RACE DAY REPORTS

 

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED FROM 1900 METRES LEADING TO ABOUT 3 METRES WIDE TILL 1000 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES, 6 METRES WIDE TILL 400 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 5 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.  

 

RACE NO.1(77) – THE SCARLET EMPEROR PLATE : (About) 2400 Metres – 4 Runners

 

BONOBO (R.Vaibhav) took a fly jump.

 

After the race, ROMANTIC BEAUTY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(78) – THE RUBEN STAR PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 4 Runners

 

After being stalled, APPALACHIA (P.Kamlesh) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

FALCO NERO (A.Sandesh) lugged-in in the early part of the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

NUSH (Imran Chisty) leaned-in in the final stages of the race. Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, APPALACHIA was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, NUSH was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(79) – THE  GAMBLE FOR LOVE TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – 6 Runners

                                      

Jockey P.Trevor (HIDDEN GOODNESS) reported that approaching 1600 metres, his mount became keen and clipped the heels of HURRICANE WIND (Shrikant Kamble).

 

After the race, OKAVANGO was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(80)–THE  DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

Soon after the start, CEASARINA (Bhanu Pratap Singh, dr.8) shifted in and carried VAILE ROUGE (App.Prasad, dr.7) inwards, who in turn hampered the running of SAMI (Altaf Sayyed, Dr.6). Jockey Bhanu Pratap Singh has been cautioned.

 

Near 500 metres, RIO (App.S.Mosin) shifted in and caused interference to WIND CRAFT (S.P.Ranjane). App.S.Mosin has been fined Rs.2,000/-. Further, he has been cautioned for showing victory sign before passing the Post.

 

Near 100 metres, VAILE ROUGE (App.Prasad) shifted in and tightened WIND CRAFT (S.P.Ranjane). App.Prasad has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, CEASARINA was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. RIO and WIND CRAFT (examined on 19/08/2013) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(81)  – THE BEYOND EXPECTATION PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – 6 Runners

 

MEGA STAR (I.Pasha) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. SWORD OF HONOUR (R.Vaibhav) was restless in the stall and not allowing its rider to settle. Trainers Narendra Lagad and Magansingh P.Jodha have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, OTHER SONG was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. SANTA CATERINA was found to be sound.

RACE NO.6(82) –THE DR.P.K.SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY(DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

Passing 800 metres, AMSTERDAM (Bhanu Pratap Singh) was inconvenienced and lost position while racing between BACKSTREET BAY (R.Shelar) and STORM LIGHTNING (A.J.Nilesh).

 

Jockey R.Shelar (BACKSTREET BAY) has been reprimanded for indifferent handling of his mount. 

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ACE ANGELFIRE) reported that his mount was inclined to run out while negotiating the bend and in the straight. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that ANGELFIRE was found to be sound, but having wolf tooth on either side. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race,  PRIZE FIGHTER and BACKSTREET BAY (examined on 19/08/2013) were found to be sound. 

 

RACE NO.7(83) – THE  RAJA BAHADUR PITTIE MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.1,000/- for accepting with his charge INTESAR while the filly was on a Veterinary Ban. The filly was struck out at Acceptance stage.

 

PRESENCE (A.Sandesh) jumped out slow, losing about 4 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, FOREST VISION (B.Sreekanth, dr.1) lugged out and at the same time INDISPENSABLE (Vikram Jodha, dr.2) also drifted out and in the process the latter hampered the running of TEMPEST (N.S.Parmar).

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (SINDBAAD) reported that his mount was inclined to run out during the race. Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, PRESENCE and SINDBAAD were found to be sound.

 

TEMPEST (N.S.Parmar) was placed fifth and SINDBAAD (A.Ashhad Asbar) was placed sixth by  the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(84) – THE CLASSIC TALK PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 13 Runners

 

MACHO UNO (A.Ashhad Asbar), DOLMACHE PALACE (I.Pasha) and MONEY STRIKE (Neeraj Rawal) lost about 3 lengths each, at the start. SENOR HILL (S.Sameer) planted losing about 8 lengths at the start. Trainers Adil Dajee, Narendra Lagad, D.J.Surti, and Suresh Chavan have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, GIBRAN (J.Chinoy, dr.3) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to ASHWA YODHAA (App.Prasad, dr.4). 

 

After the race, DOLMABACHE PALACE, GIBRAN, SENOR HILL, PLATED and MONEY STRIKE were found to be sound. GIBRAN had an abrasion on the left side of the withers, MONEY STRIKE had a cut injury at the right fore pastern and ASHWA YODHAA had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.9(85) – THE ALLEY CAT PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 16 Runners

 

ICE PICK (S.Sunil) planted and took no part in the race. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing 600 metres, DESERT WINGS (P.Trevor) was keen and shifted out on to STARRING (Dashrath Singh) who was steadied and shifted out and in turn hampered the running of MATRIOSHKA (C.S.Jodha).

 

After the race, STARRING was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, REINSTATE, RUN LIKE THE WIND, SOUND OF RIVER and HIGHWAY EXPRESS (examined on 19/08/2013) were found to be sound.

The post  race urine sample of the winner of  the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 9th race, viz. COMMANDER, RIO, JEREMIAH, PROVIDENCE and STARRING, as also that of WASABI & FONTANELLE (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
