RACE
NO.1(331) – THE KAZAKH PLATE: (About)
1400 Metres – Runners - 8
NEPTUNE was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge STAR BUILDER.
HOT AS ICE (App.S.Mosin) jumped out throwing its head. Trainer Himmat Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
At the start, GLOWING MIST (A.Ahshhad Asbar, dr.7) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to SNOW FLAKE (A.Sandesh, dr.8).
POLAR ZONE (P.Trevor) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
The saddle on HOT AS ICE was observed to have slipped back during the race, as such, Trainer Himmat Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
The Sr.V.O. reported that after completion of the race, PTOLEMY was observed to be returning sore from the left fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the horse was sent to the Equine Hospital by Horse Ambulance for further management. PTOLEMY has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, it was observed that STAR BUILDER and GLOWING MIST had both lost their left hind plate. POLAR ZONE was found to be sound.

NO.2(332) – THE P.B.AVASIA PLATE:
(About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 5
App.Nikhil Bhujbal was declared to ride on two horses viz. SAINTS N SINNERS and ALBUURZ by Trainers Rehanullah Khan and Adhirajsingh Jodha respectively. After enquiring, it was found that Trainer Narendra Lagad had given permission to both the Trainers to declare the Apprentice. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
At the start, WINGS OF GLORY (Akshay, dr.1) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to ALBUURZ (App.Nikhil Bhujbal, dr.2), who went on to SHARAARAT (A.Sandesh, dr.3), who in turn went on to MABLE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.4) who had also shifted in as the filly was playful in the stall.
Passing 400 metres, WINGS OF GLORY (Akshay) lugged out and carried SAINTS N SINNERS (App.Prasad) outwards, who in turn inconvenienced MABLE (Neeraj Rawal). Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
An objection was lodged by Apprentice Prasad, rider of SAINTS N SINNERS (Placed Third) against WINGS OF GLORY (Akshay, Placed Second). The reason being, at around 400 metres, WINGS OF GLORY came out alarmingly in front of him and kept coming out and made him shift further out whereby he had to travel extra ground and this cost him certain second place.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:-
SHARAARAT - FIRST; WINGS OF GLORY - THIRD;
SAINTS N SINNERS - SECOND; MABLE - FOURTH
After the race, WINGS OF GLORY and ALBUURZ were found to be sound.

NO.3(333) – THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA PLATE:
(About) 1800 Metres – Runners – 3
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, WORD OF HONOUR was examined at 1945 hours on 13/04/2013 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After being stalled, HIDDEN GOODNESS (P.Trevor) hooked one of his hind legs on to the side platform. The horse was taken out and thereafter reloaded.
An objection was lodged by Jockey S.Zervan, rider of COLOSSUS (Placed Second) against HIDDEN GOODNESS (P.Trevor, PlacedFirst). The reason being, HIDDEN GOODNESS tightened the field from the outside and came on to HONEST PLEASURE (Neeraj Rawal) who in turn came on to him, due to which he had to stop riding in the final furlong for a couple of strides and then start riding again, whereby he lost a certain race.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
After the race, COLOSSUS was found to be sound.

NO.4(334) –THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB TROPHY: (About)
1200 Metres – Runners - 6
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (VISIONIST) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for coming late into the paddock.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (VISIONIST) reported loss of whip between 300 and 200 metres.
After the race, MONZA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, ANAHI was observed to have a cut injury below the right hock. ORITO was found to be sound.

NO.5(335) – THE JAGUAR TROPHY (DIV.I): (About)
1200 Metres – Runners – 10
LAURUS PRIDE (Vikash Tamang) lugged in from 300 metres and carried HOLIDAY DANCER (Saddam Hussain) inwards. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.
Jockey Saddam Hussain (HOLIDAY DANCER) has been cautioned for exulting before passing the Post.
Jockey T.See (BETHLEHEM) reported loss of whip near 300 metres.
An objection was lodged by Jockey Akshay, rider of ALWAYS SMILE (Placed Fourth) against ZOE (M.Firdaus, Placed Third) for shifting-in in the last 150 metres, taking his ground and boring and touching his horse twice and not bothering to change his whip hand and correct the horse despite the horse lugging in.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
After the race, MIRACLE OF MERCY, BETHLEHEM, CEASARINA, LAURUS PRIDE, PISTOL PACKIN MAMA and ZOE were found to be sound.

