROPHY : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 6

 

MINE FOREVER (P. Trevor) was observed to have hung-in in the straight. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, LADYBIRD was found to be sound in trot but had broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.4(73) – THE ALLAH RAKHKHA GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  9

 

On a request from Trainer P. Shroff the surcingle on his charge ACCOLADE (P. Trevor) was checked at the Starting Gate and was found to be in order.

 

ACCOLADE (P.Trevor) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After being stalled, MUSTANG (C.S.Jodha) rushed the front gate. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

Turning for home, IMPERIAL HERITAGE (S. Zervan) shifted in, as a result ONE AIM (A. Sandesh), who was racing behind him, was steadied.  

 

After the race, MUSTANG was found to be sound, but having an abrasion on the forehead.

 

RACE NO.5(74) – THE GRACIAS SALDANHA MEMORIAL MILLION: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 6

 

At the start REMEMBER ME (S. Zervan dr. 1) jumped out brushing the Starting Stall.

 

STARISTOCRAT (C. S. Jodha) hung-in in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

In the last 100 metres YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY (P. S. Chouhan) was observed to have leaned inwards going onto APACHE (Dashrath Singh), who in turn went onto SHIVALIK STORM (A. Sandesh), forcing the last named to be steadied.

 

RACE NO.6(75) – THE P.M.RUNGTA GOLDEN SPRINT STAKES: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12

 

On a request from Trainer M.Narredu, BE CAUTIOUS was permitted to be withdrawn from this race.

 

At the start, RASHUN (T. S. Jodha dr. 5) and STAND AND DANCE (R. Vaibhav dr. 6) shifted outwards and inwards respectively and made contact.

 

HEART OF THE CITY (App. S. J. Sunil) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head.

 

At the start, STATEIRA (P. Trevor dr. 11) shifted in and went on to HARVEY (A. Sandesh dr. 10) who had to check and dropped back. Thereafter the filly further shifted in onto PHOENIX CAT (Dashrath Singh dr. 9) who had to be steadied. On questioning, Jockey P. Trevor stated that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

NASCAR (App. S. J. Sunil) was observed to have shifted in soon after the start. App S. J. Sunil has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 150 metres, NASCAR (App. S. J. Sunil) hung in sharply forcing J. Chinoy (CANNONBALL RUN) and P. Trevor (STATEIRA) to check their mounts and stop riding. On questioning App. S. J. Sunil stated that his mount suddenly shifted in despite his best efforts.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (HARVEY) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, NASCAR was found to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, NASCAR, STAND AND DANCE, STATEIRA, RASHUN, ESSENCE OF LOVE and HARVEY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(76)– THE DELTIN CASINOS INDIAN 2000 GUINEAS (GR.1): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  10

 

COSTA DEL SOL (P.S.Chouhan) was very reluctant to reach the starting point thus delaying the start. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

At the start, MAGNIFICENCE (Dashrath Singh dr. 7) shifted out and made contact with BOLD APPEAL (R. Vaibhav dr. 8).

 

RIGOLETTO (Imran Chisty) was observed to have shifted in soon after the start. On questioning, Jockey Imran Chisty stated that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

PERFECTIONIST (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have stumbled soon after the start.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, BOLD APPEAL (R. Vaibhav) shifted out onto MAGNIFICENCE (Dashrath Singh), who in turn went on to COLOMBIANA (P. Kamlesh). On questioning, Jockey R. Vaibhav stated that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures.

 

After the race, ADMIRALTY was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Also, the colt was found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such, ADMIRALITY is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that RIGOLETTO was examined at the stables in the morning on 21/12/2015 and found to be sound but having a cut injury at the left fore cannon.

 

After the race, BOLD APPEAL was found to be sound.

 

MAGNIFICENCE (Dashrath Singh) was placed fifth and RIGOLETTO (Imran Chisty) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(77)–THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1600 Metres– Runners -  9

 

JACKNIFE (S.Zervan) was very reluctant to reach the starting point thus delaying the start. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

At the start, SENTOSA COVE (P. S. Chouhan dr. 5) shifted in onto SHADOWFAX (P. Trevor dr. 4) forcing the later to be checked. Thereafter SENTOSA COVE further shifted in making contact with REPLICA (App. Parbat Singh dr. 3) and went on to JACKNIFE (S. Zervan dr. 2). On questioning, Jockey P. S. Chouhan stated that his mount was erratic throughout the race. Trainer B. Prakash has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting the gelding to race.

 

SHIVALIK HEROINE (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have shifted in soon after the start. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned for future. 

 

Passing the 300 metres, BROWN DYNAMITE (R. Vaibhav) was observed to have shifted out, as a result JACKNIFE (S.Zervan) had to be steadied. Thereafter passing the 150 metres, JACKNIFE (S.Zervan) ducked in onto BROWN DYNAMITE. Trainers S. K. Sunderji and C. D. Katrak have been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting with their respective charge to race.

 

After the race Jockey C. S. Jodha (SHIVALIK HEROIN) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey S. Sunil (AWESOME KNIGHT) has been fined Rs. 1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip.

 

After the race, SENTOSA COVE, SHIVALIK HEROINE, REPLICA, JACKNIFE and BROWN DYNAMITE (examined on 21/12/2015), were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. OSTWIND (1st race), STARRY MOMENT (2nd race), MINE FOREVER (3rd race), ACCOLADE (4th race), APACHE (5th race), HOLY SMOKE (6th race), PHOENIX TIGER (7th race) and SHIVALIK HEROINE (8th race), as also that of COSTA DEL SOL, PERFECTIONIST and BOLD COMMAND (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
