RAILS  WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (MILE  CHUTE)  LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT AT 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1 (209) –AGP - HISTORY OF INDIA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 4

 

STORM TRACKER (Anthony Crastus) hung out in the straight. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to show the colt to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.                         

 

After the race, STORM TRACKER was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (210)  – THE R.M.SHAH - MIDCO TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 14

 

Approaching 200 metres, LAZOR RAZOR (P.Trevor) shifted out to progress in the race and in doing so, caused AURARIA (App.Prasad) and BONNY LIGHT (Suraj Narredu) to travel wide. Jockey P.Trevor has been cautioned.

 

Jockey Daniel Bast (BEAUTIFUL MIND) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount and a further sum of Rs. 2000/- for improper use of the whip, whereby he had unbalanced his mount towards the concluding stages of the race and interfered with MOUNTAIN LION (Kavraj Singh).

 

SPLASH (Hamir Singh) raced wide making the home turn.

 

An enquiry has been initiated in to the comparative performance of LAZOR RAZOR and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, CAPTAIN SMART was observed to have lost its right hind shoe. MOUNTAIN LION was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (211) – THE ARTIERE TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres - Runners – 6

 

Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait was questioned regarding the poor performance of INVICTUS. He stated that there is no explanation for the poor performance and he had requested for endoscope examination. Subsequently, the Sr.V.O. reported that the endoscopy revealed that the gelding had suffered Grade 3 EIPH, as such no further action was initiated in the matter. INVICTUS has been stopped from racing for the stipulated period of 4 weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.                   

 

RACE NO.4 (212)  – AGP – THE BIG FAT SQUEEZE TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres - Runners – 6

 

PURE ELATION (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in before the Red Marker and caused interference to OCEAN WISH (Kavraj Singh) who shifted in bumping the hind quarters of INCOGNITO (B.Prakash), who in turn made contact with AMARETTO (Akshay).  Further, in the concluding stages of the race, PURE ELATION shifted in under the use of the whip on to INCOGNITO who in turn bored CLASS APART (P.Trevor) for a few strides. Jockey Neeraj Rawal was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

 

The Stewards interviewed Jockey Neeraj Rawal and having heard him and having viewed the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and held him guilty of careless riding on his mount PURE ELATION. The Stewards noted that Mr.Neeraj Rawal’s Jockey’s license already stood suspended for 8th March, 2012 for an earlier offence on BESPOKE. Therefore, the Stewards decided to further suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 9th March, 2012 to 15th March, 2012 (both days inclusive) for careless riding on his mount  PURE ELATION(Permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

Jockey S.Zervan (MARTINIQUE) reported loss of his whip approaching the 200 metres marker. The explanation of Jockey S.Zervan that the whip of Jockey Neeraj Rawal hit his whip and thereby he lost his whip was noted.

 

RACE NO.5 (213) – AGP – BLAME IT ON YASHRAJ TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners – 6

 

BLING (Dashrath Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. ROMANTIQUE (Neeraj Rawal) planted in the gate and did not take part in the race. Trainers Sanjay Kolse and Imtiaz A.Sait have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.6 (214)  – AGP - THE TAO ART GALLERY TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 15

 

The Clerk of the Scale reported that Jockey A.J.Nilesh,, the declared Rider for HOUDINI, was weighing-out 2.5 kg more than the published weight and there was no prior permission sought to carry the over-weight. As such, Jockey A.J.Nilesh has been fined Rs.3000/- and was permitted to fulfill his riding engagement. 

 

Approaching 800 metres, DISTANT PROMISE (C.Rajendra) was steadied due to lack of room, owing to a tightly packed field.

 

Jockey Hanumant Singh (TOMORROWS DREAMS) has been cautioned for shifting ground outwards in the straight and near 100 metres hampering the run of BLAU HIMMEL (Ishwar Pardeshi).

 

Jockey C.Rajendra (DISTANT PROMISE) has been cautioned for shifting ground inwards under the use of the whip in the straight.

