RACE DAY REPORTS

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED ABOUT 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1600 METRES TILL 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 5 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

On a request from Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge CATHARSIS in the 7^th race, at his (Trainer Shyam S.Habbu’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(143) - THE AMARILO PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – 3 Runners

On arrival at the Gates, the Surcingle on NEATH was tightened.

At the start, CHEMIN DE FER (A.Sandesh) and LIMITLESS HILLS (B.Prakash) lost their footing and were slow into their strides.

Jockey B.Prakash (LIMITLESS HILLS) hung-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, LIMITLESS HILLS was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind coronet.

RACE NO.2(144) - THE YANA TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 6 Runners

At the start, LAKE PARADISE (Altaf Sayyed, dr.5) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to MATILDA (D.K.Ashish, dr.4), who shifted in and made contact with WINTER WIND (A.Sandesh, dr.3).

Near 900 metres, WINTER WIND (A.Sandesh) was inconvenienced when STRINGSOFMYHEART (App.Prabhu Naidu) shifted out as the filly was ridden out. App.Prabhu Naidu has been cautioned.

After the race, WINTER WIND was found to be sound but having an injury at the right fore fetlock. MATILDA was found to have a gum injury.

RACE NO.3(145) - THE CHAKORI TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 6 Runners

Jockey A.Sandesh (SAINTS N SINNERS) reported that his mount stumbled at the start.

When questioned, Trainer Rehanullah Khan said that he had asked Jockey A.Sandesh to ride the gelding from the rear position which was different from its running pattern as it was a 1200 metres. He said that the gelding has not been showing improvement in its races and therefore he wanted to try him with this tactics. Further, the gelding has undergone a tie forward surgery, which was also a reason for trying out different tactics. The explanation was noted.

After the race, PURE ELATION was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, CARIBBEAN QUEEN and BLUE SKY were found to be sound.

RACE NO.4(146) - THE ACT IN TIME PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 14 Runners

At the Start, KASKAZI (R.K.Mahesh, dr.3) jumped awkwardly and went on to SOLI DEO GLORIA (C.Rajendra, dr.2). SAVAGE GARDEN (Shrikant Kamble, dr.7) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with DAREDEVIL (S.S.Baria, dr.6).

At the start, LADY WILLINGDON (Ishwar Pardeshi) tried to veer to the outside and lost ground.

Soon after the start, MONEY FOR NOTHIN (Nirmal Jodha) was tightened and lost position.

SOLI DEO GLORIA (C.Rajendra) stumbled near 1200 metres,.

After the race, ONEDERFUL was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, SOLI DEO GLORIA was found to be sound. The gelding had lost its right fore plate. FREE FOR ALL had a cut injury at the left hind cannon. KASKAZI had a cut injury at the right fore pastern. BEER HAND had a cut injury at the right hind coronet and bulb of heel.

RACE NO.5(147) - THE GLENSANDA PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners

At the start, ASLAN (C.S.Jodha, dr.5) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to PURPLE PATCH (Malcolm Kharadi, dr.6).

Soon after the start, INVICTUS (Dashrath Singh) shifted in despite Jockey’s effort and went across FAST AND FURIOUS (Akash Agarwal), who was checked. Later, INVICTUS (Dashrath Singh) raced keen and as the Jockey tried to settle his mount, the gelding shifted in and caused PURPLE PATCH (Malcolm Kharadi) to shift in, who went on to STAR IS BORN (P.Trevor) who in turn tightened MOUNTAIN WARRIOR (Akshay).

Near 1000 metres, PURPLE PATCH (Malcolm Kharadi) was pulled up as FAST AND FURIOUS (Akash Agarwal) dropped back, possibly due to INVICTUS (Dashrath Singh) who was racing keen, shifting in.

After the race, ROSE BOWL was observed to have lost its right hind plate. INTEQUAM, FAST AND FURIOUS, LIGHT MY WAY & MOUNTAIN WARRIOR were found to be sound. ASLAN had a cut injury at the right hind cannon.

