RACE NO.1(61) –THE NAWABZADA RASHIDUZZAFAR KHAN TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 7 

 

At the request of Jockey P. Trevor, the saddle on his mount IN MY DREAM was adjusted at the Starting Gate.

 

Passing 300 metres, BIG SUR (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and went across FRIVOLOUS (P. S. Chouhan) who had to be steadied. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

 

After the race, FRIVOLOUS and HIGHLAND BREEZE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(62) – THE COLE GOLD TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12

 

MAGIC DUST (Dashrath Singh) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

EAGLE SPIRIT (T. S. Jodha) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Passing 200 metres, REPLICA (Nirmal Jodha) shifted out and went on to MAGIC DUST (Dashrath Singh) and thereafter shifted in thereby taking the ground of GLORIOUS THUNDER (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Passing 150 metres, ROYAL ACE (A. Imran Khan) shifted out and carried MILWALKEE (App. H. Zeeshan) outwards. Jockey A. Imran Khan has been cautioned.

 

After the race, EAGLE SPIRIT and PADMAKOSA were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ADVANCE TO CONTACT was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern and GALTERO had a cut injury at the left stifle.

 

RACE NO.3(63) –THE SATINELLO TROPHY:(About) 1200 Metres – Runners- 7 

 

At the start, SILVER LOCKET (A. Imran Khan, dr. 4) jumped inwards and made contact with FIREBIRD (David Allan, dr. 3) and thereafter shifted in thereby inconveniencing FIREBIRD. On questioning, Jockey A. Imran khan stated that his mount had shied in and was running green.

 

After the race, FIREBIRD was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(64) – THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres –Runners- 11 

 

Passing 100 metres, GENTILLESSE (A. Imran Khan) shifted out and carried MERVEILLEUSE (Neeraj Rawal) outwards. On being questioned after the race, Jockey A. Imran Khan stated that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, GENTILLESSE and SHANGRI LA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(65) – THE RWITC LTD SPRINT CHALLENGE: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 11 

 

At the request of Trainer Altaf Hussain, DANCING PRANCES was examined at 1015 hours on 16/12/2017 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After being stalled, LADISLAUS (C. S. Jodha) rushed the front gate in anticipation of the start. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

At the start, ST. ANDREWS (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr. 8) jumped outwards and at the same time HARVEY (App. S. A. Amit, dr.10) jumped inwards thereby tightening LADISLAUS (C. S. Jodha, dr. 9).

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (CAPTAIN COURAGE) reported that from the 200 metres he was denied a clear passage, as such he could not ride out his mount.

 

After the race, LADISLAUS was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.6(66) – THE P.M.RUNGTA GOLDEN SPRINT STAKES: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 14

 

HIDDEN SOUL (App. Raghuveer Singh) took a fly jump.

 

At the start, FLASHY WINGS (Bhawani Singh, dr. 3) jumped outwards thereby forcing BOUNTY QUEEN (App. S. A. Amit, dr. 4) and SLAM DUNK (T. S. Jodha, dr. 5) outwards and at the same time SILKEN EYES (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 9) jumped inwards, due to which BUNTING (A. Sandesh, dr.7) and BESHIKTASH (A. Imran Khan, dr. 8) were tightened and had to be checked.

 

HIDDEN SOUL (App. Raghuveer Singh) was observed to have stumbled soon after the start,

 

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (EXCELLENT GOLD) reported that his mount hung-in in the final stages of the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, BESHIKTASH was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(67) – THE JACQUELINE INDIAN 2000 GUINEAS (GR.1): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 10 

 

Soon after the start, GALLANT KNIGHT (Bhawani Singh) shifted out on to ROCHESTER (C. S. Jodha), who in turn shifted out forcing CAPRISCA (S. John) outwards. Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

 

Soon after the start, PURE ZINC (Y. S. Srinath) shifted out and carried TIMELESS (A. Imran Khan) outwards.

