RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.

 

On a request from Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, permission was granted to Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha to saddle his charges WALK OF FAME (8th race) and QUE SERA SERA (9th race), at his (Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(204) – THE PRIME TIME PLATE:(About)1600 Metres– Runners - 5

 

At the start, DAZZLE N DAZE (Kavraj Singh) drifted outwards losing ground.

 

TOP COMMANDER (B.Sreekanth) lugged-out in the straight. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey S.Sameer (STRIKING STORY) reported that soon after the start he felt his saddle slipping to the right side and to maintain his balance, he abandoned his stirrups and finished the race whilst sitting on the saddle. After enquiring with Trainer B.Prakash and Jockey S.Sameer and not being entirely satisfied with the explanation of the Jockey, he has been cautioned.

 

After the race, TOP COMMANDER was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. STRIKING STORY was examined at the stables in the morning on 17/02/2014) and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(205) –THE AMATEUR RIDERS’ CLUB TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres –Runners - 15  

 

At the request of Trainer Altaf Hussain, WILD SEA was examined at 1945 hours on 15/02/2014 and was found to have fever, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The trainer has to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. 

 

MY FREEDOM (App.Sandeep Jadhav) took a fly jump, losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

Jockey J.Pradeep (EARTH SENSOR) has been cautioned for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the straight.

 

EARTH SENSOR (J.Pradeep) lugged-out in the straight. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, EARTH SENSOR and FLYING KISS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(206)– THE  NUCLEUS TROPHY (DIV.II):(About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 13

 

As the start was effected, it was observed that ESTABLISH PREDATOR (B.Nikhil) jumped out with the blindfold on, as such, a false start was declared by the Starter as he deemed that it was not a fair start. A Stewards’ enquiry was held at the conclusion of the race and considering that most of the horses had finished the race, and it was not practical to re-run the race, the Stewards decided to declare the race null and void.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards were directed to warn the Jockeys riding in this race for failing to pull up their mounts despite the sirens for false start being sounded.

RACE NO.4(207) – THE J.P.VAZIFDAR TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10

 

After the race, INCENTIO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SEA TREASURE and IN THE LIMELIGHT were found to be sore by the right fore leg and left fore leg respectively. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, INCENTIO was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at both the hind fetlocks.

 

RACE NO.5(208) – THE ENTREPRENEURS’ ORGANISATION TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 15

 

At the start, STAR PRINCE (S.P.Ranjane, dr.2) jumped outwards and went on to JEN’S GLORY (S.G.Prasad, dr.3) who went on to LAURUS TIKATI (Dashrath Singh, dr.4) who in turn went out on RAMBUTAN (B Nikhil, dr.5).

 

Near 200 metres, Jockey S.Zervan (DOUBLE OR QUITS) lost his right rein momentarily.

 

After the race, MEGA STAR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that STAR PRINCE was examined at the stables in the morning on 17/02/2014 and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(209) – THE  NUCLEUS TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 13 

 

At the start, EARTH TAMER (S.P.Ranjane, dr.6) jumped awkwardly inwards due to which STAR IS BORN (Prabhu Naidu dr.5) shied away and carried HOLY BULL (C.S.Jodha, dr.4) inwards,  who in turn went on to MISSFIELD (Kavraj Singh, dr.3) and RUBENS (Dashrath Singh, dr.2).

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (RUBENS) reported that his instructions were to go to the front but he could not do so as his mount received interference at the start.

 

App.Sandeep Jadhav (SATURDAY AFFAIR) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to drift out between 400 metres and 300 metres and in the process caused EARTH TAMER (S.P.Ranjane) to travel wide.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of RUBENS and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, HOLY BULL, STAR IS BORN, RUBENS, STAR GAZING and MISSFIELD were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(210) – THE PROVOGUE AGP MULTI - MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 10

 

IRIDESCENCE (Neeraj Rawal) took an awkward fly jump throwing its head, resulting in losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, RULE DOWNUNDER (A.Sandesh) jumped awkwardly.