NO.6(336) – THE J.D. & PEGGY BANATWALLA
TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8
BRIGHT LADY (D.K.Ashish) hung out in the final 200 metres and carried CYCLOPS (R.Vaibhav) and then HIGHRAZ (Neeraj Rawal) outwards. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
ZORAVAAR (A.Sandesh) ran unsettled when the horse became keen and tried to drift out.
HIGHRAZ (Neeraj Rawal) and SET SAIL (A Ashhad Asbar) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race both the horses.
After the race, BRIGHT LADY was found to be sound.

NO.7(337) – THE INDO-SINGAPORE APPRENTICE
CHAMPIONS TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres

Near 200 metres, Jockey W.L.Tan (SHERLOCK HOLMES) lost his left rein which he regained shortly.
Jockeys W.L.Tan (SHELOCK HOLMES) and Vikash Tamang (MOUNTAIN WARRIOR) have been cautioned for allowing their respective mounts to drift out in the final 400 metres.
ZOLTAN (Saddam Hussain) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
The Sr.V.O. reported that after completion of the race, MAORI CHIEF was observed to be returning sore from the left fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the horse was sent to the Equine Hospital by Horse Ambulance for further management. MAORI CHIEF has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, SHERLOCK HOLMES was found to be sound.

HACHIKO (A.Sandesh) lugged-in in the final 200 metres. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, WINDS OF FORTUNE was found to be sound.

NO.9(339) – THE JAGUAR TROPHY (DIV.II):
(About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 11
Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.6,000/- i.e. Rs.3,000/- per horse, for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charges ARMEL and WINCHESTER.
Approaching 600 metres, MAGIC MELODY (S.S.Baria) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of NEGREDO (A.Sandesh) and lost position.
The Sr.V.O. reported that after completion of the race, ARABIAN CHIEF was observed to be returning sore from the right fore leg. First Aid treatment was given and the horse was sent to the Equine Hospital by Horse Ambulance for further management. ARABIAN CHIEF has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ARMEL and BLUSH were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th race viz. SNOW FLAKE, HIGHRAZ, SHERLOCK HOLMES, HACHIKO and NEGREDO, as also that of MANYATTA & HEMISPHERE (8th race), and the special sample of COLOSSUS (3rd race) and MONZA (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

The Sr.V.O. reported that after the mock race, LAZOR RAZOR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

RE: APPEAL FROM JOCKEY S.ZERVAN
AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE STEWARDS OF THE CLUB IN RESPECT OF SUSPENSION OF
HIS JOCKEY’S LICENSE W.E.F 13TH APRIL 2013 TO 21ST APRIL
2013 (BOTH DAYS INCLUSIVE). (PERMITTED TO RIDE WORK/ MOCK RACE) FOR BEING
GUILTY OF IMPROPER RIDING ON HIS MOUNT “WINSTON” IN RACE NO. 290 RUN ON 28TH
MARCH 2013 – JOCKEY S ZERVAN WAS GIVEN A STAY UNTIL HIS APPEAL WAS HEARD :
The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Sunday, 14th April, 2013 having considered all documents and papers that were submitted, including the Grounds of Appeal and having heard the submissions made by Jockey S.Zervan and his Spokesman, Mr.Vispi Patel and having viewed the video tape recording of the race in question, deliberated the matter at length and having applied their minds, decided to reject his appeal and forfeit his deposit. Accordingly, the decision of the Stewards of the Club stands. In view of the stay granted to Jockey S.Zervan, his Jockey’s license now stands suspended w.e.f. 20th April, 2013 to 28th April, 2013.
