RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES  AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT 1800 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 1600 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1400 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 8 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES  AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST.  RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

On a request from Trainer Deepesh Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer M. Narredu to saddle his charges POWERFUL STAR (1st race), QUEENSHIP (7th race) and SALTBAE (8th race), at his own (Trainer Deepesh Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Faisal A. Abbas, permission was granted to Trainer Nirad Karanjwala to saddle his charge AGRAMI in the 3rd race, at his own (Trainer Faisal A. Abbas’) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(30) –THE NOBLE OPINION PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  14   

 

FIRE PRINCESS (App. Aniket Karande) planted, taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, DANCING JADE (Raghuveer Singh) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.

 

Soon after the start, PEZULA (App. K. Pranil) shifted in and went across the field thereby tightening and inconveniencing ARABIAN MUKHTAR (S. G. Prasad) and FIRE FLAME (K. Nazil). After questioning, App. K. Pranil has been fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in before crossing the Red Marker.

 

From the 400 meters, GOLD MEMBER (Nirmal Jodha) was observed to have maintained an erratic course thereby causing interference to WAR WEAPON (T. S. Jodha) on more than one occasion. Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing 200 metres, DIVIJA (C. S. Jodha) shifted out on to PRIMUM NON NOCERE (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

 

PRIMUM NON NOCERE (Neeraj Rawal) was declared to run with aluminum, left hind high heel shoes but ran with aluminium, both fore bonded shoes. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.

 

After the race, SHADOWS was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind tendon and FIRE FLAME had a cut injury at the left fore coronet.

 

RACE NO.2(31) –THE AN ACQUIRED TASTE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  8     

 

MARVIN (A. Sandesh) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

Approaching 500 metres, FASSBINDER (S. Zervan) was observed to have over-reached thereby clipping the heels of BLUE BLOOD (Shailesh Shinde) and stumbled.

 

Passing 400 metres, MARVIN (A. Sandesh) leaned inwards thereby tightening BLUE BLOOD (Shailesh Shinde) along the rails. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

 

Approaching 200 metres, BLUE BLOOD (Shailesh Shinde) shifted in and went across IRISH EYES (P. S. Chouhan) who had to be steadied. Jockey Shailesh Shinde has been cautioned.

 

RACE NO.3(32) –THE MAPLE STAR PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  13    

 

Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been fined Rs.1,000/- for accepting with his charge OFFICER IN COMMAND in this race while the horse was on Veterinary Ban. The gelding was struck out at the Acceptance stage.

 

WILD FLOWER (J. Chinoy) planted and had to be ushered out of the gates.  Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 800 metres, AGRAMI (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in and made contact with EPIPHANY (T. S. Jodha). Thereafter, passing the 800 metres, GRAND SINATRA (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in thereby bumping and forcing AGRAMI (App. A. S. Peter) inwards on to EPIPHANY (T. S. Jodha) who was also bumped and unbalanced. After questioning all concerned, App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.2,000/- and Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Passing 700 meters, RISING BRAVE (Shahrukh Khan) shifted in and went across ISINIT (App. A. Prakash) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey Shahrukh Khan has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of AGRAMI and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, SAFDAR was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that BRAVE had left eye injury (mild ulcer) and DANCING LANCES had right eye injury (mild ulcer).

 

RACE NO.4(33) –THE PRICELESS PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners -  13     

 

At the start, ONE FOR THE GLORY (Kishore Kadam, dr.9) jumped outwards thereby forcing LORITO (Dashrath Singh, dr.10) outwards, who in turn went across GOLD MEDALIST (K. Nazil, dr.13). Jockey Kishore Kadam has been cautioned.

 

Soon after the start, BRAZOS (N. S. Parmar) shifted out on to FIRE N ICE (Neeraj Rawal) who in turn shifted out on to ONE FOR THE GLORY (Kishore Kadam). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 1800 metres, BOLD LEGEND (P. S. Chouhan) shifted out and made contact with BRAZOS (N. S. Parmar) who had to be steadied. Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.

 

Passing 800 metres, ONE FOR THE GLORY (Kishore Kadam) weakened as a result ROGUE ONE (App. P. S. Kaviraj) who was racing on its haunches, had to be checked.

 

Passing 700 metres, due to a tightly packed field, ROGUE ONE (App. P. S. Kaviraj) had to be steadied, due to which BRAZOS (N. S. Parmar) who was racing on its haunches, was forced to check and change course due to which POWER OF THOR (J. Chinoy) who was racing alongside, was tightened for room and had to be checked.

 

Passing 300 metres, FIRE N ICE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out despite the rider’s efforts thereby taking the ground of BOLD LEGEND (P. S. Chouhan) who had to be checked and change course. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.  

 

After the race, App. P. S. Kaviraj (ROUGH ONE) reported the loss of whip passing the 200 metres. On being questioned, he stated that as he was changing his grip from the fore hand to back hand position, his whip had slipped.  This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2020/21, no action has been initiated.

 

RACE NO.5(34) –THE CURSETJEE DHUNJISHAW TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  7     

 

After the race, NOBLE HEIR was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(35) –THE F.D.WADIA TROPHY (GR.3): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 5   

 

No report.

 

RACE NO.7(36) –THE AN ACQUIRED TASTE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  8     

 

At the start, IRON THORN (T. S. Jodha, Dr.8) veered outwards and had to be steadied. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

Soon after the start, MAGIC IN THE WIND (N. S. Parmar) leaned inwards onto SERIOUSLY (A. Sandesh) who in-turn shifted in inconveniencing ALLIED ATTACK (Dashrath Singh) and RAMBUNCTIOUS (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 300 metres, SERIOUSLY (A. Sandesh) was observed to have weekend and dropped back thereby inconveniencing QUARENCIA (C. S. Jodha).

 

After the race, SERIOUSLY was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(37) –THE NOBLE OPINION PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  14     

 

KANADARIO (K. Nazil) lost about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, C’EST L’AMOUR and SUAREZ were trotted and found to be sound. TRISTAR had lost its right fore shoe.

 

Passing the winning post, TRISTAR (P. S. Chouhan) shied outwards and went across MOMENT OF MADNESS (Shahrukh Khan) due to which App. Shahrukh Khan lost his balance and fell after passing the winning post.

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd, 4th and 8th race, viz. RED CARNATION, BOLD LEGEND and C’EST L’AMOUR, and the urine and blood sample of LEOPARD ROCK & TIGRIO (Winner & Second Placed – 6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

App. Kirtish Bhagat was observed to have entered the Outer Sand Track after it was closed for maintenance purpose. As such, he has been fined Rs. 500/-.
