RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES TO 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

On a request from Trainer Narendra Lagad, permission was granted to Trainer M. K. Jadhav to saddle his charge CHARMING STAR in the 1st race, LIGHTNING BLAZE, TURECI & ZIP ALONG in the 2nd race, HOUSE OF LORDS & HIGH SPIRIT in the 5th race, ROYAL ALAMDAAR in the 6th race, HILMA KLINT in the 7th race, NORTHERN SINGER & DAULAT MAI in the 8th race, at his own (Trainer Narendra Lagad’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer Dallas Todywalla permission was granted to Trainer Sanjay Kolse to saddle his charge CHAMPAGNE SMILE in the 2nd race, WERONIKA in the 5th race, CHAMPERS ON ICE in the 7th race & INTENSE BELIEF in the 8th race.

RACE NO.1(31) – THE SAINT EMILION PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  12

 

Approaching the 600 metres, DOC MARTIN (S. Zervan) shifted out and made contact with HELA (Bhawani Singh).

 

Passing the 450 metres, MAD LOVE (P. Trevor) shifted out onto DOC MARTIN (S. Zervan) causing the latter to check and change course as a result bumping and forcing HELA (Bhawani Singh) outwards. After questioning all concerned Jockey P. Trevor has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, App. Jockey A. Prakash (CAPRIFLA) racing on the haunches of TOUISSANT (N. S. Parmar) and COMMANDMENT (Y. S. Srinath) was observed to have made an effort to take a tight passage between the former thereby inconveniencing himself. App. A. Prakash has been severely reprimanded.

 

After the race, Jockey S. Zervan (DOC MARTIN) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race, despite his efforts. An enquiry has been initiated into running and riding of DOC MARTIN and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, Jockey Y. S. Srinath (COMMANDMENT) reported that his mount lost the footing at the start.

 

After the race, DOC MARTIN was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(32) – THE ROYAL BARBERS TROPHY  - DIVISION II: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  8

 

LADY CADET was brought late in the paddock. As such Tr. Adhirajsingh Jodha has been cautioned.

 

STARRY SPIRIT (N. S. Parmar, dr.7) jumped out throwing its head.

 

LIGHTNING BLAZE (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.4) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, MONTGOMERY (P. S. Chouhan, dr.2) jumped inwards and went onto CHAMPAGNE SMILE (A. Sandesh, dr.1).

 

Approaching the 200 metres, NELSON RIVER (R. Ajinkya) leaned outwards onto ZIP ALONG (Dashrath Singh).

 

After the race, MONTGOMERY & CHAMPAGNE SMILE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ZIP ALONG & STARRY SPIRIT had right eye injury (sore).

 

RACE NO.3(33) – UK RACING ON PLAY.RWITC.COM PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  9

 

MANDEVILLE & ALASTAIR were brought late in the paddock. As such Tr. P. Shroff has been cautioned.

 

REGAL COMMAND (Bhawani Singh, dr.9) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start on viewing the replay it was observed that the blindfold used on the gelding was removed fractionally late. In this connection all the handlers were spoken to and were asked to be more alert in future.

 

At the start, BUCKLEY (A. Sandesh, dr.6) jumped inwards onto WELLINGTON (Santosh G., dr.5) who inturn went onto FLAMING LAMBORGINI (Y. S. Srinath, dr.4) and made contact. In the process WELLINGTON was tightened and dropped back.

 

Passing 300 metres, Jockey Y. S. Srinath (FLAMING LAMBORGINI) was observed to have lost his left rein momentarily.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, MULTISTARRER (P. Trevor) was observed to have shifted out under urgings thereby trying to force a passage as a result made contact with BUCKLEY (A. Sandesh) thereafter at about 150 metres ALASTAIR (P. S. Chouhan) leaned outwards due to which MULTISTARRER racing on his haunches was forced to shift out further. After questioning all concerned, Jockey P. Trevor has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey N S Parmar (PURE) reported that he was denied a clear run in the straight.

 

After the race on questioning Jockey P S Chouhan (ALASTAIR) stated that his mount lugged out in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer P Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures.

 

After the race, MANDEVILLE & ALASTAIR were trotted and found to be sound and BUCKLEY was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.

