RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

 

On a request from Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge GEROME in the 5th race, at his (Trainer Shaym S.Habbu’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait, permission was granted to Trainer Altaf Hussain to saddle his charge DÉJÀ VU in the 6th race, at his (Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 – THE  SEASON’S BEST PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

 

Near 400 metres, MILANO REEN (B.Prakash) shifted out and made contact with QUANDO QUANDO (A.Sandesh). Jockey B.Prakash has been cautioned.

 

TAPOCOCHA (S.Sunil) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Faisal A.Abass has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Trainer Subhag Singh when given an opportunity to explain the poor performance of MILANO GREEN, stated that filly has run satisfactorily in Pune over 1400 metres and therefore he ran her over the same distance and the Jockey has suggested to run her over longer trips. To another question, he stated that he had given the filly chance. Jockey B.Prakash reported that his mount was off the bit throughout the race. The explanation has been noted.

 

Trainer Faisal A.Abbas when given an opportunity to explain running and riding manner of his charge FAJR, stated that he had instructed the Jockey to wait on him and ride from rear position. He added that he would race him over extended trip and in a similar manner. The explanation was noted.   

 

After the race, MILANO GREEN was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 – THE ORIS TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9

 

At the start, AFSOON (App.Nikhil Bhujbal) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Jockey Kavraj Singh (UNKNOWN REBEL) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. He has been further fined Rs.3000/- for using the whip in an improper manner, wherein he persisted with the use of the whip while his mount was drifting out under the use of the whip and probably made contact with MAHIMA (Neeraj Rawal), close to the Winning Post.  

 

Passing 400 metres, RISING ANGEL (Zameer Sayyed) was inconvenienced when UNKNOWN REBEL (Kavraj Singh) who was lugging in, was being corrected and in the process shifted out.

 

Approaching the 100 metres marker, NEPTUNE (A.J.Nilesh) shifted out and in the process carried PRINCESS KHATOUM (A.Sandesh) outwards, who was placed behind UNKNOWN REBEL (Kavraj Singh) and was held up for a few strides.

 

UNKNOWN REBEL (Kavraj Singh) lugged-in in the early part of the straight and inconvenienced PRINCESS KHATOUM (A.Sandesh). Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, SHAHAAB was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 – THE MAHARAJA OF MORVI TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 3  -

NO REPORT

 

RACE NO.4 – THE  MATHRADAS GOCULDAS TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 5

 

At the start, SPIRIT OF MERCY (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out as the colt was being settled and went on to VITTORIA (D.K.Ashish).

 

After the race, HOME ALONE was found to be sound.

RACE NO.5 – THE STAR CROWNED PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 5

 

At the request of Trainer Karthik G., FABULOUS FLORENCE was examined at 2030 hours on 19/11/2012  and was found to be sore by the left hind leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

DANCING PRANCES (App.Prabhu Naidu) hung out and BRINDABAN (Suraj Narredu) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Altaf Hussain and Dallas Todywalla have been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race their respective charges.  

 

After the race, DANCING PRANCES was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 – THE SIR CHARLES FORBES TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 6

 

TURF LIGHTNING (Liam Patrick Jones) lugged out and ISHPINGO (S.Sunil) was inclined to lug-in in the straight. Trainers Karthik G. and Faisal A.Abbas have been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race their respective charges.  

 

After the race, MANYATTA and ROSALIND were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 – THE RACE OF HOPE GOLD CUP: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 5

 

Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to produce the Registered Racing Colours in respect of her charge SOLOR. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black. 

 

At the start, STEP UP (A.Sandesh) tried to veer to the outside.

 

AUGUSTUS (S.Zervan) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Tainer Karthik G., when given an opportunity to explain the poor performance of GOLD GLAMOUR, stated that he had Instructed Jockey Liam Patrick Jones to sit behind and make his move from the outside in the straight as the filly does not race well with horses around her. He added that the Jockey reported that after the start, everyone sat and his filly was placed well up and he did not want to break her stride and since he had no choice he rode from where he found himself. The Trainer added that the Jockey could not have done anything better under the circumstances. The explanation was noted. 

 

After the race, GOLD GLAMOUR and AUGUSTUS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8 – THE ORIS TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 8

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that SAN RAFAEL  was observed to be trotting sore whilst approaching the starting gate. On examination, it was confirmed that the SAN RAFAEL was sore from the right fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

LAZOR RAZOR (App.Nikhil Bhujbal) hung out in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

After the race, HILL RANGER, VIVA ZAPATA and LAZOR RAZOR were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9 – THE  GATEWAY OF INDIA PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 6 

 

After the race, REINSTATE and ROYAL CREST were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 3rd and 5th race viz. QUANDO QUANDO, PORTIA and BRINDABAN, and the special sample of GOLD GLAMOUR (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