 

Passing 300 metres, BATELEUR (A. Sandesh) shifted in thereby inconveniencing PURE ZINC (Y. S. Srinath) who had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey A. Sanesh reported that his mount was leaning in the straight. Subsequently, the Club’s Sr. V.O. reported that BATELEUR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

COSTA BRAVA (Colm O’Donoghue) was placed fifth and CAPRISCA (S. John) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(68) – THE COLE GOLD TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13 

 

Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been fined 2,000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing on his charge SIA wherein the filly was declared to run with plain Aluminium shoes on all four legs but ran with Square Toe Aluminium shoes on both fore legs and plain Aluminium shoes on both hind legs.

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined 2,000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing on his charge ROYAL BLOOD wherein the gelding was declared to run with plain Aluminium shoes on all four legs but ran with Square Toe Aluminium shoes on both fore legs and plain Aluminium shoes on both hind legs.

 

At the start, YUTAKA (P. Trevor, dr. 11) jumped inwards thereby starting a chain reaction due to which  IMPOSSIBLE DREAM (Yash Narredu, dr. 10), STAR ANISE (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 9) and ROYAL BLOOD (Bhawani Singh, dr. 8) were inconvenienced.

 

After the race, SAIL PAST, AME, ROYAL BLOOD and SMOKY HAZE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9(69) – THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 15 

 

At the request of Trainer Dallas Todywalla, RIDGEWOOD STAR was examined at 1145 hours on 14/12/2017 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

On the arrival at the start, CHARMING (S. Sunil) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified the filly fit to race.

 

GOOD THING (Dashrath Singh) took an awkward fly jump, resulting in the rider being dislodged. Tr. Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, RISHAB’S PET (A. Imran Khan, dr.4) jumped outwards and at the same time NEXTSTAR (P. S. Chouhan, dr.5) jumped inwards and they made contact.

 

After the race, ROCK IN RIO was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th race, viz. SILVER LOCKET, ALBARETO, EXCELLENT GOLD, CASTLEBRIDGE and YUTAKA , as also that of ROCHESTER and PERFECT STAR (7th race), and the special sample of BESHIKTASH (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:

 

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE INTERFERENCE THAT OCCURRED SOON AFTER THE START IN RACE NO.6(57) – THE KEJRIWAL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUN ON 16th DECEMBER, 2017:

 

AIRLIFT (A. Imran Khan, dr.11) shifted in before the Red Marker and went across KODIAC QUEEN (App. D. S. Daman) who had to be checked and further shifted in on to VOULEZ VOUS (App. Raghuveer Singh) who in turn shifted in and carried BENEFICIAL (App. Parbat Singh) on to KNIGHT’S QUEST (J. Chinoy) thereby inconveniencing them.

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 17th December, 2017 interviewed Jockey A. Imran Khan in the above connection. Having heard him and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey A. Imran Khan, decided to fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/-  for careless riding.

 

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE DANGEROUS RIDING OF JOCKEY P. S. CHOUHAN ON HIS MOUNT RISING BRAVE RESULTING IN THE FALL OF JOCKEY J. CHINOY IN RACE NO.6(57) – THE KEJRIWAL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUN ON 16th DECEMBER, 2017:

 

Soon after the start, RISING BRAVE (P. S. Chouhan, Placed First) shifted in on to SYNCHRONICITY (Amyn Merchant) who had to be steadied. Thereafter, passing the Red Marker, RISING BRAVE (P. S. Chouhan) further shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which AIRLIFT (A. Imran Khan), VOULEZ VOUS (App. Raghuveer Singh) and BENEFICIAL (App. Parbat Singh) were tightened and shifted in on to KNIGHT’S QUEST (J. Chinoy) who was tightened for room, due to which the gelding stumbled thereby dislodging its rider. Due to the fall SUERTE (Bhawani Singh) was also inconvenienced.

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 17th December, 2017 interviewed Jockey P. S. Chouhan in the above connection and having heard him and having viewed the video of the race (all angles – in normal as well as slow motion), were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 4th January, 2018 to 18th January, 2018 (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding on his mount RISING BRAVE (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

RE : MORNING TRACK ON 18th DECEMBER, 2017 :

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that YELLOWSTONE was observed after morning track work on 18th December, 2017 to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
