RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 7 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 11 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 13 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.
On a request from Trainer Janardhan, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh, to saddle his charge GRAN TURISMO in the 8th race, at his (Trainer Janardhan’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(74) – THE RAPIDASH PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 4
Jockey Kavraj Singh (MT TIANMEN) has been cautioned for unbalancing his mount in the final stages of the race.
After the race, MT TIANMEN and AUGUSTYNA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(75) –THE MAHARAJA SIR PRATAPSINGH GAEKWAD TROPHY: (About) 1400 Mts – Runners - 5
Jockey S.Sunil (STEP-UP) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
RACE NO.3(76) – THE AUTUMN BLUE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 8
At the start ZOOM ZOOM (A.Sandesh, dr.1) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to SHADOWS OF TIME (R.Shelar, dr.2).
After the race, MR MORRISON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, MCHUMBA was found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(77) – THE VESUVIUS PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11
At the start, SAM (App.Sandeep Jadhav) jumped out awkwardly.
Near 700 metres, BLUSH (Dashrath Singh) was inconvenienced and steadied as THUNDER STAR (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.
After the race, SAM, SILVERVILLE, ICE RINK, THUNDER STAR and GOLDEN SPURS (examined on 20/12/2013) were found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(78) – THE ALDEBURGH PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 8
IRIDESCENCE (App.S.Mosin) took an awkward fly jump.
Near 700 metres, AL SHAMSHEER (Dashrath Singh) put in an awkward stride and was unbalanced and in the process shifted out on to TIGER TOPS (S.Zervan), who went on to IRIDESCENCE (App.S.Mosin).
PURE CHAMPION (Vikram Jodha) commenced to lug-out soon on entering the straight and near 100 metres suddenly ducked out, unbalancing its rider who was dislodged. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race, before next accepting to race.
Jockey A.Sandesh (SHIVALIK SHOWERS) reported that his mount lugged-out in the straight. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
GHALIB (Suraj Narredu) was inclined to lug-in in the straight. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
After the race, PURE CHAMPION was found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(79) – THE WILD EAGLE PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners – 8
At the start CYPRESS POINT (Shrikant Kamble) jumped out awkwardly.
At the start NEGOTIATOR (A.Sandesh, dr.6) drifted outwards and went across NUSH (Imran Chisty, dr.7).
Near 300 metres, ONE WISH (S.P.Ranjane) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process inconvenienced NUSH (Imran Chisty), who also lugged-in. Nevertheless, Jockey S.P.Ranjane has been cautioned.
Jockey Imran Chisty (NUSH) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, NUSH was found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(80) – THE AUTUMN BLUE PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 9
While negotiating the bend GRAND MARCH (Prabhu Naidu) shifted out and made contact with NATIONAL PRIDE (Imran Chisty). Jockey Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned for unbalancing his mount in the final stages of the race.
App.B.Nikhil (MARENGO) reported that his mount lugged-out in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of ARUSHA in this race and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, MARENGO and ARUSHA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.8(81) – THE SIMPLY NOBLE TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 10
At the start, SUMMER ECLIPSE (Dashrath Singh, dr.6) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to HIDDEN ASSET (Vikram Jodha, dr.7). As SUMMER ECLIPSE was steadied, the filly shifted in and at the same time ACE OF HEART (Akash Agarwal) shifted out and made contact with each other.
At the start, CHINOOK (Satish Nayak) jumped out awkwardly and DOC HOLLIDAY (Neeraj Rawal) hesitated at jump out.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (DOC HOLLIDAY) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
HIDDEN ASSET (Vikram Jodha) lugged-out in the straight and near 400 metres caused FABULOUS FLORENCE (Fr’Co F.Dasilva) to shift out. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, DOC HOLIDAY, ACE OF HEART and CHINOOK were found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(82) – THE VESUVIUS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 11
At the start, PRETTY IN POTPONG (Hanumant Singh, dr.3) jumped awkwardly outwards due to which SHOCKALOT (S.Sunil, dr.4) shied and went across COURTESY CALL (R.Shelar, dr.5).
On questioning, Jockey V.Chandrakant (ZAAGROS) stated that he could not ride out his mount throughout the race as the filly lugged-in. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
The Sr.V.O. reported that EXACTLY and ZAAGROS were examined at the stables in the morning on 20/12/2013 and found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th race viz. WIND AND RAIN, ZOOM ZOOM, BROWN DYNAMITE and BOURBON STREET, and the special sample of MR.MORRISON and SHADOWS OF TIME (3rd race), ARUSHA (7th race) and TICKER TAPE PARADE (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