RACE NO.6(148) - THE DNA SALVER: (About) 1400 Metres – 13 Runners

Soon after the start, DANSE DEBONAIRE (D.K.Ashish, dr.9) jumped awkwardly outwards and went out on to SUN SALUTATION (Imran Chisty, dr.10), who caused AL ATTATURK (P.Kamlesh, dr.11) to shift out, who was tightened on to NANYUKI (Shrikant Kamble, dr.12).

Near 1000 metres, HAMLET (Malcolm Kharadi) drifted outwards and took POLAR ZONE (A.M.Tograllu) outwards.

DANSE DEBONAIRE (D.K.Ashish) was hampered for a clear run as NANYUKI (Shrikant Kamble) kept an erratic course in the final 200 metres.

Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs.1000/- for not informing the discontinuance of the use of bandages on his charge NANYUKI.

After the race, QUE SERA SERA was found to be sore by the right fore leg. Also, the colt had a cut injury on the right fore cannon on tendon area. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race DANSE DEBONAIRE was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind bulb of heel. SCARLATTI was found to be sound. POLAR ZONE had an abrasion at both the hind fetlocks. SUN SALUTATION had a cut injury at the right hind pastern. AL ATTATURK (examined on 17/09/12 at the stables) was found to be sound.

RACE NO.7(149) - THE PANCHSHIL JUVENILE MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

ICE ZONE (Dashrath Singh) became unbalanced in the final stages of the race under the use of the whip.

Jockey A.Sandesh (INCENTIO) has been fined Rs.2000/- for easing up his mount prematurely thereby losing 6^th Place for which Stake money was on offer.

After the race, FOREST LEGION was found to have a cut injury at the left elbow. INCENTIO and ICE ZONE were found to be sound.

BARRINGO (Imran Chisty) was placed sixth and WOVEN DREAMS (Vikram Jodha) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

RACE NO.8(150) - THE ALAMEDA PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 12 Runners

ICE EMPIRE (S.Zervan) was restless and did allow its Rider to settle down. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, ICE DANCER (A.Sandesh, dr.4) jumped awkwardly and drifted sharply inwards and went on to IL MORAN (I.Pasha, dr.3), who carried MACHO MAN (J.Chinoy, dr.2) inwards, who scrapped the rails.

At the start, FIREHEART (P.Trevor, dr.6) ducked in and went across ICE EMPIRE (S.Zervan, dr.5). Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting race the gelding.

SHEER ROMANCE (Shrikant Kamble) hung out in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

After the race, BLUE SEA, ICE AGE and SHEER ROMANCE (examined on 17/09/12 at the stables) were found to be sound.

RACE NO.9(151) - THE GLENSANDA PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – 12 Runners

At the start, SEEKING GLORY (Imran Chisty, dr.5) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to SEIG FRIED (A.M.Tograllu, dr.6).

Soon after the start, ADAMS VISION (V.Chandrakant) shifted in went across JENS SECRET (S.K.Jadhav). Jockey V.Chandrakant has been cautioned.

Soon after the start, CHINGARI (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in and went across UNKNOWN REBEL (C.S.Jodha), who, while being steadied, dropped back on to ZANTHOS (P.Trevor), who in turn went on to JENS SECRET (S.K.Jadhav). CHINGARI further shifted in and took the running of SEIG FRIED (A.M.Tograllu) who clipped the hind heels of the former and stumbled and as SEIG FRIED dropped back, it hampered the running of SEEKING GLORY (Imran Chisty), who in turn dropped out on to UNKNOWN REBEL. Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been reported to the Stewards for Careless riding. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.

After the race, SEEKING GLORY was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. CHINGARI and ADAMS VISION were both examined on 17/09/12 at the stables and were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 4^th, 6^th, 7^th and 9^th race viz. BEER HAND, STORMY PRINCESS, SMART STRIDER & VOYAGER and also that ICE ZONE & CATHARSIS (7^th race) and the special sample of PURE ELATION (3^rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