 

HOUDINI (A.J.Nilesh) lugged out in the straight and approaching 400 metres, shifted out and made contact with BEMISAAL (M.A.Roushan) and thereafter continued to lug out till the Winning Post. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. Nevertheless, Jockey A.J.Nilesh has been cautioned for making insufficient effort to control his mount.

 

After the race, FULL THROTTLE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SACRE COEUR, RIVER TERN,  TOMORROWS DREAM (examined on 20/02/2012) and HOUDINI (examined on 20/02/2012) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (215) – THE AGP MULTI-MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres–Runners–  9

 

DESTINY (Stephane Pasquier) hung out in the straight and ANAHI (A.Sandesh) hung out throughout the race. Trainers P.Shroff and S.S.Shah have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that DESTINY and ANAHI were examined at the stables on 20/02/2012 and found to be sound.

 

DESTINY (Stephane Pasquier) was placed fifth and WINGS OF GLORY (David Allan) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8 (216) – THE DR.JAGJIT SINGH OWNERS’ TRIBUTE MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 20

 

Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to produce the registered racing colours in respect of his charge YOUNG OFFENDER. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.

 

Passing 1000 metres, LAURUS PRIDE (David Allan) shied away and shifted in as EMERALD VALLEY (Shrikant Kamble) joined the former on its outside, and went on to FLOODS OF FORTUNE (B.Prakash), who in turn went in on to POUND FOOLISH (Daniel Bast), who in turn caused interference to ENDLESS HORIZON (T.S.Jodha).

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey S.Zervan, rider of GOLDEN MEMORY (placed 3rd), against MARINE ZONE (Dashrath Singh, placed 2nd). The reason being, In the last 50 metres, MARINE ZONE, who was racing on his outside, twice bumped him hard whereby his mount was unbalanced and he could not ride out completely, which cost him the second place.

 

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.

 

RACE NO.9 (217) – THE R.M.SHAH – MIDCO TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 15

 

At the Start, MACHALA (Kavraj Singh, dr.4) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to SILENT KILLER (T.S.Jodha, dr.5).  BARTIMAEUS (P.Trevor, dr.15) and QUICK RETURNS (Shrikant Kamble, dr.14) bumped. 

 

At the start, FAHRENHEIT (D.K.Ashish, dr.13) shifted in and bumped WERE WOLF (D.S.Rathore, dr.12) on to NEPTUNE (App.Nikhil Bhujbal, dr.11). The Stipendiary Stewards will enquire into the incident further and submit a report shortly.

 

Jockey B.Prakash (STARLIGHT MAGIC) reported that his mount lugged out during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey M.A.Roushan (VISIONAIRE) has been cautioned for exulting before passing the Winning Post.

 

After the race STARLIGHT MAGIC and QUICK RETURNS (examined on 20/02/2012) were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 5th, 7th and 8th race, viz. STORM TRACKER, BLING, MAPLE STAR and TAG ALONG TOMMY, as also that of BLUE ACE & CHICHARITO (7th race) and MARINE ZONE & GOLDEN MEMORY (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE : OBJECTION IN RACE NO.196 – THE DR.S.C.JAIN SPRINTERS’ CHAMPIONSHIP (GR.2) RUN ON SUNDAY, 12TH FEBRUARY, 2012 – JOCKEY NEERAJ RAWAL, RIDER OF “BESPOKE” – CARELESS RIDING : 

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on Sunday, 19th February, 2012 interviewed Jockey Neeraj Rawal for careless riding on his mount BESPOKE in the above race and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, decided to suspend his Jockey’s license for 8th March, 2012  (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

RE: MORNING TRACK WORK – 17th February, 2012 :

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that FLAMENCA was observed to have broken a blood vessel after morning track work on 17thFebruary, 2012. The horse has been stopped from racing for the stipulated period of four weeks and until passed fit by the Club’s V.O.
