RACE NO.1(148) – THE ACT IN TIME PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Near 200 metres, MOUNTAIN WARRIOR (App.Prasad) shifted out and jostled with ONLY WHITE (Nirmal Jodha). App.Prasad has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

In the final stages of the race, PLAYER (Shrikant Kamble) lugged out and went across MACHO UNO (A.Ashhad Asbar). Trainer Jayantilal K.Gor has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (MACHO UNO) reported that he did not get a clear run in the straight.

 

After the race, MOUNTAIN WARRIOR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, BLUE KNIGHT was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind bulb of heel and WALK OF LIFE had an abrasion  at both the hind fetlocks. 

 

RACE NO.2(149) – THE J.E.HUGHES  TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 4 Runners

 

After the race, SAINTS N SINNERS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(150) – THE YANA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – 4 Runners

                                      

After the race, SILVER ARROW and WORD OF HONOUR were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(151) – THE GREAT SECRET PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

MIDNIGHT LADY (A.Sandesh) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (MIDNIGHT LADY) reported that his whip got entangled with his rein near 150 metres from the Winning Post.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (MIDNIGHT LADY) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for Improper use of the whip, wherein he has used the whip on his mount after passing the Post.

 

After the race, FOLLOW ME was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, HOT AS ICE was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind coronet. MIDNIGHT LADY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(152)  – THE SEA RULER PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – 7 Runners

 

PERFECT STRENGTH (T.S.Jodha) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to give the horse more gate practice and show him  to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

BURN (A.Sandesh) lugged-in under pressure for a brief period in the straight. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey P.Kamlesh (HAIL THE KING) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh (BURN) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

After the race, PERFECT STRENGTH and RUN LIKE THE WIND were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(153) – THE  ISMAILKHAN PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 7 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi, SPEED UP was examined at 1030 hours on 15/09/2013 and found to have an injury at the knee and fetlock on left fore with swelling and was sore by the left fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.1,000/- for presenting his charge STARRY OCEAN without a Tongue Strap. A Tongue Strap was applied on the gelding before it left for the Starting Gates.

 

After the race, TROPICAL ZONE and DIAMONDZIP were found to be sound. TROPICAL ZONE had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.7(154) – THE  DNA SALVER: (About) 1400 Metres – 14 Runners

 

Near 100 metres, GALLANT LAD (P.Trevor) stumbled on its own.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (ANTARTICA ZONE) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift out under the use of the whip in the final 200 metres.

 

After the race, GALLANT LAD was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock and coronet and MAGIC VISION had a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. ANTARTICA ZONE and GOVERNNOR were found to be sound. 

 

RACE NO.8(155) – THE  GRAT SECRET PLATE  (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners

 

At the start, OVERTIME MAGIC (D.K.Ashish, dr.8) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to SECRETIVE (App.S.Mosin, dr.7).

 

Soon after the start, CAPTAIN SMART (R.Vaibhav) shifted out, due to which WILD IMAGINATION (P.Trevor) shied away and shifted outwards on to ANNABETH (App.Prasad) who in turn caused ARABIAN LORD (C.S.Jodha) to shift out and at the same time OVERTIME MAGIC (D.K.Ashish) shifted in, which resulted in ARABIAN LORD being tightened. Jockeys R.Vaibhav and D.K.Ashish have been cautioned. 

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that SECRETIVE stumbled and was pulled up by the Jockey before the winning post. On examination, the mare was observed to be sore from the right fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the mare was sent to the Equine Hospital by Horse Ambulance. Subsequently, the Equine Hospital reported that the mare had suffered fracture of the right scapula bone and hence was euthanized on humane grounds in the morning on 16/09/2013, after consent of the trainer.

 

After the race, SUNSHINE HEART was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind fetlock and ANNABETH had lost its left hind plate.

 

RACE NO.9(156) – THE  ISMAIL KHAN PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Sanjay Kolse, MARINE ZONE was examined at 0845 hours on 15/09/2013 and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

At the start, WALKING TALL (App.Prasad, dr.8) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to SAN RAFAEL (A.J.Nilesh, dr 7).

Soon after the start, MOUNTAIN WIND (S.P.Ranjane) lugged in and went across WALKING TALL (App.Prasad) and SAN RAFAEL (A.J.Nilesh). Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

Near 500 metres, MOUNTAIN WIND (S.P.Ranjane) shifted in and hampered the running of DOMAIN ANNA (Kavraj Singh). Jockey S.P.Ranjane has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

An Inquiry has been initiated into the comparative performance of SAMAY BALWAN and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, WALKING TALL and DOMAIN ANNA were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of  the 3rd, 4th, 7th and 9th race viz. SILVER ARROW, AL ZAMARUD, GLORIOUS REWARD and SAMAY BALWAN, and the special sample of FOLLOW ME (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE: MERCY PETITION IN RESPECT OF SIX RACE DAYS SUSPENSION IMPOSED ON HIM I.E. FROM 1/9/2013 TO 21/09/2013 FOR CARELESS AND IMPROPER RIDING ON HIS MOUNT “MON AMI” IN RACE NO 191 RUN ON 10TH FEBRUARY 2013 – APP PRABHU NAIDU:

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 15th September, 2013 considered Mercy Petition dated 6th September, 2013 from App.Prabhu Naidu and having considered all papers and proceedings before them and having deliberated the matter, decided to allow his Mercy Petition. He is therefore free to ride on 21st September, 2013.

 

However, his Apprentice Jockey’s license still stands suspended w.e.f. 22nd September, 2013 to 28th September, 2013 for riding an injudicious race on GRAND MARCH in Race No.207.
