RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES , 7 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 9 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES RUN AT THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer Nosher Cama, permission was granted to Trainer Nirad Karanjawala to saddle his charges EMOTIONLESS (1st race) and GAZINO (4th race), at his own (Trainer Nosher Cama’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Bipin Salvi, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh to saddle his charge MASTER OF UNIVERSE in the 4th race, at his own (Trainer Bipin Salvi’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(144) –THE TRANCE PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 6 

 

After the race, GDANSK was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, EMOTIONLESS was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(145) – THE VALLABHDAS H.ADWALIA TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 9

 

GNOSTIC EYES (P. S. Chouhan) jumped out slow losing about 4 lengths at the start. Tr.Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing 300 metres, CLASSICUS (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out under urgings and carried GOLD MAGIC (App. K. Nazil) outwards who had to be steadied. App. P. S. Kaviraj has been cautioned.

 

RACE NO.3(146) – THE PURPLE LIFESTYLE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 8 

 

TURACO was permitted to be withdrawn on compassionate grounds.

 

Approaching 800 metres, WARRIOR CLAN (S. S. Baria) and CELESTIA (Neeraj Rawal) were observed to have jostled.

 

Passing 800 metres, BLACK CHERRY (Robbie Downey) shifted out and went across TRACK STAR (Amyn Merchant). Thereafter, the filly again shifted in thereby inconveniencing TRACK STAR.  After the race, Jockey Robbie Downey reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, BLACK CHERRY was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(147) – THE  SIR CHARLES FORBES TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 7 

 

At the start, GAZINO (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.7) jumped inwards and at the same time ANGELS TOUCH (App. Bhawani Singh, dr.5) jumped outwards thereby tightening EXCELLENT GOLD (A. Sandesh, dr.6).

 

Approaching 600 metres, GAZINO (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted in and went across PURE ZINC (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. App. P. S. Kaviraj has been cautioned,

 

Passing 200 metres, ANGELS TOUCH (App. Bhawani Singh) shifted out and carried QUEEN CREDIBLE (App. A. S. Peter) outwards.

 

After the race, Jockey Nirmal Jodha (MASTER OF UNIVERSE) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Bipin Salvi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

After the race, QUEEN CREDIBLE was observed to have lost its left fore shoe.

 

RACE NO.5(148) – THE  MID DAY TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners-  8 

 

At the start, FIRE FLAME (App. S. A. Amit, dr.2) jumped outwards and thereafter, THEOBROMA (App. N. B. Kuldeep, dr.4) shifted in due to which BONAFIDE (App. Gagandeep Mann, dr3) was tightened for room.

 

Passing 800 metres, DANCING LANCES (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and went across BONAFIDE (App. Gagandeep Mann) who had to be checked and change course thereby inconveniencing HIGHLAND EMPRESS (P.  S. Chouhan) and LORD COMMANDER (A. Sandesh). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

 

From the 250 metres, DANCING LANCES (Amyn Merchant) was inclined outwards and went across BONAFIDE (App. Gagandeep Mann) who had to be steadied. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that LOIRE was trotted after the race and found to be sound. Subsequently, on examination at the Club’s Equine Hospital on 16/02/2019, the mare was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LORD COMMANDER and HIGHLAND EMPRESS were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(149) – THE EMPERADO PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 12

 

At the start, GENTILLESSE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3) jumped outwards and at the same time PILATUS (App. M. Ayyar, dr.5) jumped inwards thereby tightening SHE’S A TIGER (Amyn Merchant, dr.4).

 

Passing 350 metres, USTAD PEDRO (App. N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out on to POCO AZUL (Akshay), who in turn shifted out on to GENTILLESSE (Neeraj Rawal). After the race, App. N. B. Kuldeep reported that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in its previous run, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting with him to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (GENTILLESSE) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, DEMOCRAT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, GENTILLESSE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(150) – THE SECRET HALO PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14

 

Tr. A. M .Jadhav had declared Jockey D.A.Naik on his charge SAMURAI when the said Jockey was not eligible to ride in this race. Subsequently, Tr.A.M.Jadhav was permitted to declare App.Bhawani Singh and he has been fined Rs.1,000/- for this lapse.

 

At the start, ONE EYED PRINCESS (App. Parbat Singh, dr.5) jumped inwards thereby bumping and tightening TEODOR MONTE (App.  Malam Singh, dr.4).

 

At the stat, CRAY CRAY (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr.11) jumped inwards and at the same time SAMURAI (App. Bhawani Singh, dr.8) jumped outwards there by tightening ADAMS BEGINNING (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.9) and  DECCAN KING (App. S. A. Amit, dr.10).

 

Soon after the start, PLEIADES (App. M. Ayyar) shifted in thereby forcing CRAY CRAY (App. Vishal N. Bunde) inwards, who in turn shifted in and made contact with SAMURAI (App. Bhawani Singh). Due to this ADAMS BEGINNING (App. D. R. Shubham) was also inconvenienced.

 

Approaching 1100 metres, ISINIT (App. K. Nazil) shifted out and went on to ANNIVERSARY GIRL (App. P. S. Kaviraj) who had to be checked. App. K. Nazil has been cautioned.

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 5th and 7th viz. SILVER FLAMES, HIGHLAND EMPRESS and PLEIADES, and the special sample of GDANSK (1st race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
