RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.

 

FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METERS.

RACE NO.1(1) – THE MAPLE STAR PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  10

 

Soon after the start, HAWK EYE (Mudassar Nazar) inclined outwards.

 

Passing the 250 metres, GENAU (N. Nadeem) leaned inwards on to ALPHA GENE (App. A Prakash).

 

Passing the 250 metres, POWER OF THOR (Dashrath Singh) shifted out under urgings and went across MAJORELLA BLUE (App. A. S. Peter) who had to be checked. After questioning Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, App. Jockey A. S. Peter reported that his mount MAJORELLA BLUE hung-in in the straight. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, HAWK EYE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MAJORELLA BLUE was trotted and found to be sound but had an abrasion above upper eye lid.

 

After the race, POWER OF THOR had an abrasion on right hind fetlock.

 

After the race, PATRIOTS DAY had an abrasion on left hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.2(2) – THE SIR CHARLES FORBES TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  3

 

After the race, FLYING VISIT was observed to have lost his left fore shoe.

 

RACE NO.3(3) – THE MASTER SHIFU PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  13

   

REMUS (A. Sandesh, dr.5) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Trainer Subhag Singh has been fined Rs.1,000/- for not producing the registered Racing Colours in respect of his charge SPECULATOR (App. A. S. Peter). The horse raced in emergency colours i.e. “ALL BLACK”.

 

At the start, RAECHELLES PRIDE (Mudasssar Nasar) jumped inwards and went across BEEMER (S. A. Amit), who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Soon after the start, PERIWINKLE (App. A. Prakash) shifted in and made contact with RED CARNATION (App. Aniket Karande) thereafter shifted out and made contact with MANDEVILLE (P. S. Chouhan) who was inclined inwards. App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 1000 metres, REMUS (A. Sandesh) shifted in went across PEPPOLI (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back. Jockey A. Sandesh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 200 metres, REMUS (A. Sandesh) was observed to have veered out. After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh reported that his mount was running green. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

In the final stages of the race, GILT EDGE (App. P. Vinod) leaned inwards and went across RAECHELLES PRIDE (Mudasssar Nasar) who had to be steadied. App. P. Vinod has been cautioned.

 

After the race, PERIWINKLE was trotted and found to be sound. SPECULATOR had a cut injury on left hind pastern.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards would be looking into the running and riding of SEMINOLE and a report will be submitted shortly.

RACE NO.4(4) – THE M D PETIT PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres –Runners- 6

 

Passing the 1000 metres, App. A. S. Peter (FAIRMONT) was observed to have looked back. On questioning, he stated that he had done so in order to assess the break he had taken from the field.

 

SONG SONG BLUE (App. Aniket Karande) was observed to have run detached from the field. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.5(5) – THE AHMED I. RAHIMTOOLA TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  8

 

At the start, SUNRISE RUBY (P. S. Chouhan, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with JOAQUIN (S. Zervan, dr.2) thereafter JOAQUIN shifted in and went across SUNRISE RUBY causing the latter to be steadied.

 

Passing the 350 metres, HIDDEN GOLD (N. S. Parmar) weakened and dropped back due to which AEGON (T. S. Jodha) racing on its haunches had to check and change course thereby made contact with SUNRISE RUBY (P. S. Chouhan).

 

After the race, JOAQUIN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.6(6) – THE MULRAJ GOCULDAS TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10

 

Soon after the start, LORD AND MASTER (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in and went across SENTINEL (Bhawani Singh) who had to be steadied thereafter LORD AND AMSTER further shifted in thereby tightening DARK SECRET (S. Zervan) along the rails. After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan reported that his mount hung-in despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, SENTINEL (Bhawani Singh) shifted out at the same time LORD VADER (R Rupesh) shifted in due to which CAMDEN TOWN (Prashant P. Dhebe) and ANGELS TRUMPET (T. S. Jodha) were tightened for room and had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockey Bhawani Singh and Jockey R. Rupesh have been severely reprimanded.

 

Approaching the 150 metres, MULTIENCRYPTED (N. S. Parmar) went across LORD AND MASTER (P. S. Chouhan) who had to be steadied. Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

 

After the race, CAMDEN TOWN was trotted and found to be sound. SENTINEL was observed to have a cut injury on right hind cannon.

 

RACE NO.7(7) – THE BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  7

 

TAIL EVENT (H. Zeeshan) and MAGICAL RAYS (N. Nadeem) were reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

THEA’S PET (M. Ayyar, dr.7) jumped out slowly and thereafter did not raise an effective gallop. In view of above and a similar behavior of the mare in her last run. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to show his charge in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, LITTLE MORE (Dashrath Singh, dr.11) jumped outwards onto PRINCESS SNOW (App. Aniket Karande, dr.12).

 

Soon after the start, SUITED ACES (App. A. Prakash) shifted in forcing SUN GOLD (App. Kirtish Bhagat) inwards at the same time VIVA LA VIDA (Shahrukh Khan) shifted out thereby bumping and unbalancing SUN GOLD. After questioning all concerned, App. A. Prakash has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 350 metres, SUITED ACES (App. A Prakash) shifted in thereby tightening ARABIAN STORM (Raghuveer Singh) along the rails. App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.

 

LITTLE MORE (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have hung-out throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

In the final stages of the race, SUN GOLD (App. Kirtish Bhagat) shifted in thereby inconveniencing WINDY CITY (A. Sandesh). App. Kirtish Bhagat has been cautioned.

 

After the race, LITTLE MORE was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd & 6th race, viz. REMUS & MONARCHY, and the special samples of JOAQUIN (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
