RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT AND 5.5. METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE

 

On a request from Trainer H.J.Antia, permission was granted to Trainer Nirad Karanjawala to saddle his charges VITESSE (3rd race) and DECCAN KING (7th race), at his own (Trainer H.J.Antia’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(33) –  THE TRUE ELEGANCE PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners

 

Trainer Subhag Singh has been fined Rs.1,000/- for accepting with his charge PADMAKOSA in this race while the mare was on Veterinary Ban. The mare was struck out at the Acceptance stage.

 

Soon after the start, BITCOIN (App. K. Pranil, dr.2) shifted out on to FIRE FLAME (App. A. S. Peter, dr.3) and had to be steadied.

 

Soon after the start, GODSWORD (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.7) shifted in and went across MAESTRO (App. Niranjan S. Parmar, dr.6) who had to be checked. Thereafter, GODSWORD further shifted in thereby tightening TEODOR MONTE (App. N. B. Kuldeep, dr.5) causing the latter to be checked and change course thereby bumping MAESTRO and forcing it outwards. After questioning, App. P. S. Kaviraj has been suspended w.e.f. from 31st August, to 1st September, 2019 for careless riding (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

Passing 200 metres, TEODOR MONTE (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out under urgings on to FIRE FLAME (App. A. S. Peter) causing the latter to be checked who lost its footing and stumbled. After questioning, Jockey  N. B. Kuldeep has been suspended for  31st August, 2019 for careless riding (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

Passing 100 metres, BITCOIN (App. K. Pranil) was observed to be in distress and was eased up, due to which CECELIA (App. D. R. Shubham) who was racing on its haunches, had to be steadied. Thereafter, BITCOIN was observed to have been pulled up lame passing the winning post.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that BITCOIN stopped after the winning post. On examination, the gelding was found to be sore by the right fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the gelding was sent to the Equine Hospital for further management. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FIRE FLAME and THEOBROMA were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TEODOR MONTE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(34) –  THE TRUE ELEGANCE PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

MAJESTICAL (App.A.Prakash) took a fly jump

 

At the start, NUSRAT (App. Malam Singh, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with SO SPLENDID (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.2).

 

At the start, WINDSOR FORTUNE (App. A. S. Peter, dr.4) jumped inwards on to SPEEDO (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.3) and thereafter shifted out shifted out under urgings and went across SHE IS A SPY (App.M.Ayyar, dr.5) who had to be steadied and  also inconvenienced ISINIT (App. K. Pranil, dr.6). After questioning, App. A.S.Peter has been cautioned.

 

Passing 800 metres, SHE IS A SPY (App. M. Ayyar) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing SO SPLENDID (N. B. Kuldeep). App.M.Ayyar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 600 metres, DARING EAGLE (App. Gagandeep Mann) was observed to have veered out and thereafter raced on the extreme outside. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures and to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 200 metres, SO SPLENDID (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out under urgings thereby inconveniencing MAJESTICAL (App. A. Prakash). After questioning, Jockey N.B.Kuldeep has been cautioned.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ISINIT had left eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, DARING EAGLE, WINDSOR FORTUNE and NUSRAT (examined on 16/08/2019) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(35) –  THE SAINT EMILION PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1400 Metres –  10 Runners

 

GOLDEN ORCHID (App.K.Nazil) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures.

 

At the start, SMOKY HAZE (S. S. Baria, dr.6) jumped out and made contact with DREAM TRAIL (S. J. Sunil, dr.7), who in turn shifted out on to CRAY CRAY (Akshay dr.8) and had to be steadied.

 

Approaching 200 metres, CRISTO BOSS (Amyn Merchant) shifted in thereby inconveniencing ZEEMO (N. S. Parmar) along the rails, who had to be steadied. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

 

Passing 200 metres, DREAM TRAIL (S. J. Sunil) shifted in thereby inconveniencing CRISTO BOSS (Amyn Merchant). Jockey S. J. Sunil has been cautioned.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that RAPID GIRL had right eye injury (mild corneal opacity and ulcer in the right eye).

 

After the race, ZEEMO was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(36) –  THE ENLIGHTENMENT PLATE : (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer S.K.Sunderji, KILKARRY BRIDGE was examined at 1020 hours on 15/08/2019 and found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that RIQUEWIHR had left eye injury (mild corneal opacity and ulcer in the left eye).

 

After the race, KING KHALIL was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(37) –  THE MAYOR BABURAO SANAS MEMORIAL INDEPENDENCE MILLION (POWERED BY SRS GROUP) : (About) 2000 Metres – 9 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer P.Shroff, KENNEDY was examined at 0730 hours on 15/08/2019 and found to have fever. Also, the gelding had laminitis on both fore. KENNEDY was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 300 metres, Jockey N B Kuldeep (FANFARE) was observed to have lost his whip.  On questing, Jockey N B Kuldeep stated that his whip had slipped in his effort to change the grip from back hand to forehand. This being his first instance during the current Pune Meeting, no action has been initiated.

 

Jockey A Imran Khan (LUCKY LUCIANO) was observed to have raised his hand as a victory sign before passing the Winning Post, as such, he has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

RACE NO.6(38) –  THE  DR. P.K. SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

 

After being stalled, COLLEGIUM  (C.S.Jodha) got restless and kept rearing up and thereafter was not allowing the rider to mount,  as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in his previous start, Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, ARABIAN STORM (Dashrath Singh, dr.7) was observed to have lost its footings and jumped inwards and thereafter shifted in thereby tightening POLYNEICES (S. J. Sunil, dr.6) and SUPER MARIO (A. Sandesh, dr.5) causing them to be checked and drop back.

 

RACE NO.7(39) –  THE SAINT EMILION PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners

 

WE MAKE THE RULES (J,Chinoy) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing 400 metres, ALLEGRIA (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted in thereby tightening DRAGONMOSS (Santosh G.), causing the latter to be checked and drop back. After questioning, App. P. S. Kaviraj has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that GANDALF had right eye injury (sore).

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th race, viz. NIGHTFALL, GAZINO, LUCKY LUCIANO and XOXO, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : RACE NO.29 – THE NELSON RIVER PLATE (DIV.II) RUN ON SUNDAY, 11TH AUGUST, 2019 :

 

Tr.Altamaash A.Ahmed has been fined Rs.1,000/- for bringing his charge ENID BLYTON in the paddock with a Tongue Strap, an equipment for which no prior permission was obtained. The Tongue Strap was removed before the filly left the paddock.
