RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. RAILS WERE PLACED 7 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

On a request from Trainer S. S. Attaollahi, permission was granted to Trainer P. Shroff to saddle his charge PINK JASMINE in the 6th race, at his own (Trainer S. S. Attaollahi’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(45) – THE NEONA PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS -  4

 

Soon after the start, ARCANA (A. K. Aniket) shifted in under urgings onto SOUP AND SANDWICH (Akshay Kumar) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing CELLINI (P. Trevor) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey A K Aniket has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

In the final stages of the race, STAR ROMANCE (App. N. Bhosale) racing on the haunches of ARCANA (A. K. Aniket) was held up for room and had to be checked.

 

An objection was lodged by App. N. Bhosale rider of STAR ROMANCE placed third by the Judge against Jockey A. K. Aniket rider of ARCANA placed second by the Judge reason being, in the last 200 metres, ARCANA came in sharply wherein his ground was taken and he had to stop riding which cost him a certain second place.

 

After reviewing the race from various angles and considering the submissions made by the Jockeys and having heard the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own observation of the race, the Stewards of the Club decided to overrule the objection.

 

After the race, ARCANA was found to have abrasion on right hind tendon and fetlock.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that STAR ROMANCE was found to have ulcer – right eye.

 

RACE NO.2(46) – THE SECRET ROMEO PLATE  - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS -  10

 

After being stalled, SPIRIT BAY (T. S. Jodha, dr.4) reared up and hooked one of its fore in the adjoining stall as such the mare was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, App. Haridas Gore (SLAM DUNK) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SPIRIT BAY was trotted and found to be sound and PRINCE IGOR was found to have bruise on right hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.3(47) – THE PETRONIA PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS -  8

 

On the way to the start, EATON SQUARE (P. Trevor) dislodged its rider and bolted off towards the winning post and was apprehended there. Thereafter, the gelding was examined at the starting gates by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race. As per the norms, Trainer M. Narredu was contacted and had requested to allow the gelding to participate in the race.

 

BIG RED (Akshay Kumar, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, SHE IS ON FIRE (S. Zervan, dr.5) was marginally slow to begin.

 

Approaching the 300 metres, STAR GALLERY (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in and went across IMPUNITY (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. After questioning, App. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (KIMIKO) stated that at about the 300 metres due to his close proximity to STAR GALLERY (App. Haridas Gore) who was racing on his inside his whip came in contact with App. Haridas Gore which resulted in loss of whip. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that BIG RED was found to have sore – left eye.

 

RACE NO.4(48) – THE MYSORE RACE CLUB TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES –RUNNERS- 7

 

Passing the 250 metres, GOLDEN KINGDOM (P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out and carried CHOPIN (App. Kirtish Bhagat) outwards. After the race Jockey P. S. Kaviraj stated that his mount was inclined outwards despite his efforts, he further stated that as such he had used the whip as a corrective measure as the same was borne out from the video, no action has been initiated against the Jockey. However, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing the 200 metres, it was observed that Jockey M. S. Deora (EUPHORIC) had used the whip in an improper manner on his mount. Jockey M. S. Deora has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, App. Kirtish Bhagat (CHOPIN) reported that passing the 200 metres his whip was momentarily entangled in his reins.

 

RACE NO.5(49) – THE F. D. WADIA TROPHY  (Grade 3): (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS -  6

 

Passing the 1200 metres, DREAM SELLER (Neeraj Rawal) veered outwards thereby inconveniencing MISTY (P. Trevor) and carried TIME AND TIDE (P. S. Chouhan) outwards. After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that his mount veered out despite his efforts and in his efforts to steady his mount the bit had shifted to one side. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (MISTY) reported that he was denied a clear passage in the straight.

 

After the race, DREAM SELLER was trotted and found to be sound but was found to have wolf tooth on left side Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures for the same, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.6(50) – THE WAVES OF GLORY PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

At the start, GOLDEN GLOW (Akshay Kumar, dr.7) jumped inwards onto MAJORELLA BLUE (T. S. Jodha, dr.6) forcing the latter onto PURE (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.5) who in turn shifted in thereby brushing the haunches of SAN SALVATORE (Bhawani Singh, dr.4) and had to be steadied.

 

Passing the 150 metres, BUCKLEY (Dashrath Singh) leaned inwards onto INISHMORE (P. Trevor) who had to be steadied.

 

In the final stages of the race, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (App. Mustakim Alam) leaned outwards onto GOLDEN GLOW (Akshay Kumar) who in turn shifted out thereby inconveniencing PINK JASMINE (App. N. Bhosale). App. Mustakim Alam has been cautioned.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that GOLDEN GLOW was found to have sore – left eye.

 

RACE NO.7(51) – THE SECRET ROMEO PLATE  - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS -  10

 

The Equine Hospital reported that FLYING HALO was found to have sore and ulcer – right eye.

The urine samples of the winner of the 4th & 6th race, viz. GOLDEN KINGDOM & BUCKLEY, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

 

The urine and blood samples of the BELIEVE (Winner – 5th race) & MISTY (2nd Place – 5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