 

RACE NO.4(34) – THE ENLIGHTENMENT PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 8

 

ALICIA & KINNARA were brought late in the paddock. As such Tr. P. Shroff has been cautioned.

 

At the start, COUNT OF SAVOY (Y. S. Srinath, dr.3) lost his footing at the same time SUMMER NIGHT (Dashrath Singh, dr.4) jumped inwards and made contact with COUNT OF SAVOY.

 

RACE NO.5(35) – THE ROYAL BARBERS TROPHY  - DIVISION I: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  9

 

Jockey S. Zervan (FAIRUZA) has been cautioned for weighing out late.

 

App. P. S. Kaviraj (WERONIKA) has been cautioned for weighing out late.

 

SWEET EMOTION (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) refused to stall despite substantial efforts as such the filly was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

GOLDEN LIONESS (P. S. Chouhan, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (KAITLAN) reported that his mount lost his footings approaching the 200 metres and thereafter was running green.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (HOUSE OF LORDS) reported that his mount was not galloping freely. As such the gelding was subjected to veterinary examination and was found to be sound.

 

After the race, HOUSE OF LORDS & TOUCH OF FURY were trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that HIGH SPIRIT had right eye injury (sore).

 

RACE NO.6(36) – THE MAYOR BABURAO SANAS MEMORIAL INDEPENDENCE MILLION POWERED BY SRS GROUP: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 11

 

GANGSTER (S. Zervan, dr.9) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Passing the 1900 metres, AMPED (N. S. Parmar) shifted in and went across GALLOPING GLORY (App. P. S. Kaviraj) who had to be steadied. Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 500 metres, BRAZOS (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted in and at the same time AMPED (N. S. Parmar) shifted out and they made contact. Jockeys Prashant P. Dhebe and N. S. Parmar have been cautioned

 

Approaching the 400 metres, LETO (A. Sandesh) shifted out onto KAMARIA (Bhawani Singh) outwards onto AMPED (N. S. Parmar). Jockey A. Sandesh will be questioned in this regard and a report will be submitted.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ZARAK had both eyes injuries and LETO had right eye injury (sore).

 

RACE NO.7(37) – THE JANARDHAN TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  14

 

MAGILETO was brought late in the paddock. As such Tr. Altaf Hussain has been cautioned.

 

Soon after the start, PERIWINKLE (K. Nazil) shifted out thereby bumping CHAMPERS ON ICE (App. A. Prakash) outwards forcing it outwards onto ESPERANZA (S. Zervan) thereafter ESPERANZA shifted in and went across CHAMPERS ON ICE and PERIWINKLE causing them to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockeys S. Zervan and K. Nazil have been reprimanded.

 

Approaching the 600 metres, MAGILETO (App. M. S. Deora) shifted in thereby inconveniencing FORTUNE TELLER (T. S. Jodha). App. M. S. Deora has been cautioned.

 

After the race, it was observed that the saddle used on (MAGILETO) had slipped back during the race. As such, Trainer Altaf Hussain has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling this being the first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2022.

 

After the race, INDIAN CROWN found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race

 

After the race, MAGILETO found to have injury on left hind tendon.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that HILMA KLINT had left eye injury (sore) and ALMAS had both eye injuries (sore).

 

RACE NO.8(38) – THE TRUE ELEGANCE PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  14

 

RED DUST, TOOFAAN & SCOTTISH SCHOLAR were brought late in the paddock. As such Tr. Faisal A. Abbas has been cautioned.

 

SUPREME BEING (Raghuveer Singh, dr.1) and MYRCELLA (H. Zeeshan, dr.3) refused to stall despite substantial efforts as such both the said horses were withdrawn before coming under starter’s order. Trainers Ivor Fernandes and Shazaan Shah have been asked to give their charges more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

RAGNER (R. Rupesh, dr.10) was slow to begin and thereafter veered outwards.

 

Soon after the start, RED DUST (App. A. Prakash) shifted in onto INTENSE BELIEF (App. P. Vinod) thereafter RED DUST further shifted in and went across PERFECT MAN (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to check. App Jockey A Prakash has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, TOOFAN (Amyn Merchant) shifted in thereby tightening the field on his inside due to which INTENSE BELIEF (App. A. Prakash) and DAULAT MAI (Akash Agarwal) were inconvenienced and were to be check. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
