RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES RUN AT THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer Narendra Lagad, permission was granted to Trainer M. K. Jadhav to saddle his charges POWER OF THOR (2nd race) and WILD FIRE & TIMELESS DEEDS (6th race), at his own (Trainer Narendra Lagad’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(31) –THE ARISTOS PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 12 

 

After being stalled, CECELIA (App. M. Nadeem) was leaning in the stall and not allowing its rider to settle. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

 

HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. Raghuveer Singh) took a fly jump.

 

At the start, CRAY CRAY (App. P. Vinod, dr. 11) jumped inwards and went across HUZZAH’S GRACE (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 10) who took a fly jump and was marginally slow to begin and went on to HONOURABLE EYES (App. K. Nazil, dr. 9) who had to be steadied.

 

Soon after the start, REGAL SHOT (App. A. Prakash) shifted in and went on to SAFFRON FLOWER (App. P. S. Kaviraj) who had to be checked. App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 1200 metres, CRAY CRAY (App. P. Vinod) leaned inwards on to SAFFRON FLOWER (App. P. S. Kaviraj) and had to be steadied.

 

Passing the 1200 metres, SAFFRON FLOWER (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted in thereby tightening AQUARIOUS (App. K. Pranil) along the rails. On being questioned after the race, App. P. S. Kaviraj stated that in an effort to settle, his mount had thrown its head up and leaned inwards.

 

Approaching 600 metres, App. P. Shinde (LOVELY FAIRY) was observed to have lost his balance momentarily. After the race, App. P. Shinde reported that approaching the 600 metres, his left rein had slipped which he regained immediately.

    

After the race, App. N. Nadeem (CECELIA) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Faisal. A Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, SAMURAI was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, CRAY CRAY, HUZZAH’S GRACE and CECELIA (examined on 16/12/2019) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(32) – THE M.H.AHMEDBHOY TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 6

 

Passing the 300 metres, SEA THE DREAM (Neeraj Rawal) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing NOTORIETY (Leigh Roche). Thereafter, passing the 200 metres, SEA THE DREAM once again leaned inwards forcing NOTORIETY (Leigh Roche) to be checked and change course. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the above incident.

 

Approaching 100 metres, Jockey Leigh Roche (NOTORIETY) was observed to have lost his whip. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of NOTORIETY and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, NOTORIETY and POWER OF THOR were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(33) – THE KHEEM SINGH GOLD CUP: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 5

 

At the start, KHARTOUM (App. H. Zeeshan, dr. 3) jumped outwards and went across ARMAITY (N. S. Parmar, dr. 4) who was marginally slow out. At the same time, STAR COMRADE (App. A. Prakashdr.5) jumped inwards due to which KHARTOUM and STAR COMRADE jostled.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of ARMAITY and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

The Club’s Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of the Stipendiary Stewards, ARMAITY was scoped at the Club’s Equine Hospital after the races and found to have URTI (Gr.I) thin mucopus streak in the trachea.

 

The Club’s Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of the Stipendiary Stewards, PRINCESS ANNABEL was scoped at the Club’s Equine Hospital after the races and found to have Guttural Pouch Empyema and URTI (Gr.II) mucopus in the trachea.

 

After the race, PRINCESS ANNABEL and ARMAITY were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(34) – THE  KANTHARA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 12 

 

At the start, GOLD MEMBER (Santosh G., dr. 9) jumped inwards and went on to GOLDEN SCEPTRE (N. S. Parmar, dr. 8) who had to be checked.

 

At the start, GANDALF (S. Joseph, dr. 3) jumped inwards on to SASAKWA (Leigh Roche, dr. 2), who in turn shifted in inconveniencing GLACIER EXPRESS (David Egan, dr. 1). 

 

After the race, Jockey David Egan (GLACIER EXPRESS) reported that his mount was running green.

 

After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (DIREWOLF) reported that his mount was erratic throughout the race. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

The Club’s Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of the Stipendiary Stewards, SERPENTINE was scoped at the Club’s Equine Hospital after the races and found to be URTI (Gr.II) mucopus in the trachea.

 

After the race, SERPENTINE, DIVIJA and DIREWOLF (examined on 16/12/2019) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(35) – THE SHANTIDAS ASKURAN TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres –Runners- 6 

 

Passing the 600 metres, POKERFACE (P. S. Chouhan) leaned inwards inconveniencing SHARAREH (N. S. Parmar).

 

After the race, KING KHALIL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FLAMING MARTINI was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(36) – THE JEHANGIR P.DUBASH TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 12

 

QUEEN CREDIBLE (A. Sandesh) planted in the stall thus losing considerable ground at the start. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures and show the mare in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting with her to race.

 

At the start, WILD FIRE (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr. 11) shifted in and cut across the field before passing the Red Marker. As such, Apprentice P. S. Kaviraj has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

At the start, KRIEGER (App. A. Prakash, dr. 7) jumped inwards and at the same time EBONY (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 3) jumped outwards and made contact with RISING BRAVE (Kishore Kadam, dr. 4) forcing it outwards, due to which TIMELESS DEEDS (N. B. Kuldeep, dr. 5) and STAR COUNCILLOR (Bhawani Singh, dr. 6) had to be checked.

 

MINSTREL HEIGHTS (App. P. Vinod) was observed to have trailed the field. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures. 

 

After the race, TIMELESS DEEDS, STAR COUNCILLOR, CHAPLIN (examined on 16/12/2019) and MINSTREL HEIGHTS (examined on 16/12/2019) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(37) – THE A.C.ARDESHIR TROPHY (GR.3): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners – 5

 

On Jockey Bhawani Singh being declared medically unfit to ride due to dehydration, the Stipendiary Stewards took the body weight of Jockey Bhawani Singh which was found to be 54.5 kg. It was noted that Jockey Bhawani Singh had accepted rides in this race on GRAND ACCORD (52.5 kg) and on PALOMAR (53 kg) in the 8th race. In view of the above, Jockey Bhawani Singh has been fined Rs. 2,000/- for having accepted rides despite him being aware that he would not be able to make good the weights.

 

At the start, LA RONDINE (S. Zervan, dr. 2) jumped outwards on to BRONX (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 3), who in turn shifted out thereby forcing RAEES (A. Sandesh, dr. 4) and GRAND ACCORD (N. S. Parmar, dr. 5) outwards.

 

After the race, LA RONDINE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(38) – THE KANTHARA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 12

 

Passing the 250 metres, JETFIRE (App. K. Pranil) shifted in thereby tightening ANATEVKA (App. P. S. Kaviraj), SLAM DUNK (App.S. A. Amit) and STICK TO THE PLAN (App. P. Shinde). On being questioned after the race, App. K. Pranil stated that his mount hung in despite his efforts. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race Jockey A. Sandesh (ALAUDDIN KHILJI) reported that his mount was running green in the straight. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, JETFIRE, AURODEN and ALAUDDIN KHILJI were trotted and found to be sound. SLAM DUNK had lost its left hind shoe.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 4th and  8th race viz. ANGELS HARMONY, SASAKWA and PALOMAR, and the Urine and Blood Samples of GRAND ACCORD & LA RONDINE (Winner & Second Placed – 7th race), and the special sample of KING KHALIL (5th race) and ALAUDDIN KHILJI (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