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (ZENOFIC) reported that his mount lugged-out in the final stages of the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, FLASHING CHIEFTAIN was observed to have lost its right hind plate.

 

KAZURI (S.Zervan) was placed fifth and SIMPLY SWEET (Kavraj Singh) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(211) – THE  AMATEUR RIDERS’ CLUB TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 16

 

Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed informed that Jockey S.N.Chavan, the declared rider for CARLTON HOUSE would not be able to fulfill his riding engagement today due to breakdown of his vehicle and requested for change of Jockey. As such, Jockey S.N.Chavan was replaced by Jockey S.Sameer.

 

At the start, FABRIZIO (Akshay, dr.4) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to STARSONBOARD (J.Pradeep, dr.5).

 

Jockey J.Pradeep (STARSONBOARD) reported that his right leg brushed the Gates at the jump out.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that immediately after the start of the race, CARLTON HOUSE collapsed on the track. First Aid treatment was given but the gelding did not recover and died.

 

Passing 600 metres, COLOURFUL PRINCE (P.Trevor) was steadied for a few strides due to lack of room.

 

Jockey S.Mosin (ICE SKATES) reported the loss of whip near 200 metres. Further, Jockey S.Mosin reported that his mount held its bit on one side and was inclined to lug in. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

After the race, STARRY OCEAN found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SAN RAFAEL was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9(212) – THE  A.GEDDIS PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 15

 

Passing 1000 metres, BOURBON STREET (Neeraj Rawal) was tightened as ICE SKATER (Hanumant Singh) shifted inwards. Jockey Hanumant Singh has been cautioned.

 

Near 700 metres, ZIDAAN (Mansoor Khan) was tightened while racing on the inside of ICE SKATER (Hanumant Singh).

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (HABIBIAN) reported that his mount was leaning-in in the straight. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (FORTUNE HUNTER) reported that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight.

 

After the race, GLORIA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.10(213) – THE  WING ROSA PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 15

 

BLUSH (D.K.Ashish) lost 6 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey Dashrath Singh, rider of SPEED UP (Placed Second), against BELLA FIGURA (Neeraj Rawal, Placed First). The reason being, in the last 100 metres, BELLA FIGURA shifted out and bumped his horse and in the last 20 metres BELLA FIGURA again bumped his horse, which cost him a certain race.

 

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the above race as under :-

 

SPEED UP                         -        FIRST;          MOHEGUN SUN       -        THIRD;

BELLA FIGURA                  -        SECOND;      SUNTAN BEAUTY     -        FOURTH       

 

The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey Neeraj Rawal for careless riding on his mount BELLA FIGURA and having heard him and having viewed the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him. The Stewards noted that Jockey Neeraj Rawal’s license already stands suspended till 9th March, 2014 for an earlier offence. Therefore, the Stewards decided to further suspend his Jockey’s license for 13th March, 2014 for careless riding on BELLA FIGURA (permitted to ride work/mock race). 

 

AMAYA (S.S.Baria) and SUNTAN BEAUTY (B.Nikhil) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Vijay Kasbekar and Narendra Lagad have been asked to take remedial measures before next to race their respective charge.

 

After the race, MOHEGUN SUN was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th race, viz. ARCHIEVE, JOSHUA, BLUE BAY, BRYNHILL and SPEED UP, as also that of VISION OF ROMANCE and ZENOFIC (7th race) and the special sample of INCENTIO (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RACE NO.6 (191) – THE  HELLO! CLASSIC – RUN ON SUNDAY, 9TH FEBRUARY 2014 – JOCKEY B. SREEKANTH – CARELESS RIDING ON “MARS”:

 

The Stipendiary Stewards took the pending enquiry wherein approaching 200 metres, MARS (B.Sreekanth) shifted out under the use of the whip and took the running of ORIENTAL DAWN (P.S.Chouhan) who clipped the heels of MARS, stumbled and fell.

 

After having heard the submissions made by Jockey B Sreekanth, the Stipendiary Stewards suspended his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 6th March 2014 to 9th March 2014 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).
