RE: REPORTED TO THE STEWARDS FOR CARELESS
RIDING ON “ESPERANZA”– RACE NO.61 – THE PLEASURE HUNT TROPHY - RUN ON SATURDAY,
10TH JANUARY 2026:
In connection with the
captioned subject matter, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 18th
January 2026, having heard the submissions made by App. Ramswarup and his
Master Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, as also the Stipendiary Stewards, having
viewed the video recording of the race in question and having deliberated in
the matter at length. The Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation
tendered by App. Ramswarup. In that, in the last 50 metres he had shifted
out on his mount ESPERANZA, because of which Jockey R. Ajinkya (FONTANA) had to
check his horse and change course, this cost Jockey R.Ajinkya a
certain race. It was also noted that App. Ramswarup had made no visible efforts
to correct his mount. Therefore, the Stewards held App. Ramswarup guilty of
careless riding on his mount “ESPERANZA” in the above race and decided to suspend
his Jockey’s licence for two race days i.e. on 8th & 12th
February 2026 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

hit the front but thereafter misjudged the pace and took an unusual lead
thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage and ran him into the ground.
Keeping all the
